I'm a person who has gone to Great America and has rode American Eagle every single time, but this ride blew me away on the first three hills. It was amazing! Can't wait to go back again!
this was the first rollercoaster i'd ever been on. i remember that feeling when i was on the very top of the first hill and thought, "SHIT JUST GOT REAL."
My band went to MI last year and we rode this 16 times in a row at the end of the day. I had a headache so bad that when we went to Arby's to eat, I immediately puked it all up when we walked out the door.
i buy seasons passes every year for cedarpoint, lol im down there almost every weekend when the park opens all the way up o holloweekends , witch is my favorite, during october holloweekends i was able to ride magnum like 6 times in 45 mins, love CP in october, hardly any lines, and nice and cool outside :)
everytime the guy says wooooooooooooooooooo he is experiencing airtime. (FLOATING SENSATION). you get that same airtime feeling on alot of coaster esp magnum at Cedarpoint at the end of the ride when its going thru the tunnels
i had serious back pain after riding this, and i was even more scared on this than i was on thunderhawk or even at cedar point. this ride dont mess around
I have been on top thrill, maverick, magnum, millenium force and all of the other coasters at cedar point... but Shivering Timbers at Michigans Adventure is by far my favorite roller coaster.
I went on this a few days ago, if you sit in the rear it just litterally WHIPS you over that first hill, lol. My dad only rode it twice with me because it was too bumpy for him, the second time he lost his hat xD
Not a problem, but you corrected someone else's error, so I figured I would return the favor. And I do believe I was referring to Mean Streak being in Cedar Point, and not at Michigan's Adventure, though now it seems you were just comparing the two rides. Which one would you say is better?
Yes, I was comparing the two rides. I have been to both parks multiple times, so I know what rides are in which park. I would say Shivering Timbers is a much better coaster if you were comparing the air time of both of them. Mean Streak is much more of an engineering accomplishment though considering it is much bigger and has over 1.7 million board feet of wood.
thats what i thought, this is the only one next to the other coster with the train haning from the tracks that i liked, id much rather go to cedar point in ohio. but, this was a suprise to have a coaster of this calibar in this small of a park. im going to ride it again , lol just to see if it was just the first time scare, if it scares the crap out of me again, ill be shocked.
I KNOW!!! Halloweekends is my favorite part of the season cause you get to see people paranod cause they dont want to be spooked(i did once and I accidentally punched the dude in the nose), and i love the little lines, and its cold (my favorite part)
i live 10 minutes away from this park lol actually i've worked there at pizza wagon right by it lol i've rode that thing so many times its insane lol i lost count
I have been on the Raven and the Voyage, and for my tastes I prefer Shivering Timbers. Even though it's gotten a little rougher in recent years, this ride is still pretty much untouchable. ElToroisamazing, have you been on ST? If not, you may want to try it before you deny it. BTW, I *have* heard that El Toro is phenomenal. Hopefully I will get on it soon.
dude i sat in the back and a lady in front of me had just gotten out of the water park so her hair was extremely wet. not fun to sit behind on shivering timbers.... i hit a +1 cuz i got a headache on the same time i just told u about
To cutie889: I went yesterday and if you like roller coasters then you'll love this one! When you first go down it feels like youre going to fly off the tracks! But its not that bad really. i took my 9 year old daughter on it and she loved it more than ripcord.
if you guys want some real thrills, go to Cedar Point in Ohio, with the ranked best steel coaster in the world: Millenium Force, my favorite coaster there.
dude i was scared because i heard somebody fell off and died at the top so i never went on it till this year and i have an excuse: im nine and i felt like jumping off at the top
just rode this thing today, believe me when i tell you that im a thrill seeker, and it takes alot to scare, me, this thing scared the living hell out of me. Maybe because it was the first time, and i didnt know what to expect, well anywayz, im a season pass holder to cedarpoint in ohio, and meansteak, has nothing on this thing. nothing but airtime on the coster.
ha i went on 12 times in a row total of 16 in a day and it was raining really hard one time and it felt like hail was hitting us. that was sooooooo fun. ive been to cedarpointe and this is better than any of there woodys. cedar pointe is better but this is a better woody. all you guys compare to this is steel coasters
@Michael321990 but more chances of dieing on the roller coasters in ceader point than michigan adventures so ha it is actually 93% more risks of dieing!
It is in Muskegon not whiteball! And i went on that yesterday June 7 2011 and that was the 2nd rollercoaster no 3rd i went on in my whole life and i was screaming mommy and was so close to peeing my pants!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm a person who has gone to Great America and has rode American Eagle every single time, but this ride blew me away on the first three hills. It was amazing! Can't wait to go back again!
Man, this ride looks so awesome! I've never seen a woodie like this one at all.
Woah, very long ride, I'm going to MI adventure soon and this is a must ride.
one of the best wooden coasters in the worlds right there
this was the first rollercoaster i'd ever been on.
i remember that feeling when i was on the very top of the first hill and thought,
"SHIT JUST GOT REAL."

Great Coaster... btw, its in Muskeegon MI... on Whitehall road
everytime the guy says wooooooooooooooooooo he is experiencing airtime. (FLOATING SENSATION). you get that same airtime feeling on alot of coaster esp magnum at Cedarpoint at the end of the ride when its going thru the tunnels
FYI-Michigan's Adventures is in Muskegon,MI.
Not the BEST pov of this ride that I've seen, but definitely watchable. Good Job!
I live in michigan and that roller coater is awesome!!!!!! My 8th grade class is coming here =]
i had serious back pain after riding this, and i was even more scared on this than i was on thunderhawk or even at cedar point. this ride dont mess around

this ride hurts man but its so worth the fun this video makes it look like crappy small but it looks huge when ur at the top
Ya, it must be very common to have that break down. I still can't believe this was my first rollercoaster ever!
I have been on top thrill, maverick, magnum, millenium force and all of the other coasters at cedar point... but Shivering Timbers at Michigans Adventure is by far my favorite roller coaster.
I've been on that ride yesterday :)
ilove this ride i went there last summer
omg so fun i love michigans adventures
I went on this a few days ago, if you sit in the rear it just litterally WHIPS you over that first hill, lol. My dad only rode it twice with me because it was too bumpy for him, the second time he lost his hat xD
This was my FIRST rollercoaster I have ever riden
I Love This Ride It Is Amazing It is SWEET!!!

i rode this 3 times like 3 days ago.... it was so epic, but it hurts my back and heart
Shivering Timbers is much scarier than the Thunderhawk. I agree completely.
I rode this 6 times yesterday.
ya, i have seen that break down a couple of times actually
yeah man, its shivering timbers it has 4 hills, I was on this thing yesterday.
thats what i thought, this is the only one next to the other coster with the train haning from the tracks that i liked, id much rather go to cedar point in ohio. but, this was a suprise to have a coaster of this calibar in this small of a park. im going to ride it again , lol just to see if it was just the first time scare, if it scares the crap out of me again, ill be shocked.
how did u get the camera on the ride and not to fall and break?
I'm going there on tha 14th. Any ride suggestions?
I KNOW!!! Halloweekends is my favorite part of the season cause you get to see people paranod cause they dont want to be spooked(i did once and I accidentally punched the dude in the nose), and i love the little lines, and its cold (my favorite part)

i hit a +1 cuz i got a headache on the same time i just told u about
The ride feels less shakey the more you ride it.
good luck bro lol the first drop is deadly thats it haha.. but it was scary.
oh my gosh, this ride was soo scary the first time i rode it, then it got really fun but hurt my back =]
@vuluver135 the reason they don't is because they want people to be suprised on their first time instead of know what it looks like
WOW MY FRIEND TRICKED ME ON GOING ON HERE. AS A PERSON THAT ISNT A FAN OF COASTERS THIS WAS SCARY
This was the coolest ride in its early years , Now its just to shakey and give people massive Headaches
i went on this 10 times in a row and had a lot of bruises but it was worth it!!
To cutie889: I went yesterday and if you like roller coasters then you'll love this one! When you first go down it feels like youre going to fly off the tracks! But its not that bad really. i took my 9 year old daughter on it and she loved it more than ripcord.
its not wooden at all... but it is suspended meaning your feet are dangling and the track is above you... but its steel
ok you build the drop bigger and make the bottom of the hill connect
Mean Streak may be taller but DEFINATLY not as much air time.
i love this ride, the hills seem bigger when your actually riding tho =/
I dont care what anyone says thats a fun ride. and for the whole muskegon whitehall arguement, it says whitehall road north muskegon on google maps.
im goin tomorrow and on this ride
Great video! Weeeee!
Great ride, but very shaky. Had a splitting headache after the 3rd time riding it.
if you guys want some real thrills, go to Cedar Point in Ohio, with the ranked best steel coaster in the world: Millenium Force, my favorite coaster there.

Not at Michigan's Adventure, you're thinking Cedar Point.
You obviously haven't been on the Raven, Voyage, Phoenix, and El Toro.
and AGAINSED is spelled "against."
its not whitehall its muskegon michigan...

Maybe because it was the first time, and i didnt know what to expect, well anywayz, im a season pass holder to cedarpoint in ohio, and meansteak, has nothing on this thing. nothing but airtime on the coster.

@Kcentral2013 me too
@Michael321990 but more chances of dieing on the roller coasters in ceader point than michigan adventures so ha it is actually 93% more risks of dieing!

I don't like roller coasters at all, wooden or not, I'd friggin hate to be on that thing.
