I'm a trucker who stays out for months, and i save so much money not having to buy butane canisters for my portable gas stove by simply using my instant pot.
And since i started following your recipes, I'm happy to say i lost 15 lbs and eating as good and tasty food as ever!
Thank you!
I can't tell you how happy this makes me! I love hearing that you are enjoying these recipes and saving money!
I used to use a slow cooker. The I.P. would be better. I was a OTR trucker for 30 years.
That’s great! Thanks for the tip, I’m going to check out more recipes from her.
That's awesome! I'm curious what power battery you use in your truck to make that possible. It's something I'm looking into. Jackery is one of the most popular brands and can be charged via the running vehicle, solar panels, or a wall outlet. I've been researching about watts, watt hours, etc., plus taking into account if a fridge/freezer are also plugged into it. 6 qt Instant Pot typically uses 1000 watts but then watt hours means how long it is run for. Batteries typically cost $1 per watt. So 1,000 watts is like $1,000 and would run that Instant Pot one hour before needing to be charged again, and thats with no other appliances running. I'm still learning though and may be understanding it wrong.
@@flowersafeheart since he didn't answer yet, if you still interesting, he is probably using 12v/24v battery (that is built-in in the car, that is needed to "make sparks" to ignite fuel to make the engine run) with invertor allowing to use normal home appliances, for example 12v dc 230v ac invertor
Hi, I just wanted to thank you for this recipe. I've tried a few Instant Pot spaghetti recipes, but this one is the one that I've had consistent success with. I am chronically ill and standing in front of a hot stove to cook pasta for 10+ minutes is usually a bad time. There have been many days where it was easier for me to go hungry than to bother with cooking anything at all. But with this, I can throw the ingredients in my IP and go take a rest! Thank you!
You are so welcome. I am sending you hugs and love. Chronic illness is exhausting. I am honored to help make your life easier in a small way.
Hesitant Dad here. I made this recipe and it worked great. Whole family loved it. I’m not a cook but decided to learn IP cooking so we could have better meals. I’m always sure it won’t work out, but it does! This is one of my regulars now. Thanks so much for taking the time to teach IP cooking. You really are helping us eat better. Cheers.
I absolutely LOVE hearing that these recipes are helping you to eat better and feel better about using your Instant pot. Keep it up!
That was exactly my thoughts initially as well! And then exactly my same verdict when I prepared it and ate it! so quick! so good!
@@ryankillpatrick Love hearing that!
Thank you so much! I got my first Instant Pot 2 days ago and am making my first recipe tonight. Starting simpls. The more I researched it the more excited I got, then the manual has been excellent in walking d through getting to know the basics. I was a little nervous doing the initial test run with just water but I had taken time to read the manual and it went great. Now videos like yours are gonna help me learn the tips and tricks as I go. I saw a video of sauce in a pot in pot on a rack instead but your method must meld all the flavors very yummy!! And looks super duper easy. I like not having to deal with multiple pots or a strainer.
I hope you find my recipes easy to follow and if you need any tips on using the Instant Pot, don't hesitate to ask.
THANK YOU! We made it meatless, except for chicken bone broth! Those of us who like spaghetti LOVED it! Even our 19 year old cat loves it! Yes, before everyone fusses at me, I know he probably shouldn’t have it; but at his age he gets it occasionally. The addition of the broth made a ton of difference!❤
I am so happy to hear you all enjoyed (cat included)
Thanks for this Kristen! Another simple one pot meal to cook without steaming up the kitchen on hot summer evenings.
You are so welcome! I hope you enjoy and stay cool!

My girl! I followed the instructions just as you said and it came out delicious. We added a but more salt and cilantro for taste, but it came out great. Thanks.
Fantastic!

GIIIRRRL you are three for three!! These recipes are truly phenomenal.

Mamma Mia oh so good!!!!!
Fabulous! Happy to hear you enjoyed
Great and delicious!!!
Thank you 😋 I love hearing you enjoyed!
Thank you for all your recipe videos. You have some really wonderful recipes. I was looking forward to this one when I realized I didn't have any ground meat on hand. Oops. I checked the freezer and found some frozen meatballs from Walmart. I used about a half-bag and when I dished it up and tasted it.....OH, WOW! It was wonderful and so incredibly simple. Olive Garden, look out! This was as good a batch of spaghetti and meatballs as I've ever eaten.
You are so welcome! I am glad you were able to make do using what you had as well!
so glad to find your video. Im so lazy making pasta coz so many washed dish! This is so awesome and really saving time in the kitchen. thanks for sharing
You are so welcome!
Great one
Thank you!
Came across your simple recipe. My dad was from Naples. We grew up on macaroni. Every kind.
Well after watching this I vow never to boil my macaroni ever again on the stove top. Lol
I will use my new insta pot.
This looks so quick and delicious
I am making this tonight!!!
Dad would love it. I know he would
Thanks
Ciao
Hope you enjoy
Bravo! Second time I've followed one of your recipes- and realized I wasn't subscribed 😳 idk how that happened. Lol I could have sworn I subscribed last time with your soup recipe. I hope you are having a good feel day, and your health is better. Xx
Well, I am happy you subscribed now :) I am doing well currently! I hope you are as well!
made this last night. Rao pasta 8oz. Paul Newman sauce. Rosina Brand meat balls. Beef broth. seemed watery when done, but it kept getting thicker. Used 6min due to the meatballs being frozen. It really is good. No hype. Use the broth, gives that flavor. 🙂
Wonderful! So happy to hear you enjoyed the spaghetti!
I’ve watched both of your spaghetti recipes. I liked the older one, that had the sauce recipe. My community has discontinued glass recycling, so I’m trying to use as little glass as possible. It might be helpful to link your older video, sauce recipe is quite good. Thank you for sharing your chronic illness, not everyone is understanding of the daily challenges. Have a wonderful day!👍🙂
Thank you for sharing that! I will keep that in mind!
I appreciate the little bits of necessary information….deglazing after sautéing….as I am a brand new user of an instant pot. And your constant reminder of using a long handled spoon to release the steam….safety first!😊
I am thrilled to hear you found my tips helpful.
This turned out delicious when I turned it gluten free and didn’t have broth. For anyone interested-
I used Jovial Gluten Free Capellini aka angel hair (read carefully, they also sell einkorn pasta which is not gluten free!)
The pressure cook time was 4 min.
To sub broth I used a quart of water with enough salt to “taste like broth” and added on top of everything: a handful of frozen sliced mushrooms, and a broken up carrot stick. The meat was 2 lbs.
👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Thank you for sharing!
Now I want spaghetti 🍝 ❤️
Totally need to make it :)
I made IP sweet potatoes and they turned out so good.
Wonderful! They are a favorite of mine too!

I really enjoy your channel. You keep it delicious.
@@gracielou4075 Thank you so much
Your recipes are spot on! Keep doing what you’re doing. 😊
Thanks so much! 😊
I made one of the best tasting spaghetti's I ever had following this recipe.
I used spicy Italian sausage, a quality garlic and onion pasta sauce, and I used some red paper flakes as well.
Thank you so much.
Thanks for sharing! I love hearing you enjoyed!
Thank you! How many servings do you get out this recipe? Also, does left overs stay good in the fridge?
Hi there!! Store the leftovers for 3-4 days in a sealed container in the refrigerator. I typically add a splash of water or broth to reheat as the noodles absorb the sauce as they sit. And it is 6 servings :)
homegirl! thank you SOOOOO much!!! I got ALL my ingridients for spaghetti, but Igot some running to do today and can't be chilling in the kitchen right now! you've just helped me free up some time-space AND still get some supper ready!!!
SUBSCRIBED!!!
Fabulous! Enjoy dinner
Hi
Thanks fir the vid, yr great!
What do you mean plz by saying “Deglaze the pot”?
Hey! That means to add a bit of liquid and scrape up any browned bits off the bottom of the inner pot. :) Enjoy!
@@AMindFullMom Thanks A Lot
You’re wonderful 👍
Hi! I want to use brown spaghetti instead of regular one. Can I use the same amount of water? And also the same cooktime as the regular?
I use whole wheat all the time with great success :)
Will this work for angle hair pasta, the only type I like? Good video.
I don't recommend using angel hair pasta in the Instant Pot, it really clumps together.
I finally got around to trying this recipe and it came out just like you said it would: Perfect! I used some chicken bone broth I recently made in the Instant Pot. So cool not to have to strain the water from the noodles. Thanks for all the time you put in to make things easy for us.
You bet! I am so glad you enjoyed!
👍🏻👍🏻
Is duo different? I’m new at this instant pot thing. Thanks.
It is a different model but will work the same :) Enjoy!
I made this and it came out to soft .
I am sorry to hear that. Did you allow for longer than 5 minutes of natural pressure release? What brand of noodles did you use?
I ❤pasta and cheese 🧀
You will love this!
Could you substitute bow ties spaghetti with this recipe? We love your recipes.
Thanks Susan! For bow-tie noodles, cook for 6 minutes on high pressure with 5 minutes of natural pressure release.
@@AMindFullMom Thank you, that is great. My hubby loves the bow ties.
I'm doing this tonight. Btw you're freaking ADORABLE 😍
Hope you like it! And thank you!
Hi Kristen! Last night I tried this recipe and the spaghetti got stuck to the bottom of the liner and I got a burn notice. Any suggestions? Maybe I did something wrong. I love ALL your Instant Pot recipes and I have tried many with much success. 😀
Hey there! I am so sorry you had a burn issue. Be sure to add broth first. Then noodles (Criss-crossing) and top with sauce. Let me know if you did that and it still said burn. If so, your pot may be a bit more sensitive and I would suggest adding 1/3 cup more liquid.
@@AMindFullMom Yes I did put 1/4 cup broth to deglaze the liner. Next time I'll try 1/2 cup. Thank you for your suggestion.
And be sure to scrape up any browned bits using a spatula.
@@faustino927
This was delicious but I did muck up conversion from imperial to metric measurements will definitely become a favorite here.. Ps definitely don't use angel hair noodles for this recipe..
I am so happy you enjoyed, even if you did make a few mistakes!
I have a request please. Can you do an instant pot from scratch rice a roni recipe, without meat
Thanks for the request! I will add to my list to try to perfect :)
Great recipe except for food burn 🔥. It was against my better judgement to layers noodles first as since I read starchy things on the bottom will burn. Since I lay meat 🥩 down first since I learned this, I haven’t had the food burn. But I followed recipe exactly and I had food burn again. So I had another pot to throw the good food in and finish cooking and it turned out great. Meanwhile the food burn bowl is soaking over night. But overall, I will make this again. Thanks for this recipe.❤😂😊
Hmm, I am sorry you had a burn occur. Can I ask what model you have? And always be sure to layer broth, then meat is fine, then noodles, topped with sauce.
@@AMindFullMom instant pot 8 quart
@@LakeTahoeGem The 8-quart models are simply more finicky. I am sorry for the frustration
I tried this with ground turkey. I deglazed after browning the meat. Unfortunately, I still got a burn notice because the pasta stuck to and burned on the bottom. I followed the instructions as you listed. Do you have any idea what might have gone wrong? I used 32 ounces of low sodium chicken broth as the liquid. Thanks for any help you can provide!
Hi Jim! I am sorry this happened. Did you criss-cross the noodles and then layer the meat and sauce on top of the noodles? If you did, can you tell me the model IP you have.
Noodles should be laid across the top…not the bottom of pot
They need to be layered over the broth, but you need to put the tomato sauce on the top of the noodles, or that will result in a burn notice.
@@AMindFullMom if you are getting a burn notice, it’s obviously not working putting them on bottom. I made spaghetti and meatballs tonight with broth, meatballs, sauce mixed together and then laid noodles on top criss crossed and pushed them down so barely covered by the sauce. 8 mins, instant release. No problems. No burn notice. All videos with noodles that I’ve watched or recipes state to put noodles on top. It’s not a new thing. I usually watch Jeffrey from Pressureluckcooking.
Thank you for sharing what has worked for you. This recipe has never caused a burn notice for me.
for 32 oz of spaghetti just double the water to 8 oz is that right? and max number of oz spaghetti that I can do in instant pot?
I wouldn't do more than 16 ounces in a 6-quart. It releases too much starch, sticks together, and can become a bit of a mess if you try to cook more.
@@AMindFullMom How about for rotini? is it also 4 cups of water for 16 oz and 5 minutes? tahnks so much
@@okaythen001 for Rotini/Penne/Cavatappi: 4 minutes on high pressure, 5 minutes natural release. I would use 4 cups of water/broth with 28 ounces spaghetti sauce
Hi Kirsten... mmmmmm i like it ❣️❤️❣️❤️❣️❤️
So glad!
Every time I put the noodles in at the bottom of the pot. I get the burn notice!
Pour your liquid in first and then layer in the noodles.
How come you cant use thin or angelhair pasta?
Unfortunately, it will stick together.
Have you got yt made or something? when I ask about instant pot recipe videos all that really pops up is 2 sisters and I hate her. Love the way you do your videos and yours are more correct.
Well, I am so happy you are enjoying my recipes. I am a newer YT channel than the sisters channel, so that may be why my videos don't show up. Please subscribe and hit the bell to get notifications for new videos.
I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of Italians suddenly cried out in terror...
And by the way they’re delicious and nutritious in homemade broth doesn’t matter how other people eat them 😊
Looks good but I have never heard of putting beef broth in spaghetti sauce before.
When you cook pasta in the instant pot, you want to select a liquid that will flavor the sauce, as it is all cooked together. The beef broth flavors the sauce and the noodles perfectly. Chicken Broth works as well.
You don’t add seasoning in this video. I am assuming I can season the meat while sautéing with S&P and Italian seasonings?
Absolutely!
Pasta on bottom is risk for burn. Pasta on top
The stock is on the bottom, but adding the tomato sauce the bottom will for sure cause a burn warning.
wait.. it thickened after waiting a little bit.. didnt have to do nonthin' lid off.. yep. :)
Happy it all worked out as it should
The only downside about the instapot is that everything's sticks . I have the crock pot express and let me tell you, ita way better
Thanks, I tried your recipe and now I'm in a coma
Haha. Nothing wrong with a good food coma.
Substitute red lentils. They almost desolve

Absolutely!
@@AMindFullMom
Just double everything…? Also adding halved mushrooms and olives.
@@dnlonly If you want to double everything else, it will work if you have an 8 quart instant pot. It is harder to double using a 6-quart. I thought you just wanted to increase the beef
@@AMindFullMom thanks a bunch!! Can’t wait to use the I.P for the first time.
I love you
LOL! Happy my recipes have helped!
I never took the meat out
How did that work for you? Typically leaving the meat on the bottom will not allow the noodles to be fully submerged in the liquid.
@@AMindFullMom worked just fine!!
@@AMindFullMom that’s why you deglaze the bottom with a wooden spatula
@@kellyjones4803 Thanks for letting us know that!

No kind of seasoning 😕
It is made with seasoned sauce and garlic, but feel free to add in oregano or Italian seasoning as well.

Italians would put you in prison for life!
Oh my god instant pots are so blah blah etc etc, never understand these things like take making spaghetti 1st off its in the book that comes with some of these and 2nd think I'll stick to the two pan method as time over fine tuning the taste its not even a question really but at least I know what it looks like now kinda like a can of Heinz spaghetti, well I guess clean ups easy as well but that has to be a crime short pasta and 😱 cheese bleh.
Parmesan cheese, form a can, YUCK. Go buy a block of Parmesan Cheese and shred it on and you will never buy that canned stuff again!
I NEVER use parmesan from a can! I agree with you, freshly grated is the way to go
