It depends, but for most sessions I've done the drums are so loud that they prefer to just have the other instruments in the headphones. I'm sure there are some cases where this won't be true
Firstly, thanks for making this video! I'm a Logic native so this has some great advice. The one thing holding me back from making the full switch is the lack of solo safe. In Logic, I would create an external output for headphones that I can solo safe, so I can exclusively listen to a channel while tracking and it won't affect the headphone mix. Is there at all an option to do this in Ableton?
No and yes! There is no Solo Safe in Ableton to my knowledge. But yes you can create pre-fader sends to a Return track and route that return out to whatever outputs and use it as a cue headphone mix
