I live in N. Canton, Ohio and worry about the weather. I'm 75 y.o. and depend on your forecasts to plan my day, and personal safety. Thanks for caring for us, and trying to keep us all from harm's way! 😊
Agreed, our temperature in Grand Rapids, Michigan is going to get to 92 degrees ambient. Right now, we can fry an egg on the sidewalk at 1:30pm. Thank God in Heaven for my AC unit in my apartment.
Tuesday blessings to Max and everyone watching. Thank you always keeping us updated with the upcoming weather. We're praying for everyone in the path of these storms.
The Mn State Fair has delayed their opening this morning. I’ve been going to the fair steadily for over 25 yyrs, been through lots of storms there, dont remember it closing
I live in Minneapolis and there is tree damage everywhere and many without power. Yesterday’s storm and a much worse storm this morning at 5:30 am. It’s a mess here. 😢
Thank you so much for being the voice of warning while we are taking our journey on this Earth . May God bless everyone and may your journey be blessed
I appreciate you Max Velocity. Thank you for covering the Northern Ohio Valley/Northern Indiana. You have helped me to be safe/informed about weather conditions. Thank you so much!
I live north of the twin cities and got around 65-70 mph wind gusts, a pot was thrown onto the ground the first minutes of the storm, I watched around 1/2 of the live stream... I woke up at 5:50 to that second batch of storms, weaker than the first batch of storms.
What has prevented all the tropical development this summer? Not even a couple months back most of the meteorologists were preparing us for doom. I know it's not too late for things to change but we're on track for a normal to below normal Atlantic season.
Marylander here! Many hurricanes happen in late August and early September . The great Galveston Hurricane happened in September 1900 ! It killed over 6,000 people! Read the excellent book Isaac's Storm by Erik Larson ! All his books are excellent. Katrina happened in late August as I recall!
Here in Toledo, we really have seemed to have missed most of the bad weather this year. Everything either has dissipated over us or forms just past us. Hopefully keeps that way this week
Northern Illinois here - 8/27/24 at about 6PM cst. Just had the strangest storm cell go through. No wind, a ton of rain, no lighting, but a TON of thunder.. The storm had sounded like a freight train overhead(No tornado). It was non-stop thunder for almost an hour. I've been through many storms, and I've never seen anything like that.
this year, (forget the date), i was in the strangest storm in my life too, nonstop thunder, barely any lightning, no wind, and a lotta rain. not as weird as your storm, but in my case it was thunder every like, 3 seconds
@@magic_cattt Yeah, it was like a constant rumble with the occasional deeper rumble. Was very strange. No lightning that I could see. Very little wind, no tornado, etc..
Visiting the UP is on my bucket list! I really want to try a Yooper pastie! That’s not the only reason of course..it looks so beautiful there plus I fell in love with the UP when I read all the books by an author that lives there. His name is Steve Hamilton.
@@sandyaw3057 My dad was a Yooper. I spent some time there as a kid. I make killer pasties. We even went to Cornwall and had real Cornish pasties. They area my dad grew up in also had a big Italian population, so we have a lot of Italian cooking in our tradition. My mom makes great homemade ravioli. I don't know Steve Hamilton's writing, but I am always looking for new books. I will check him out.
We got wrecked last night. trees down all over the city streets power out since 9pmish hopefully they get the power on before too long I'm sick of being wet and not having the ability to shower is annoying
I’m so done with this hot weather!! It’s going to be 90 with a heat index of 95. I don’t want more H next week! 😭 Maybe a tornado tomorrow? Oh well…c’est la vie! Thanks for the update Max!
The tropics were surprising because we're in conditions that we should expect no development. This shows us that 2024 will be the wildest hurricane season in decades.
South of 80 probably won't see anything. West of DeKalb might have stronger storms, but east of DeKalb should be normal summertime stuff. By the Wisconsin border should remain more aware (eg, McHenry County), but even then, it doesn't look bad. Looks like the worst of it will be off to the north today
It hit it didn’t effect where I lived as munch but I heard that in some places in Macomb county trees fell down it’s still raining right now there’s been a lot of rain but in my area there was also no hail so I guess it’s better

“Flying fences Friday” I had to play that back twice and needed a good laugh. Thank you.
Max does have some funny side comments, like Flying Trampolines, and others in his forecast. He is spectacular.
Thanx for all you do Max. I've been with you since you were

Traveling to the northeast. Watching this while I’m on the plane ✈️✈️✈️
Very cozy weather in MN. Saw my windshield get destroyed from my window 😊☕️
Max was right the slight risk was put down farther in Illinois and a small 2% tornado risk
Dang
Felt so bad sending my 12 year old to the bus this morning 😢 it got nasty for a minute. We are in central Michigan

Maybe the goods guys are gaining control?
Saharan dust prevented development for a few weeks but looks like things are going to ramp up.

I think it would be cool if you segmented off regions, and states in the description so people can pinpoint when the weather will affect them.

We broke a record high that stood since 1960-something in northern IL
