hi Nihal , Good Work , Just 1 correction around 14:35 you say 2 to 6 m for dredger or under water operation , thats not correct , as per the annex its not less than 2m and maximum practical distance , no mention of 6m there.
CORRECTION
Section 4 B: shall be placed at the maximum practical horizontal distance, but in no case less than 2 metres.

Hey nikhil really nice work.... but pls make some corrections... eg in VLCC say 330 mtrs.... horizontal spacing between lights are more than 100 mtrs...
as in rules its saying need not be... so its just like 100 mrts se zada jarurat nhi but agar ho to its ok
But the rule says: need not be more than 100 metres
What u said is absolutely correct. Nobody understands this point 😅
In horizontal sectore of lights ..part a( i ) side light intensity is talking about for only forward prescribed sector ...noy abaft beam..
Yes Vishal agreed.
Will try and add this correction in the description.
Thanks for your keen observation.
Well appreciated👍
@@NihalGupta Vertical sector intensity is to be maintained b/w 5deg above and below and 60% b/w 7.5deg above and below . these sectors are the inner angle ie,, Min. required intensity is maintained for 10 degrees and so on ...

Sir question asked from me in oral
Why the masthead light is 225° , why not more ??
I gave the definition but he said again why ? 225 degree
Why not more ..
Answer lies in Rule 13 (Overtaking) as it will conflict with the lights for crossing.

The horizontal distance need to not be more than 100m.... So it can place if required
Ie VLCC 300m L ....... The fwd mast is place more than 100m
5:38 arc of visibility of mast head light is 225 deg not 135

i think 10 a state between 5 degree above to 5 degree below horizon it should have minimum required intensity and up to 7.5 degree above and below it should be 60% , u have explained it above the 5degree from horizontal and below the 5 degree from horizontal not in between... pls check. by the way Thanks for taking such initiative for explaining these rules.
