It's not the same thing. Pretty sure the handling isnt the same to a point it's not even the same game engine. Was a very common thing back then, different studios for different consoles of same game. The pc version was pretty much a Sim, same engine as GTR2 and rfactor

This game had gorgeous graphic for its time, especially the heat haze reflections. Also it's one of the fastest F1 game on PS2 because the sense of speed is simply insane at times.

Codemasters should do this. seasons compiled into one game from old to date (like F1 Career 2010-2020?) so career mode progression will make more sense.

1:51 BAR used Supertec (ex-Renault) engines in '99, not Honda. (Then again, in F1 Challenge 99-02, the game this one derives heavily for, both BAR '99 drivers have Honda logos in their helmets.)

This looks absolutely amazing! I remember trying to run this in an emulator but struggled heavily with super delayed controls. I think im general this game can be quite difficult in its own way because I also remember constantly qualifying last haha. Might give it another shot though.

Have tried playing this game on my Xbox Series S using XBSX2. The trees and stands are all garbled. I can't find a setting to get rid of the issue. I am also struggling with the controls. Assigning square and cross to the triggers is okay, but don't have an analogue feel, ie they are still either on or off. The controller also feels very laggy. Any advice would be most appreciated :)

More than 15 years later and I still remember turning ABS off for the first time and not under standing why the car would not turn when I was braking hard and turning. Seems so obvious now but when I was 10 years old I didnt know you could lock up the tires haha
