God I remember watching your hella old speed paints and finding you during the big SU phase lol, it’s amazing how far you have gone!

I've been following you on RUclips and on Tumblr since 2015, I was only 14 when I came across your first Peridot speedpaint and I was instantly hooked. The growth you've had these past six years is astonishing. I get a sense of nostalgia when I look back at your 2015/2016 paintings, not because they're insanely old or anything, but because I've changed a lot since then, so it feels longer than it is.
Thanks for all the years of fantastic art, It's been amazing growing up with you.

I know us watching your videos has help you’ve grown and helped you cope with your depression, but I hope you know that it’s done the same for us. At least for me it has. For a while I felt like I really had nothing to look forward to but then upon finding youtubers like you I found something very very easy and simple to keep me going. I hope you know that you're videos gave me the same kind of inspiration that you got when you were younger. I used to watch your tutorials on loop trying to mimic your art style lol, and they really helped me refine my digital painting. I even won a gold ket at the scholastic art and writing awards for my work, and part of that is because of you! I'm hoping to go to SCAD as well, but we'll see if I get enough scholarships. Fingers crossed!

I started using SAI because it was what you used, and I remember making like my favorite piece of art for that time in my life by following that tutorial. oh my god, i remember i was around the same age as u were when u found out about speedpaints and i found your channel! you didnt have much videos yet but i rewatched your gorillaz and homestuck speedpaints over and over, trying to dissect how u made such good art. i didnt realize it was that long ago already, ur arts helped me so much in getting better at art myself. thank you so much 🥺💕

I remember being 12 and wanting to make digital art without even knowing that u needed a tablet if u want to hace pressure or sensitivity. You are one of my main inspirations to start digital art and I've always loved ur style- I've even tried to follow ur tutorials lol.

I've watched (and rewatched) your videos since when you were using paint tool sai (I still use your brush configurations and some elements of your process on that software because you just taught me how to paint digitally, basically). I just wanted to say that I really really enjoy yoir videos and I'm happy to be one of the very assiduous constant viewers of your channel, lol. It's very nice to see how your "style" (or process, or... stuff. I'll go with style, I hope it's accurate) has changed over the years. I personally have been enjoying it. I admire how you're using more solid shapes in highlights and shadows and how natural it looks still. Also your color choices are amazing on this one. You know, it's funny, because I was just watching a speedpaint from like... 2010? And it was jarring seeing something a decade+ later, and realizing just how much their art influenced my own. I had watched that speedpaint at least 30 times, and I almost felt like I had helped make it with how well I knew the strokes, and how much I had taken their strokes and used them to better my art.
Not sure where I'm going with this comment, but you reminded me of that. And I'm so glad to see the difference between last year's portrait and this one.

As someone who has been watching since your homestuck days (god this makes ME feel old) I've always looked up to your art techniques and the way you seemed to always improve with every piece. Knowing that you struggle with mental health issues as well really makes me feel like i'm not alone with my experiences and makes me respect you even more because i know how hard it is when your in that deep pit. The ability to grow is something so wonderful and i can't wait to see what you'll make next!

I started watching you back when you drew Homestuck, you were the person that I first saw making speedpaints, you made me want to do that, I brought the same wacom you used to have, because if you could do it I could learn it too. It's crazy to think it was 6 years ago. I have come so far and it all started because your love for art inspired me to pursue it too.
In those six years I've been through a lot of shit, lie, an awful lot, and drawing has taken my mind off things, inspiring me to draw the reality that I wanted. I don't consider myself good, but I do it for myself, because it's my time to don't think about reality and take my burdens off my shoulders. I really don't see my life getting better, but I can see myself improvint my art, which is some of the only reasons that I can say it's worthy living.
Thank you for everything, for being my inspiration when I needed it, for being a friend when I had none, for being my distraction and teacher.
