Wonderful emotional moment. Steve Jobs and John Lasseter are prime examples of who I look up to. Well deserved and beautiful speech.

In September, I gave a Toastmasters Speech, and I actually had seen this speech in person, a month before, at the D23 Expo.
John was on my mind when I spoke in my first speech. I spoke of my Mom who had died of Cancer when I was a High School Freshman, and my school's Jazz Band who helped me at a time when I needed it. John brought forth emotion that touched those of us in the audience. Made us laugh, and cry at what had happened to him, and his connection to Steve Jobs.
John's speech mannerisms inspired me, and because of this, my first Toastmasters Speech was incredibly successful.

Great Speech; I think some people give CG a lot more hate than it deserves, I'd love to see a new Hand-Drawn film as much the next person but seriously, "Oh CG is just lazy, You just keep using the same models and sets over and over again." by that logic Stop-Motion would be considered lazy.
    Hand-Drawn, Stop-Motion, CG, 2D, 3D, 4D, 24 fps, 48 fps; WHAT DIFFERENCE WOULD IT MAKE.

John Lassetter should become DISNEY CEO. He is a man with vision, someone who could shift the company in the right direction! Someone that respects the tradition but is going forward. I mean look, a few years ago he became Chief of Walt Disney Animation Department. The first project he looked after from the beginning - Frozen- is the best animated disney movie since "the lion king"!

I agree that he's immensely talented and would be an Amazing CEO, but if he did that, then Pixar and Disney Animation would rarely ever see him again!
I think Bob Iger is a great Chief because he knows how to find these gems like Lasseter and give them creative control and freedom to do whatever they feel is best.
The best formula is to Leave the Corporate bureaucracy to Iger, and leave Animation to Lasseter!

Who are you to say who was and wasn't a dear friend of Steve Jobs? Because some author who was NOT Steve Jobs wrote it doesn't mean jack! Were you friends with Steve and Bob to know their relationship?

I think Jobs made that comparison because both those films were the first of their kind.

I hate it when celebrities or anybody for that matter say that some one is a dear friend of theirs when if you compare their friendship to others, it really isn't considered a dear friendship. I say this because in all the documentaries and books on Steve Jobs no where does it say that bob iger and Jobs were that good of friends. Hell, bob iger isn't even mentioned in the book on Jobs.
