Good game. Could there possibly be any more distractions during that game? Nice job keeping your focus.
No joy?
great match... fun to watch
The lady in pink looks like Shr is serving side ways rather than under handed ?
@@kathywolfe9020 The paddle needs to stay under the wrist and below the waist at contact. She has a legal serve.
I love playing it. The group I play with are playing pickelball on steroids. They hit the ball hard all of the time and rarely come to the kitchen.
Great video as I'm interested what the skill level is at this age group...
@@jokieser5988 it was open to everyone with a minimum 4.0 skill level and at least 60 years old.
Lady in white is the best player!
These ladies are real bangers! I think they would benefit from getting better with drop shots.
In my observation they played like 3.5
who won the 3rd match?
Curious what rackets the lady in pink and her partner are using?
Wish you had some women's matches
5.0 play pretty good
What level is this?
4.5? 😂
So what level of play was this?
Ball at 32:29 looked in.
Like these videos because you can see the whole court. Like the seniors. The guy that kept hitting to the injured woman is a scum. Just saying
Maybe there were 4 teams in the 4.5/5.0 bracket 😳
No way these players are 4.5 and 5.0. Not even close
This is 4.5-5.0 play?
I didn’t know the hulk played pickleball
4.5 5.0???
Pop up’s are painful. Very tough to manage
The guy in black shirt kept poaching to his partner's side and left his own court wide open and missed several balls as a result. Would be nice he trust his partner more and cover his own court.
he's probably watching the pros too much and trying to play like them. doesn't work for us average Joes
I counted 7 points he lost (when receiving, so actual lost points) by poaching his partner, then being ridiculously out of positions. That being said the game was played in good spirits
You know your feet aren't supposed to touch the nvz line when you volley, right?
Do you think we were standing on the line, from this camera angle?
Very much so. As soon as the guy in black on the ad side moves forward it looks like his toes are on the line!
@@Shaun949 maybe your right but I don’t think it’s definitive. Need a side angle to be sure.
For sure. Hard to tell from the angle
almost all 3rd shot drives. almost no resets.
stop that damn grunting no harder than you hit the ball..geez
Thanks for watching!
Great play by winning team…reset, dink consistency..
Thanks for your comments!
Do you have any of their earlier matches in the tournament?
@@pickleballroadlesstraveled Tony Repicky, the guy in the red shirt is also in the MXD 55-59 Bronze Medal match. I wish I could have filmed them all.
@@spaghettimanpickleball thx his partner was who I was looking for….ty
@@spaghettimanpickleball I thought repecky was his partner…ok thx…..so red shirt if repecky is a 5.8 Dupr
Good match; thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great game! I believe this is the first game that I have heard you do any commentary, and I enjoyed it. Thank you
That was actually my good friend Gary Wilson doing the commentary, I will let him know. Thanks
Good moves, but please lose the sissy tail!
Very nice, thanks
Glad you liked it!
What great players and what great sports all around. I enjoyed this game tremendously. ❤
Thanks so much for letting us know. I appreciate you!
Geez I play against players in their late 70’s and they can out play these 4 players
@@lauracegelski8009 ok, thanks for sharing your thoughts
sure you do
Yea, riigghhtt? SMH.
Remember this is at the end of a tournament, probably been a long and warm day.
Smart players play to stay not make errors
Awesome play!
@@acarter2072 thanks for watching!

@@bethechange4726 thanks for watching.
The up-close team did so many nice 3rd shot drops at first!
Thanks for your comment!
What are the level of these players?

Sure would help to have the score provided - either visually or verbally. Thanks for the play-by-play!
We were saying the score occasionally during the play-by-play and was hoping that was enough. Thanks for watching.
good video
Glad you enjoyed it
senior 4.0 player, I try to study these games and I really enjoy your commentary, it helps me learn and hopefully get to that level, thanks for the commitment
Thanks so much!🙏
Mad skills on Display!! Thankz!!
Thanks for watching
How is it determined if you are a 4.5?
Usually, by playing tournaments and your results from them
Thank you for the excellent games. Usually I fall asleep but you four had strategic moves and kept it interesting!
Thanks for watching my videos, I'm glad you like them
I really appreciated having the score updated in real time in the corner of the screen. Much thanks!

Having watched so many different games on RUclips and in person, I'm thoroughly confused regarding the player ratings. There seems to be a significant disparity between one group of 4.0, 4.5, or 5.0 players verses others. Does anyone else share that opinion as well?
@@duanehensley8835 until a better rating system comes out, in my opinion, ratings are for novelty purposes and shouldn’t be taken too seriously. 😳
@@spaghettimanpickleball Should one expect that an older 55+ 4.0 player to be not as good as a younger 4.0 player? In other words, how good a player actually is is based off of a compelation of age bracket and dupre ratings?
@@duanehensley8835 just 5 years ago, before any attempt at a formulated rating system, tournament directors gave the governing body recommendations for an individuals skill level. They were for life unless you wanted to challenge it at some point. A 5.0 player over 50 years old would mostly lose to the younger 5.0 but not when playing other 50+ players. The new rating systems are based on wins regardless of age. The data is incomplete with no subjective data allowed. In my opinion, it’s made the ratings very confusing for everyone. I would like to see more age based tournaments with pool play followed with an upper and lower bracket playoff.
The greater the level player; the better there foot work and the more relaxed and consistent they are in their form, technique and strokes. And speed and athleticism does not always win.
@@spaghettimanpickleball The only advantage a younger player may have over an older player of the same ranking is MAYBE speed/athleticism and MAYBE vision. The greater the level player; the better there foot work and the more relaxed and consistent they are in their form, technique and strokes. And speed and athleticism does not always win.
