    Just what I'm working on right now, trying to feel more confident with these. Not sure if you've covered this in other vids, but I would love to hear more about quickly gauging the distance between yourself and the car in the lane you're trying to enter - sometimes I'm not sure if they're too close to make a smooth/safe lane change. Esp since there's a discrepancy between how close they are in reality and how close they appear in the side mirror.

    • @DriversEdDirect
      @DriversEdDirect  Месяц назад +1

      Hello, thanks for sharing that! There are some tricks you can use, but a lot of it depends on how fast the cars behind you are moving in relation to yourself. If the the car is getting larger in your mirrors quickly, then it is getting closer to you and it's best to just wait. But we will incorporate some more of this concept into our next lane change video for sure. Thanks for the support!

      @@DriversEdDirect Thank you! Just wanted to add, I also get in situations where the car seems to be keeping its speed or maybe slowing down *just a little* and it's difficult to know if they're letting me over or just ignoring me haha. Often the full vehicle is visible in my side mirror, but none of it is in my blind spot when I check over the shoulder. I have safely merged in this situation a couple times, but once the other person in the car said it was a little close. Maybe you can touch on similar situations in future videos. Thx again!

      @DriversEdDirect  Месяц назад +2

      @@Maya-xoxoxo Yes, all excellent notes! These lane changes can be very tricky at times - as you're finding out, no two situations are ever exactly the same. We'll get some more examples like this in one of our future videos for sure, thank you for your thoughtful feedback!

    How to recover from park too far from curb

    • @DriversEdDirect
      @DriversEdDirect  2 дня назад

      Hello, thanks for sharing that idea, we will add that to the list of video ideas for the future!. If you are too far from the curb, don't panic - it is easily correctable if you just make some back and forth adjustments, getting a bit closer to the curb each time. Just go VERY slowly and you'll do it without hitting the curb or other cars. Check out this video that touches on the subject for a little bit: ruclips.net/video/QHHwbOG3W_c/видео.html
