Wow! I have been using Strymon since near the beginning of the company. Touring buddies began to move into Strymon territory to gain diversity, reliability, and undeniable quality with each pedal. No more electrical issues or temperature - and yes - I would A-B comparison Strymon with vintage gear. Strymon always offered universes of sound I could never have imagined before hand. I went through a period of grief as I knew my analogue fixation had come to an end. I humbly began to re-educate and explore with Strymon excellence at my fingertips. All in all, a jaw dropping pedal. Thank you to team Strymon. You give hope, curiosity, and devotion, a good place to live.

A fantastic pitch for this new pedal. Knowledgeable, well-versed, and well presented. I really enjoyed the quality of this presentation. I’ve been strongly considering a 1968 which is a brilliant vibe pedal, but now I don’t know if I can justify paying double the price of the Ultraviolet. Now where’s my wallet…

glad to see this as I felt the uni-vibe algorithim on the mobius was the weakest one.

Great video! Where does Strymon recommend placing this in the signal chain? My current vibe works best after drive pedals, but before modulation. I know it’s subjective, but I’m looking to upgrade and am curious how flexible the pedal is in that regard. Thanks!
It works just fine before or after distortion, it just depends on what kind of tones you want to go for! You can definitely experiment with using it before overdrives for a more old-school tone.

Will this be a fuzz friendly vibe or is there a buffer that will spaz a germanium fuzz out if before??
Hey there - a lot of the sounds you'll hear from Sean on this launch have a FuzzFace style fuzz right in front, so it works great.
There is also a double dip that copies dont usually have
Why not a 0-100% wet mix knob instead of the 3-position toggle?
There is more going on under the hood than just the mix on each of those settings - other stuff is happening to shape the response that would be hard to achieve with just a pot. Hope that helps!
