Tim was a broken-hearted skateboarder, Daisy a directionless, wannabe journalist. Fate kicked them onto the streets to meet for the first time in a greasy spoon.

Spaced is one of the all time classic comedies - so cleverly crafted.
More please!! Amazing show.
loveeeee
Could you add the homage o' meter like the dvd boxset had?
Seen it umpteen times and have the special edition boxed set on DVD..In my top 3 fave sit coms.
One of the best openings to any show.
“5 years, 5 years”
“ I was drunk”.
It instantly hooked me.
just like my 1st serious relationship. we were actually drunk most of the time (at night ofc lol) 4 years lasted
I check back every so often just to hear those first few lines.
Makes no sense how y'all are interpreting that joke since they were actually having two different conversations.
"I thought you were a drug dealer...."
"Ahh thanks"
Spaced is one of the all time classic comedies, so cleverly crafted.
wish we could get a Series 3
Shame this is all we got
6:03 in just stumbled across this gold!!! I cried at Lion King. In a theater in the back row by myself while my bro and sis sat with my mom. And I was in a argument with my dad. Who is still alive by the way. Disagree with him and love him. I would start a channel but the world can’t handle me. Bk I speak my mind.
As good as The Office...less recognition....shame.
@@captainswing4487 Gervais is actually in one of the episodes
I love when Marsha says.... Halloooooooooooooow!
Hallow Brian~
I watched this show ten years after it came out. I was fresh off a suicide attempt living at home with my folks and it was therapy for me. Love it.
Lol.
@@Deletirium Weirdo
made you feel normal? like there are people out there not like everyone else? these are my people?
I hope you're on the right track again! I Love Simon Pegg, he's one oft my fav actors!
So much nostalgia. Starting your life with a room mate. Such a cosy and peaceful apartment. They look so comfortable together its gives me that spindly chills.
summer of 2000, getting high asf and chillin with spaced....such vibrant times
ohh momma, that's the good shit
yup, and as a 31 year old i miss my childhood
@@sidmicheals9739 only a couple of years ahead of you, but I feel ya!
@@sidmicheals9739 - you were smoking weed and watching Spaced at 10 years old?
If you need to get high to enjoy life to the fullest you're doing something wrong.
'So do you like my comic?'
'Yeah... yeah-- oh that reminds me actually, I was talking to Marsha about the rubbish--'
Fucking love the dialogue in this
Savage lol
The zombie episode is what created Shaun of the dead and eventually the almighty Cornetto trilogy.
Eventually also created paul cause paul was conceived because of shaun if the dead
There was also a scene where Tim was wearing a Dawn of the Dead shirt. I don’t think that contributed directly to Shaun of the Dead lmao just a funny coincidence.
The alternate noises of them crying is funny as fuck
Lol Daisy's response "heh OK.." to the anniversaries comment is so good
Best sitcom ever! A subtle blend of lateral thinking and extreme violence :P
i just hope it doesn't make you want to drown anything
Please give an example of the lateral thinking.
What, like "It's A Knock Out"?
@@BenVaserlanit's a reference to one of the scenes
@@BenVaserlan Resident Evil on PS1.
Best sitcom ever made. I was 11 when it was made but it makes me long for living in a flat share, smoking weed, listening to indie friends during the late 90s and early 00s.
life seemed so innocent back then!!
That scooby doo gag made me laugh way too much
22:33 Daisy's non-commital shrug at always kills me
Brilliant cast! Not sure how I missed watching Spaced when it was first aired. Frost and Pegg are such gorgeous human beings.
Dunno if they're gorgeous but they're fucking hilarious!
@@stevenicol1 they are gorgeous shut up 😂😍
My excuse was that it was on a Friday and I was probably getting spaced at the time.
@@jamesbowen5353 My flatmate would tape Frasier, and this was right after that so it was recorded as well. Amazing!!
I think calling someone Pickle is the epitome of adorable; I love how it was used again in Shaun of the Dead ♥
So glad I finally watched this Show during the Summer. Pure Comedy Gold.
Such a relatable show. Wish i could go back and watch it for the first time again.
I`d forgot how brilliant and funny this series was :)
One of the best shows ever written. Way ahead of its time. Still waiting for that third season Simon..
When will Pegg provide
Its never going to happen. Sad but true.
I'd argue one os the best directed shows ever. The story itself isn't that novel but the style of directing was back then. Edgar Wright is a visual comedy genius.
Probably for the best there isn’t one.
Guys I just watched "Skip to the end" a really good Doc. about the series and at least Simon give us something(little).
I really love this show❤️
The way Daisy takes off her apron to push her glasses down and reveal she's actually Velma and Tim is Shaggy is just genius
I remember being 12 and watching this on Friday nights when it first aired. I looked at Tim and thought “that’s how I’m gonna be when I grow up”. I couldn’t wait 😂
I love that it seemed like tim wanted brian to say he’s gay Just Because It Would Be Interesting lol his smile and shrug at the ambiguous answer always makes me laugh.
Used to love watching spaced and south park on 4 on Friday nights #nostalgia
Happy 20th Birthday, SPACED!!
...So you had sex, before you kissed? I love that line lol
@@thomasbland5450 '...yeah.'
Dangle the carrot of possible reconciliation 😄 🤣 just watching again after years...hahaha eeee I used to love this.
Hahaha
Oh wow so this is how it all started. It's hard to believe the director of Baby Driver came from this! Brilliant show!
This isn't how it started!
One of the absolute TOP of any series I have ever seen, comedy or no.
Pure GOLD! So much so that I bought the box set.
Simon pegg and nick frost are geniuses
The cying scene, the lips stuck to the gums, scooby doo and telepathy scenes - genius!
Daphne and Fred? More like Velma and Shaggy! XD
Remember when dramas, sitcoms and TV series used to grab your attention and keep you glued throughout without skipping to "5 years earlier"? Yeah me too.
Love this show.
The first episode is comedy magic.
I am all about quirky British humour and this hits all the boxes.
There are three moments I love that I could tell this show is for me.:
Tim and Jessica getting to know each other. She breaks into ridiculous sobbing. The line 'psychic househunters' gets me every time. The Tim starts bawling like a goose.
Them during the flat interview headbutting each other is the cutest thing in the world.
Finally I loved Brian and his goofiness.
What is the deal you and Marsha?
You know about the deal?!?!??
Best tv show of my youth.
this serie is soo perfect..
Just binged this series, I miss them already 😓
This show can be rewatched forever. And ever. And ever)))
Such an incredible series. Nothing keeps me hooked as much as the shows from this era.
Spaced was so clever, I miss the 90’s/2000
most underrated sitcom ever!! absolutely love it
@@OlafProt so basically everyone under 70 - unlike you 🤣
Just noticed that Edgar Wright is one of Frost's Squat mates, passed out as she bids them farewell.
25 years ago!!! Still one of my all time faves
So much attention to detail and love shown in the making of this show 😍
I love this show so much. Havent watched in a decade or so, got mentioned in a youtube video, and that lead me here, and now I'm hooking up the dvd player to watch the rest. Seriously the only thing that ages it is the tapes and the phones. Everything else it could be today
Ahhh, wish it was still the 90's.
Awesome no adds! Remember when channel four was all about edgy comedy and new ideas?
Tbf this isn't that edgy, but full of brilliant ideas I agree. For edgy and ch4, see JAM
Lol looking for accommodation in LOOT , that brings back memories...how times have changed.
7:34 just realised that hot fuzz referenced this 🤣🤣
Love this show! Though £90 a week for a two bed flat in Tufnell Park, is the biggest joke of all! Even 20 years ago it wasn’t that affordable 😂😂 also can anyone tell me the name of the music from 19:55 onwards?
Just read Nick Frosts book (would highly recommend)...now time for some spaced.
“Is it serious?”
“Tune Aragundade?”
“Bladdy hell”
Daphne and shaggy scene..brilliant
its great that youtube have this gem
The cafe at the very beginning of the show is Diners Delight in Teddington. It doubles up as a Turkish restaurant in the evenings. I do wonder why they ended up closing a place far away from all their locations though.
£90/week!? That sounds ludicrous even for twenty years ago!
Dave F I believe Simon Pegg did once say that the funniest joke in the show was the fact they could get a flat in Tufnell Park for £90
That’s a fucking good wage, no?
@@sternchild LOOOOOL 🤣
U mean cheap
Nitey-bucks a week? 😮
I ain't long finished this show its so good
wonderful. especially like 18.10 + when Brian defines his art.
Spaced put the "ACE" in "spACEd". Genius tv series 👏 👌 👍
this one season is much funnier that all of the friends ever made
So I watched all this when it came out and I can't believe how fresh it still is - still really fucking funny lol
This is way ahead of its time!
Ello I'm marsha ...such an amazing actress.
short but amazing show 😂 hilarious
i rememeber getting stoned with my mates and watching this pissing ourselfs laughing.
brillaint serise. i even have the remasterd set SE1-SE2.
13:12 if you don’t like that, that’s too baad 😂
Back when cigarettes were affordable
Bring back the ten deck 😂
If only they had done 1 more season, even a one off episode.
Did you see the one scene they filmed where they are living together with a baby years later? Very sweet lol
It's here: ruclips.net/video/XnCp3bMbjFo/видео.html
We need this on blu-ray
Channel 4 is so underrated as a broadcaster! My personal favourites are The Inbetweeners, IT Crowd, The Bake Off, End of The Fucking World, Travel Man, Undateables and F1! They’re quality 💪🏻
PianoTunez Friday Night Dinner? Arguably the best British comedy since The Inbetweeners.
Do glad I found this series way after Shean of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and Paul (J.K At Worlds End bit I still kinda enjoyes Paul) X3
Daisy's yearbook photo is hilarious (7:15)
Pure F'ing Gold.
I used to get so trashed whilst watching this with my mates. I know I've seen all of them but can't remember many.
Brilliant show.
The Scooby Doo Fred & Daphne convo, then the Shaggy & Velma outfit reveal! Missed it first time round…
the most amazing part of this episode is that the flat is only 90 quid a week.
highly recommend Top Buzzer if you guys run out of Spaced to watch :)
Top Buzzer was superb. I have it on DVD
It's shame that this show is cancelled so soon. Well at least Simon ,Nick and director of this show Edgar Wright become so successful.
I cried at the end of Terminator two too hahaha
Stumbled onto this it's great! 😊😅❤
Best thing the year 2000 produced
I miss this so much
"Anyway, there was this guy, ERR, and, eh....I don't really know....well, I suppose....No. Really, what happened was.....No. The thing is, rather confront, I thought ... RRRHH"
11:45 is that....Edgar Wright hahah
HAPPY 20th ANNIVERSARY!!!!
It's good better than good 👍
Almost a perfect show
‘Do you rent downstairs?’
Great opener, I haven't heard Fatboy's, weekend starts here for an age, damn good times.
Spaced it was so of its time for 20 smthings flat shares. Had lived this life 10yrs earlier so absolutely loved it when it came out. Think I've got 2 series on DVD smwhere. How many series were there? 3?
Just the Two.
£90 a week? In London?
This show really was set in a different era.
I forgot Simon Pegg did acting beyond the cornetto series
he wrote Spaced. so it's more than acting, it's realising and launching his own career and succeeding. the Cornetto trilogy is part of his ever growing repertoire. if he wasn't so attractive he may never been cast in some of his least interesting acting roles ( all in films he hasn't written). Hoping upon hope him and Nick Frost write and star in more films together.
But everyone forgets about Asylum!
ruclips.net/video/WhzHQfSkg0w/видео.html
@@teamcrumb he co-wrote Spaced with Jessica Hynes
@@jellyandme I had no idea this existed! Thank you. Anything with Simon Pegg and Jessica Hynes (Stevenson) is worth watching.
@@catherinerobilliard7662 it's crazy isn't it? You would have thought it would have been released on netflix of something by now.
'so you had sex before you kissed?' hahahaha
15:17 This cracks me up!
when flat hunting meant buying a paper and not staring at your phone
Where is that cafe located? Looks familiar. I think I went there early 90s once. Highgate or Hampstead ish area.
Hello Brian!, shalom marsha
I'd watch this but I think I'll skip to the end.
i only remember this show because of @21:13 and the accompanying interrogation.
