Linda, I rarely comment, but I have to tell you that I caught myself smiling from ear to ear while watching this! Just beautiful! Thank you for sharing!❤
Hello Linda, I just love when you share beautiful New England, towns and villages. These little "field trips" are so enjoyable! Thank you for taking us along. Take care, and be well.
I am a retired nurse, in the 90s I worked at a rural hospital in Maine. I went on a 12 week contract job and they kept offering me extensions. After 6 months I was ready to go home. I cannot forget the peace and beauty I experienced while I was there. The smell of the ocean and piers will always be in my memory, as well as the beautiful homes. Thank you for this wonderful video.
Thank you for giving my eyes and heart the memory of my late husband and I visiting there. I yearn to go back, but I fear being alone and reminiscing will not allow me to enjoy as we did. I too fix pillows and other items everywhere I go. What a lovely time you had.
Hi Linda, I´m from Costa Rica, I have visited New England about eight times, and every time I've gone, I fall more and more in love, I feel something really special ♥
How lovely. A drive like this makes me fantasize that nothing bad could happen here. Residents are sustained & content to love each other and are fulfilled as they care for their family, pet(s), home & garden...my mind loves this calm scenario
I just realized while I was watching that I too am a New Englander at heart. Linda, you inspire me and remind me what a legacy our Founding Fathers left us. I'm looking forward to seeing how your home evolves.
I absolutely love your channel, Linda! I follow several RUclipsrs, but I’m realizing I’ll never enjoy watching anyone quite as much as I enjoy you! Thanks for doing what you do to inspire so many ❤
Thank You so much. So beautiful. Please do more of these. I love the ocean & I love history & the north east. I just love the old homes. Totally enjoyed this.
Dear Linda, I cannot expound more than what others have already stated, I am so thoroughly delighted with this vlog. Thank you for sharing your mini vacation and family tree. Hugs💞
Beautiful video and well documented. So happy for you, It looks to me that you found a keeper who treats you like a queen, and appreciates the beautiful person you are. 🥰 Happy for you.💕 I always liked the cape cod for their sweet little cape houses with the Pickett fences. I lived in a very tiny house growing up that my mom made so homey and cozy. I think of those years often and it makes my heart happy. 💞 It is so true what you say, that you can make any place you live beautiful no matter how small or grand your home is. Love what you do and your grateful heart, for the simple pleasures in life. 🌺
I know I’m a New Englander! I get so excited when you take us out & about. I love sees no the old homes and the beautiful gardens. This get away was lots of fun even vicariously. I only wish you could post more often. I learn so much from you and you’ve buoyed my spirits greatly throughout this pandemic. Thank you so very much.
I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed your visit to the Cape. I miss Massachusetts so. We’re now living in North Carolina, while we’re coastal here, the Cape vibe was calling me home just now. I was captivated by your 10th great grandfather’s connection to the settling of Chatham as I learned not long ago through the blessing of a gift of my Mom’s family tree from a cousin I never knew, that my 8th great grandfather Zacharie Cloutier settled Quebec. When I googled him I was shocked to find how many well know people I’m related to through him. Your interest in ancestry is inspiring and I have also become fascinated now. Also, when you opened the book that was sent to you and you mentioned Jaffrey, I smiled as that’s where all my Mom’s family lived and still live. Once again, thank you for a few minutes of: yes, you can go home again.❣️
Linda Pearl. I live in the Province of Quebec. Do you know that there is a sheep milk cheese named after him? Le Zacharie Cloutier produced by La Fromagerie Nouvelle France. I haven't tasted it yet.
@@suziechampagne357 yes that was such a fun fact to discover. It was amazing to read about him, I felt like I was on an episode of Finding Your Roots.❣️
I so enjoyed this video.....l live in NC and we have beautiful coastal areas. But the beautiful homes and grounds there are almost too pretty to be true.....antique homes so pretty they look brand new. Heavenly.
Ok....I could watch videos like this ALL day long. Good thing you don't record them (or not) more often. I find my backside glued to the couch watching these videos of yours when I'm supposed to be doing housework. If I have dust bunnies, I'm blaming you!😂 I too loved the window boxes and flower beds and then at the Inn that amazing furniture, particularly that huge round table at the foot of the staircase and on and on. I'm sure it would be easier (and shorter) to say I didn't see anything I didn't love. I know people have mentioned this to you before, Linda, but you have the most wonderful voice for narrating stories. I find myself having to turn off videos where the narrator's sentences end on a high note - I mean every sentence. Thank you for the wonderful job you do, and for sharing everything with us. Lucky you and Ben.
Judy, I agree with you…when I see that Linda has put out a new video, I forget all about the housework that needs to be done! Her house renovations and travel adventures are so inspiring!
I'm fascinated by what you said about distant New Englanders finding their way back home. My dad's family settled the town of Rehoboth, Mass in 1640s. I've lived in Southern CA my entire life, I've hardly left California but since I was a child I've felt my place was in New England. There's always been a "pull" for me. It's where I've always said I want to live. When I watch your videos, I see everything I've pictured in my head since childhood of how I thought my life would be. "Someday" I'll make it my home. Thank you for theses videos. I feel so peaceful when I watch.
Thank you for taking us along with you! I live in No. California now, and there is nothing like New England. I look forward to seeing all your New England decor....right down to the dishes!
Chatham is one of my favorite places. We probably had one of the best vacations ever. Our house sign was made by the Chatham Sign Shop. Thank you for sharing it made me yearn to go back.
So very true that New England calls to her children. My parents grew up in NH and I have many fond memories of visits back to see my grandparents. Although I live in the Mid-Atlantic, I have a very strong ancestral connection to New England. Loved this trip and your channel. ❤️
'If you feel like a New Englander, you probably are' Love this Linda. Nova Scotian here; My grandparents left Nova Scotia just after WWI so about 1919 and lived in New England, my dad was born in Boston area in 1940. My grandmother was a Nickerson! That makes me 1/2 New Englander right ? :) I'm in love with New England and its history, architecture, antiques and historical gardens. Even as a young adult, Colonial decor has always spoken to my heart! The history of Nova Scotia, especially the South Shore and Western Shore are strongly connected to New England (Planters and fishers) and my hometown area still has a heavy accent (Shelburne County) related to the movement of fishing families in the 1800s from your area to our ours. Enough history though! Our Chester, Lunenburg, Mahone Bay and Digby areas all look so much like your videos. I am jealous that you are ahead of us with your gardens by a couple of weeks. I adored this video thank you for sharing and can't wait to travel back to New England soon! Still have lots of family there :)
We stayed in Chatham for two weeks, loved everything about it, so it was wonderful to see it again! Always tell everyone here in the uk it’s the best!!
Wonderful video and I especially love the music. My dad returned to New England after WW2 with his roots going back to 1640. His family had made their way to the Midwest by the early 1800's, then the Northwest by 1900. And so he readopted New England as his home. It fascinated me how he tried to recreate his boyhood summers in N. Idaho by building a cottage on a lake in Maine. Backwoodsmen from around the country share so much in common, and he instinctively was drawn to Maine. Family reunions were held there as well as Cape Cod.
Linda, thank you for the mini vacation. We just love New England. My husband (Jerry) and I have been there several times. Jerry is the 12th generation of one Christopher Avery who came here in 1600. You are so right, New England is in your blood... Thank you again, just love your trips.....
Thanks for sharing this is a beautiful area of the commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA. I love both capes [Cape Cod & Cape May]. That English/American colonial look is ageless, then the gardens, stone fences, pavers, the grass on the dunes out to the water is just splendid.
Hi Linda, I had to write and tell you how much I enjoy your posts I am a Scottish lady living in Melbourne Australia and although we have some old historical buildings which are very beautiful I miss the heritage of my native Scotland and your visits to the beautiful towns really inspires me. You inspire me when you say you had an early morning walk at 5am goodness sometimes I am just going to bed at that time as I am a night owl since my beloved husband passed away 5 years ago we loved visiting old towns with historical buildings and history. I really believe we are kindred spirits as I am amazed at the connection to the way you live your life the keen interest in gardening the style of your home and what appeals to you, my style loosely is English Country style with some antiques anyway I'm rambling I just wanted to thank you for the inspiration you give me and the pleasure watching you looking forward to many more of your posts. Kindest regards Suzannah.
Gorgeous getaway, very tranquil... It must be so amazing to realize your ancestor settled that area. Thank you for the inspiration, and for taking us along, Linda. 🌊🛣🌼
Oh wow, Linda! Thanks for the memories......Nigel and I traveled through Cape Cod in the early nineties, just after Hurricane Bob went through (destroying all the fall colours). We stayed in some great old inns, I recall one was over 300 years old! It was quiet on the Cape, and we really enjoyed driving around and going into interesting buildings and stores. We had rather wet, cool weather in early Fall, and we ate crab and lobster by the bucket! Drool......
I really enjoyed "riding" along with you on the Cape. I have a few cousins who live there and a rich ancestral heritage from this area. I'm a California girl but LOVE all the beautiful homes and countryside of the East coast. Love your channel Linda! You inspire me!🙂
I'm as Southern as can be, but I visited Massachusetts years ago and have never felt more at peace. Years later I found an ancestor who had been one of the early settlers of Martha's Vineyard. I've never been there, but I hope to see that special place one day.
As you stated in the opening ….I’m Canadian (can see New York across the river, from my garden) but I’ve been sooooo drawn to New England since childhood. Finally went for a long weekend a few years ago and ….OMG…..home!!!
What a beautiful video. So relaxing. I took a screen shot of the planter with the tree and lights-I was just researching that same style of planter this morning to put beside my new pool pavilion to add a touch of class and green. I just finished reading. The Big House by George Howe Colt. A beautifully written story of a Cape Cod house and a century of family history. I highly recommend this book for anyone who loves homes and New England.
Fabulous Cape Cod travelogue starting with driving over the Bourne Bridge. Chatham Bars Inn is classic (pricey) New England; and Chatham is a great town to visit but wicked busy during the summer. Grew up spending summers on the Cape. You've inspired me to revisit the Inn as well as Thoreau's / Wequassett Resort. More travelogues, please. Greetings from Connecticut.
Loved your tour! I’m a Southern gal from Savannah originally who appreciates your fine taste. I’m ready to visit rural New England, as I am so comfortable with the furniture and style. I do have ancestors who settled in Pennsylvania. The classic mahogany, cherry, and walnut woods are my favorites. Thank you for the examples of elegant living.
I’m so intrigued with New England, these small communities are beautiful, seem like quiet, wonderful places to visit, so enjoying your channel, thank-you!
Linda, what a beautiful video. I am from Connecticut, even thought I have lived in Florida since 1988, I still call New England home. I vacationed many years in Chatham both summer and fall. How your video pulled at my heart and brought back so many wonderful memories. Thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful area of the country! Before my husband retired from a government job in Maryland, we discussed retiring in New Hampshire vs Arizona. We finally settled on Arizona mainly because of some health issues, but I often regret that choice. The desert is beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t have to explain to you about the beauty of four distinct seasons. The mixed planters at the places you went were exquisite. I’m wondering if they completely replace the plantings for the Summer, since they were obviously Spring flowers. I’m really looking forward to seeing what you have in store for us next!!
Such a generous video! So many beautiful, inspirational images to behold! Everything... esp the charming book you had with you made me smile and swoon! What a charming and special getaway. Thank you Linda!
Thank you so much. I might be an New Englander . The only thing I won't be walking in the snow. I am from Iowa so I know snow. But I like to watch it from inside. Everything is just beautiful there. I love the charm of the homes. It is a touch of class. So I will ride along and watch you redo each room. thanks Joyce
My husband and I spent ten lovely days visiting New England including The Cape last September, flying from Toronto to Boston,it was our first vacation since Covid!! We have wonderful friends who live in Nashua that invite us down each fall,it a time we all look forward to each year.🙂🍁
Thank you for this! I grew up in Osterville and had several homes on the Cape - I used to love having dinner at CBI and sitting on that fabulous porch for cocktail hour ♥...but I must say, the best food I had was at the Wequassett Inn, 28 Atlantic! And I too had driveways of crushed oyster shells....it smelled like they ocean, looked so serene - wreaked havoc on high heels but I didn't mid having to tip toe. In Florida now and do so miss NE - God's country...Thank you so much for this tour ♥♥
Linda love ❤️ your videos cause their so calming to see and hear. You always go through beautiful places with wonderful views. Thanks 🙏 funny r taking us along for the rides. Have a blessed day.
Thank you for taking your viewers along on this beautiful getaway to Chatham, Linda. I am experiencing luxurious and exquisite views and places in New England, thanks to you. Love it.
Enjoyed this so much. It brought back the many memories of New England vacations I used to take with my family. One year we rented a house for the summer on the shore near Chatham and visited the town quite often. It is definitely a beautiful destination! Thanks for the memories!
Oh! Now you're in my home away from home. My family regularly rents vacation homes in Chatham and Harwichport. As a teenager I worked at a summer estate in Cotuit and we owned a gift shop in Dennisport. So watching all the shops and restaurants is like looking at family home movies. I can smell the salt air and beach roses. One of the best places on earth. But don't tell anyone ;)
Hi Linda! I'm new to your channel & your episode of the video of all the beautiful homes, gardens, cafe, pretty furniture, & decor!! I'm glad I found your channel 😊🙏 GM Dayton Ohio
Thank you Linda. This was a great video. I hope you and Ben enjoyed your mini getaway. Such a beautiful place to visit. Have a good week and thank you for sharing.
I love NE Linda, & this video is most probably the nearest I will ever get to seeing the beautiful NE architecture. The video was superb to watch & left me with a sense of feeling at home as I have always felt some sort of connection with this country. I am from the far west of Cornwall England, maybe one my dream might come true & I will be able to visit this beautiful place. Thank you.
Thank you for taking us along with you Linda. I really enjoyed it. A few years ago we had the opportunity to take a trip to Osterville and this video brought back some wonderful memories. ❤
After watching this, I told my husband I want to have weekends like this!! His reply was, nothing in Illinois like that. Oh well, will settle for a week vacation!!
I have been visiting the cape for over 60 years. For the last 10 my husband and I have stayed in Chatham every autumn for 2 weeks. Our time there is always a joy. Thanks for sharing you visit. I've never been in the Chatham Bars Inn, but have passed it many times. It was fun to see the inside.
Linda, Linda! You are making me so homesick! Beautiful video; Cape Cod always has my heart as it has given me some of my favorite childhood memories. Came so close to living in Falmouth and owned a rental there for some time, but for whatever reason it never came to fruition as we ended up selling. I grew up in New England and my roots will always be there. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you Linda, what wonderful place, dream about visiting New England and your areas one day. So charming full of history. Thank you for sharing please keep doing it 💕🙏
Hi Linda! Thank you so much for taking us along on this getaway!! I just love New England! I love the architecture and decor!! Every time you take us along, I always see something I would like to incorporate into my decor or landscape also!! So, thank you again and so happy you got a chance for a little visit! See you in the next one! :)
Oh this got me so excited for our upcoming cape cod/Nantucket trip! We stayed in Chatham two years ago and it was so incredibly charming 💞 Thank you as always for sharing incredible New England inspiration!
I really loved your trip down to Chatham, we love the Cape. It was so peaceful and relaxing with the quite music. We now live in Florida and I really miss the Cape in spring. Enjoy life.
Absolutely beautiful. A reoccurring theme that I found myself drawn to is that most of the properties stick to shrubberies and greens as their staples, something that I find very simple, elegant and calming. What a wonderful place to take a break.
I really enjoyed this video! The flowers were just beautiful. It did give me some ideas for my window boxes. I have been researching my family history and I just love finding out all kinds of interesting things. Glad you had an enjoyable trip.
Hi Linda. I so enjoyed viewing all the places you visited. I really liked the headboard in the suite you and your husband stayed inn. Also got ideas from that flickering outdoor light fixtures. All in all your video beautiful and inspiring. Thank you for sharing. ❤
I completely understand the pillow fluffing. You're simply one of life's "picture straighteners" (as my Grandmother would tell me...) I love Cape Cod so I very much appreciate you taking us along on your getaway!
Beautiful tour. I really enjoyed it. The black frame on the storm door looks great. I am thinking of doing that to my storm door frame. Thank you for the inspiration. Love your channel
Linda we have been vacationing up on Shore Road in Chatham, Mass. for years and years. I have so enjoyed watching ur trip to one of our favorite places♥️Chatham is such a sweet village.
Loved this video. I was born in Miami to New England parents and lived my childhood summers in Hingham, MA. When I was 20 I moved permanently to Mass., met my husband and have lived here for 50 years. I know the Cape well. My mother is descended back to Governor Bradford so perhaps we are related!
Linda, I rarely comment, but I have to tell you that I caught myself smiling from ear to ear while watching this! Just beautiful! Thank you for sharing!❤
You are so kind to share your beautiful journey with us! Thank you, Linda! It is a source of calm in a stressful time! ❤️
I'm glad you enjoyed this episode.
Hello Linda, I just love when you share beautiful New England, towns and villages. These little "field trips" are so enjoyable! Thank you for taking us along. Take care, and be well.
I love Cape Cod and New England. This New Yorker visits as often as I can.
Ah..what memories..the feeling and sound of walking on shell pathways

I have to watch twice Linda, so beautiful 🏡 🌲 🌲🌲

Definately a place I would love to visit. Perfect trip for me and twin sis! I really enjoy your field trips. It's so nice to live through your lense.
We have wonderful friends who live in Nashua that invite us down each fall,it a time we all look forward to each year.🙂🍁
I plan to bring a little of New England to my new little cottage in West Virginia. I have been so inspired, thank you so much.
I love your videos. This one was especially relaxing.
Unbelievably beautiful. I am besotted by New England and by England. I’m a Yankee through and through. Wonderful that you took us with you. Sigh.
Thank you.
Dawn, I hope your dream comes true!!
Oh,Linda thank u for sharing. It is my Sunday night off and am playing catch up.This is great.
I was there last Summer and I can't wait to go back. It's so beautiful. You really captured it. 🌞
Awesome video! I feel like I went on vacation for a few minutes. I loved it!
Thankyou for sharing New England with us!
Absolutely beautiful!
I love your music selections on all your videos..I sure enjoy all your videos..thank you so, so much.

Just love anything coastal xxx
Looking down to the ocean reminds me of my favourite
trump turnberry resort which also overlooks the sea 🌊
I really loved your trip down to Chatham, we love the Cape. It was so peaceful and relaxing with the quite music. We now live
in Florida and I really miss the Cape in spring. Enjoy life.
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Absolutely beautiful. A reoccurring theme that I found myself drawn to is that most of the properties stick to shrubberies and greens as their staples, something that I find very simple, elegant and calming. What a wonderful place to take a break.
This was such a lovely video..You two must of had a marvelous time. I was blown away by all the beauty.. and the history..
Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for the enjoyment. A favorite place of mine, too.
I really enjoyed this video! The flowers were just beautiful. It did give me some ideas for my window boxes. I have been researching my family history and I just love finding out all kinds of interesting things. Glad you had an enjoyable trip.
Linda, thank you for taking me back to Cape Cod. It's been years since I have been there. I ❤ everything about Cape Cod.
Hi Linda. I so enjoyed viewing all the places you visited. I really liked the headboard in the suite you and your husband stayed inn. Also got ideas from that flickering outdoor light fixtures. All in all your video beautiful and inspiring. Thank you for sharing. ❤
What a wonderful video, Linda!
Thank you❤️
I live in Texas and don’t get to see New England Country🥰
VERY NICE TOUR OF NEW ENGLAND, ONE OF MY FAVORITE SPOTS. THANK YOU.
I completely understand the pillow fluffing. You're simply one of life's "picture straighteners" (as my Grandmother would tell me...) I love Cape Cod so I very much appreciate you taking us along on your getaway!
i love it when you take us along on your excursions !
So cool! Who knows. So many connections from the start.
Thank you for taking us along, it was very beautiful!
Oh Linda, what a wonderful video, I enjoyed it immensely! Thank you so much for taking us along on your little weekend getaway!
