That marinade and meat looked incredible. Mesquite lump charcoal is preferred for carne asada, faijitas, and pollo asado. That extra flavor from the mesquite takes it to that next level.
Always loved spreading my tacos with some room temperature lard before grilling and to finish carne asada I highly recommend red onion soaked in lime juice and salt.
I ❤️ AB! His videos make me so happy, anytime I'm thinking "what should I put on the table tonight", I go straight to this channel! What a beautiful soul and a blessing from God. Thanks again for another banger! 🎉
Good job, i do salsa verde on my tacos instead of pico de gallo cause i like the heat, and prefer a serrano based salsa instead of jalapeño based (serranos are a little spicier and i just like the flavor a lot better than jalapeño)
Just bought a new charcoal grill after not having one for a long time. I’ve grilled on the bbq before but I’m trying to be more detailed I guess. What temperature do you normally warm up your grill too? And about how long per side do you cook that asada?
Now you need to make some homemade corn tortillas to go with those tacos. So much better than the ones at the store. The meat looks great. Carna Asada tacos are my favorite taco by far.
7:42 AB, you make some great food. Glad I stumbled upon your channel. One thing I cutting the skirt steak. Should be against the grain so it’s tender. I just always saw it done like that and have tried it before. Anyways. LOVE your recipes and will try them.
I make my tacos just like this minus the brown sugar also I use chipotle powder instead of ancho chili powder but I added both powders tonight and I like how the meat tasted.
The recipe, prep, and cook is on point. Only thing I would've done differently is gone with a salsa verde instead of pico; its just my thing. But a killer recipe nonetheless, thanks for posting.
We forgot the homemade green or red salsa OG And we forgot the cold Beers also ,,,it's all looking good tho,, Ain't Nothing But A G Thang,,, Stay Blessed OG,
Im going to try this my mom makes it with pork roast, pork belly, an orange, sweet milk, Mexican Coca cola and other seasoning , it's delicious but this looks a lot easier
You shouldn’t marinate beef in lime juice overnight because the acid will cook the meat. Notice when he lays the flank on the grill it looks partially cooked.

good idea! i feel like lime zest will get the best result anyways
Literally every carne soda recipe calls for an overnight marinade that includes lime juice
