@@rstlr01 You’re very welcome! I teach the bare bones mechanics of this guard pass because it’s movements are fundamental to many guard passes. And, with focused and disciplined practice or can be performed on any guard ☺️
@@RoyHarris Master Harris, I am a police officer that has been training BJJ for a little over a year now. I am starting a podcast and would absolutely love to hear about your journey and interview you so my fellow officers and the general public can learn more about this martial art. Please let me know if that interests you.
Professor Harris effectively used a version of this pass on Jean Jacque Machado in 1998 in an epic match! Let that sink in for a minute. Also in that match, possibly the best armbar escape I have ever seen. Professor, are there any plans to add an escapes course to your online content? I would buy that in a heartbeat.
This is invisible Jujitsu. From watching it you would never know the pressure being exerted on your opponent . Professor Harris is a true wealth of Jujitsu knowledge. I wish l could train with him! Thank you for sharing with the grappling community !
@@Ricocase Yes, this guard passing method works on all guards. The only guards I haven’t used it on is the donkey guard - but, I haven’t encountered a high-level practitioner who uses the donkey, guard, efficiently ☺️
@@rethinkyourself1 This particular guard pass presents itself more often than any other pass. I’ve had people from around the world tell me it doesn’t work. And, I’ve had many travel to San Diego to see if I could do it on then. And, I’m happy to report I’ve used it on everyone - irrespective of the guard they chose to use ☺️
Everything Mr. Harris shows is gold. Some of the most efficient Jiu-jitsu I've ever seen.
This dude knows how to teach and is very respectful to his training partner.
This style of passing feels so natural to me I really appreciate the small details you provide!

Roy Harris, have a seminar and daily training at Gunpo Bon Jiu-Jitsu in Korea.
I’d love to be invited there to do just that!!!
Does this still work if guys grab your gi like a pulley system?
Perhaps maybe there is a chance for this to work at times when it is the right time for that to not work!
