I'll have to check that out as my OCD does wish the UltraViolet had the option for the Univibe bypass pre amp coloring/boost. I don't have either but this UltraViolet has really caught my attention.
@AM-sc2gy Deco before works well for dirtier vibe. Both ways are good, just different flavors of vibe. I actually prefer the Ultraviolet after the guitar in front of the amp input with the Deco in the post-preamp effects loop.
Going to get one today! Please do a stand alone formant pedal. The Mobius has the best formant sounds of any pedal out there. A small version with reverb would be awesome! Thanks for all the fun!
This is the first DSP UniVibe that imo sounds absolutely fantastic. I'm eager to track one down and give it a play through, I feel you gotta play a vibe in person to see if it has the "magic" as much as I dislike using words like that with gear. The more I watch this demonstration the more impressed I am, really want to get my hand on one of these!
Lordhammercy I gotta get another Strymon pedal. Already working with the Zelzah, Orbiter, Iridium and Riverside 😝🙅🏾♂️🕺🏾🕺🏾take my money please! My guy is the Heisenberg of pedal makers💯🤘🏾👊🏾🤣👏🏾👏🏾🔥🔥👍🏾✊🏾💪🏾👌🏾
Love the look and sounds, how does this differ from the Vibe on the Strymon Mobius, from listening I know I can recreate almost all these sounds on the Mobius 😊
@@strymon a wah pedal. The Strymon take on a wah pedals. There are a stack of parameters such as pot taper and value, different inductor tones, caps other than the stock 0.01uF, there are usually four pots in boutique wah pedals that alter the sound of a wah pedal. The Strymon bonus would be a way of not needing a pot with analog signal on it and eliminating the noise that is exhibited by analog wah pedals.
My ultraviolet seems very fast in chorus mode. I mean really fast, even at the lowest setting, is there a problem with my pedal? In fact, it's one speed, whether turned down or up full. Does this mean the pedal is faulty?
I use my Zelzah to get trem and vibrato sounds that I like more than actual trem and vibrato pedals. Same for chorus and flanger actually. I think it can get sort of univibe-adjacent in certain settings but the Ultraviolet is more of an authentic univibe sound.
Pete really understands his products. What a cool guy.
I will say u guys did a fantastic job on this pedal. UniVibe is a hard effect to get right in the digital domain
I think you could have the perfect setup with nothing but Strymon on a pedal board
I've just got into Strymon and....honestly you are completely right.
Honestly this guy is a genius in the literal sense
Woah, the low bias really does sound ultraviolet!! Bet it would sound like deep with the Zelzah!
Pete, please let the people hear this with the Deco Saturation!!! IMHO, it adds the Uni-Vibe Preamp TONE! Huge thanks to you and Strymon!

@troutstrat3134 Deco before or after Ultraviolet? Thanks!

I’m getting good vibes from this pedal! Sweet.
6min30sec into the video and already succumbed to the alluringly beautiful sounds..this pedal will be put on layby for me soon. My kinda vibe!

Is there a way to switch the LED to a rhythmic pulse, which could indicate the tempo visually prior to engaging the pedal?
This sounds awesome, as all your pedals do. Strymon fan-boi here!

I've been playing mine in different positions in my rig and I have to say, I still prefer it first in chain more or less like a traditional vibe.
Oh well looks like I’m gonna have to do some overtime 😫🤣🤣
Great demo 👌Gotta try this one…too! 🤘
Adds a depth of sound that's groovy

Can't have a vibe without a fuzz....we now know what's coming next! You rock Strymon 🤣
Totally sold!!!
bet everyone that bought a vibe pedal recently is kicking themselves, lol.
Love the look and sounds, how does this differ from the Vibe on the Strymon Mobius, from listening I know I can recreate almost all these sounds on the Mobius 😊
Please make a dedicated polyphonic octave.
This is great and all but what if uncle Larry was with Pete doing these videos?
😊
They both like beer, so that's an idea!
HOME RUN FOR STRYMON...AGAIN!
Awesome pedal
Only thing i wish this pedal had was a foot friendly knob for the speed but i get you're trying to keep things in a tight package.
I wonder what a wah pedal would be like from these guys?
It would have been good if there was a speed control, though it’s probably rarely used.
Speed control on a wah? Or on Ultraviolet? Not sure where to go on answering that one!

‘It’s just basic engineering Jesse’
We needed a new vibe? How about a Mobius V2?!
How does his fantastic pedal sound with a germanium fuzz face or silcon ?
Killer, actually! This track has a silicon FuuzFace-inspired pedal right in front of UV for the entire track: ruclips.net/video/1NEulKfucgw/видео.html
And this as well: ruclips.net/video/mu1QbvNOlmk/видео.html
Last one - the fuzz is on the entire time except for the solo. ruclips.net/video/FVRHNXSBL8k/видео.html
When using it in stereo, it normaly has to be after the drives. Anyone tried? Still sounding good?
Annoying how they show everything but how it sounds in stereo.

In fact, it's one speed, whether turned down or up full.
Does this mean the pedal is faulty?
Hey there! Please email support@strymon.net and we'd be happy to help troubleshoot this.
@@strymon have done as you ask. Pedal has been returned to supplier (GAK UK) who in turn are sending it to MusicPsych for repair.
Ah Inwould have begges for a wow and flutter on the dry setting
Ah that is the thing I look a lot for
Can I get any of these sounds out of my Zelzah?🤔
You can dial in somewhat similar sounds, but the tone and character of optical vibe is going to be pretty specific to UltraViolet.

@@pCeLobster Ok I understand.. And yes the Zelzah is a really great versatile powerhouse that can produce a lot of different sounds....
@@strymonI love my Zelzah btw and iridium and Orbiter and Riverside😝👍🏾And GREAT customer servive👏🏾👏🏾👌🏾💯

Does anybody else find the dry signal really ugly?
This ultraviolet uni vibe doesn't make me want to put my Fulltone deja vibes away thats for sure
