  • First released in 1995, the K9 is a stainless steel single-stack pistol designed for concealed carry. Though large, and heavy for some, by today's standards, the flagship of Kahr Arms remains popular among several shooters for defense and recreational purposes.
*Note: I state this pistol is the second single-stack nine-millimeter I have ever owned because it is: the Hi-Point C9 "YEET Cannon" and DWM P08 were purchased months after the Kahr K9, though their respective videos were scheduled for an earlier release.

It amazes me how prices go down and even how people regard these guns as less lethal when compared to newer higher capacity models. These are still very relevant and lethal.

I’ve gotten to know Justin Moon over the past few months and his company is truly supportive of our constitutional rights. I honestly don’t own one but haven’t written them off either. They do have reliability issues to some degree but the K series are just beautiful.

Nice recoil control! I have a CW9 and would love a K9 one day.

It was the overwhelming favorite of nypd authorized off duty weapons in the 90s.

I carry my kahr cw9. Kahr firearms are some of the best slimmest pistols available. Great video

First movie I've seen the Kahr K9 in was Shaft (2000) with Sam L Jackson. That's what made me love it even more than I already do.

I love my PM9 so far. It was the first pistol I ever fired at 15. 10 years later, I own one. Very snappy compared to my G19, but it fits in the pocket and reliably cycles 147gr HSTs. Becoming a Kahr fan, can’t wait for their X9 to come out.

The best cinematic appearance of the K9 was when Phil Leotardo go whacked on the Sopranos! ruclips.net/video/_AC1FoIQVV0/видео.html

It was cheap cause it was probably an NYPD buy back. The NYPD discontinued allowing it to be used and many of the thousands of officers who had them rushed to get rid of them for any pittance they could get for them. Glock cleaned up, offering the 26 for the k9 and 100 bucks. Sold ALOT of glock 26s that way

The K9 was replaced with the Smith and Wesson shield. The G26 was already authorized.

@@SolitaryMaverickbefore the Shield was an option the NYPD stopped authorizing the Kahr K9. It was not grandfathered in, as virtually all other guns were. The only other one to become unauthorized to carry was the S&W Model 60 DAO. For the Job to tell cops who spent their own money to buy a gun the department approved is a rare thing. The reason for it, just like the Model 60, was light strikes. The Job specified a heavy trigger and the guns became less reliable due to it.
I have an NYPD Kahr K9. I collect NYPD guns since I’m retired from that agency. It hasn’t given me any issues but I shoot it very rarely.

    How do you like it thus far? I have 5 of them. A K9, two K40(s), a MK9, and MK40. All I'm missing is a T9 and T40. I EDC the K40 regularly.
