    *Reminder that this video was filmed before COVID-19 - we are not travelling at this time* 👉 Have you ever been to a Turkish bath? Did you enjoy it? If you haven't been, does it sound like something you'd like to try?

    • @EileenAldis
      @EileenAldis  4 года назад

      @MrRokkafella Hello! I really appreciate you sharing that because we definitely want to try other baths! We loved this one and it was cool that we could go together the first time but now we want to try them ALL haha. 🙌 The one you recommend sounds awesome. How often would you say you visit a bath?

    • @EileenAldis

      @MrRokkafella Having access to a Turkish bath any time sounds pretty fantastic to me haha. Once a month would be wonderful. I felt the same way in Budapest where the bath culture is also incredible (but different, of course) :)

Your enthusiasm still comess through, and once again, I'm completely convinced that I need to go to a hamman, too! After missing you guys from a month we almost didn't see this notice, but glad we finally did today. And yes, it would have been fun to film the inside of the bath, but wow, over 450 years old Turkish bath! Impressive. My Kim says she loves your shorter hair style:)
    When we lived in Denmark sauna life was pretty common but mostly due to the generally colder climate. I'm guessing Canada is the similar? But from the window view behind you two it looks beautiful.

    Nice video with nice people, so thank you again. I guess there is better Hamam's with same price or cheaper but what you get is better. I couldn't understand why they didn't allow you to record at the inside of bath if there was nobody. Usually they allows! And there is multiple Hamam's, new or historical doesn't matter but has options for; together, seperate, couples or groups (we have a wedding tradition such as going to hamam at the day of henna). Looking forward to see more videos of you guys traveling around the world, but especially the Istanbul :) Thank you both!

    Eileen described the exfoliating section as it have to be :)
    If you can able to go there again just try Soda-Ayran mixed. (When we say soda we mean mineral water in Turkey :D) You may not love the taste in the first time but after bath it's very refreshing beverage.
    Usually when we went hamam we wet the marble with the cold water before we lay down. The marble's hotness come from the hot water beneath the marble :)
    After bath you should spend at least half an hour in the hamam so your body can set your temperature down to protect you to get cold :)
    After bath you'll aware that you sweat more than anytime because the peeling opened all of your pores and your skin is breathing :)
    P.s: I'm not sure if i'm clear but hope you can get another wonderful experience around Turkey :)

    We didn’t dare to experience the Suleimaniye hammam because it is a mixed one and didn’t know what to expect; my wife was hesitant especially. We would be interested for the historical part though. Thanks for sharing and thank you to the Turkish audience for their suggestions. Teşekkürler arkadaşlar🙏🏼

    Hi guys, nice to hear you like the Turkish bath. We Turks don't go these kinds of baths regularly. It's just good to go there occasionally to relax and sweat out to relieve the microbes under the skin and open the tiny holes on the skin. Btw who can do this regularly, right? :)
    Lastly, you could have shown us some pictures while expressing your experience. Suppose you weren't able to take photos inside but you could have found some pictures of Turkish baths in the net. Alışmak istiyorsanız bir an önce tüm vücudunuza ılık su dökmeniz gerekiyor. Kesinlikle her aşaması sağlık kokar. Çıkınca zencefilli gazoz içerseniz kültürümüzü tam yaşamış olursunuz. Sevgiler.

    I just had the opportunity to watch your video from three years ago. I liked it. Especially in your videos, you give information about historical places as if you were a professional tourist guide. This is very nice, I am happy for my country. Also, cute couples, after bathing, you are both as red as lobsters.🤭😂🤣 You will not bathe again for years. Bathroom warranty will last you 10 years.😀😂😅😆🤣With love from Türkiye.❤️🇹🇷
    And also please don't forget and always use the official name of Türkiye is Türkiye, not Turkey.
