Typing from op 7 pro. It's truly a one of a kind phone. I usually don't use phones for more than a year or two because I get bored but with op7 pro i just can't get tired of it. The pop up cam and the full display with the curves is just gorgeous piece of tech.
Really nice restoration. One thing I would recommend is, after removing most of the old adhesive, finish it off with some alcohol on a swab to remove any remaining debris or oils.
If so, then I'm terrified because this is my first phone with fingerprint scanner placed under the display and it's horrible. One of the biggest cons this phone has. It's no match for scanners placed in the power buttons of some phones i previously had. Too bad they don't do this anymore.
@@zniesmaczony i have the OnePlus 7t and i use the fingerprint scanner everyday it works perfectly but i think it has something to do with dirty fingerprint or something idk

I bought my oneplus 7 pro when they first released from kogan in australia, still going super strong and wont uprgrade until the 10 or 11 pro! Great video mate!
I love this phone so much, and even though I did switch to an iPhone for other reasons, I really love my 7 Pro. Given how freaking cool the camera is, I'm going to keep this one safe for a long time, even though I don't use it anymore.
About 2 weeks ago I did my first full repair, it was an iPhone 6s screen and housing repair, everything went fine apart from the home button; even though I replaced the gasket and made sure it stuck right, it’s wobbly!
I am watching this on my OnePlus 7 pro. It's over 2 years old but I love it more than any iPhone or Samsung. It still looks like it was released today. A really beautiful phone.
Glad to see you went for the Oneplus phone, good video. Hopefully I will never have to use it as a DIY exercise (except for a future battery change). Viewed from my One Plus 7pro 🇮🇪.
Thank you! Thanks to you I've gotten confident in opening up old phones, and know how to do everything properly! It's always great seeing a new video, you and others will probably spark more and skilled third party repair!
I got the lighter version of 6GB/128GB with the front panel quite broken (3 lines at the top and 1 at the bottom with 1 quite smashed point on the top right corner) but it's still completely usable. Got it for 180 euros last October in France, which was a complete steel I'd say. Only downside for a small guy like me is that it's pretty huge and heavy, compared to my S9. But the battery and fast charging are absolute killer features. Apart from the huge form factor, there's actually nothing to complain about. By the way the price of the screen is as much as a used phone, plus the method of replacing is down right hard to reproduce... Might just consider keep using it as it is and move on to a different phone maybe next year.
what i love about oneplus is if there's a pop in store, you can get the phone fixed with a reasonable price, my old oneplus 5 screen swap was like max 70/80€. love the phone as well and great video!

Bought my OnePlus 7T Pro last November. Not a single regret. Fast, good looking and no notch or punch hole whatsoever. I was waiting for 8 Pro, thinking that it won't have a notch, but i was disappointed.
Love that phone - not available in Canada from ANY carrier - ordered mine in from California - it's super fast and a "head turner" - my portable office.
I repaired my oneplus 7t pro too, i bought it for 100 euro, also with a mashed up oled, i ordered a original screen service pack which costed me 260 euro excluding tax. So i have now a oneplus 7t pro for 450 euro. Its amazing to see what the brand oneplus has in forms of build quality, design and innovation, i have a phone repair shop myself for over 6 years now and i have never seen a smartphone brand innovative like oneplus
i had a 7 Pro for about a year and a half, it's a great phone, but I decided to switch it up and switch to a Note 20 Ultra. It was a learning curve going from the awesome OxygenOS to OneUI and to this day I still am not a huge fan of OneUI, but now that I've further upgraded to a S22 Ultra I'm fully into the Samsung environment.

This guy really shows you that anyone can fix a phone if they have the right tools and the patients, I mean seriously you can make some serious money repairing devices
I recently repaired a Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition (man that name is long) and made it my new phone. Only issue i find is that the back adhesive is hard to find without paying 15 buck shipping. That and screen protector that look nice.
Big FYI to all interested in repairing this model - be mindful working with the 7T Pro; OnePlus builds the in-screen fingerprint sensor into the frame so it is non-removable, and exercises using anti-repair by matching the serial numbers similarly to Apple! Therefore on the 7T Pro it is impossible to do a screen + frame replacement while maintaining full functionality :/
liquid adhesive takes a long time to dry I usually let the adhesive dry for 12+ hours before cleaning the excess glue and usually the glue is nice and strong and I think it makes a cleaner job
I own a OnePlus 7 Pro. Battery suffers a lot because of super fast charging, consider replacing battery if you plan to use it as a daily driver! Mine has lost around 900 mAh of capacity in 15 month or so.
