I hope you are well. This week in my crochet tutorial and free written pattern I am bringing to you a very easy and feminine pocket scarf with a hood. This project is called "The Simple Purity Pocket Scarf with a Hood, and is a pocket shawl/wrap/scarf with a hood.

Hi Selina - About how big is the hood? I am using a thinner yarn than recommended, so I'm sure it will be more than 17 rows. Approx how many inches (or cm) is the 17 rows? Thank you!
Hi, thank you for your question. I would recommend you create enough rows for your hood to measure about 16". Once you have 16", close both sides off as seen in video to create hood, and make sure it is big enough before sewing if that makes sense. I hope this helps!

hi I made this as per pattern but the hood was not big enough. I did 9 inches either side.would it be because there wasn't enough sc across to start with? any advise appreciated thanks
Hi, I just checked, and 9 inches on each side is how much it should be. If it is too small, why not try 10 inches either side, or add rows to make the hood bigger too. I hope this helps!
How much of a 4 weight yarn (i.e. Caron One Pound or RH With Love) would I need for this? I’m also 6’ tall so I will need to make it a bit longer...🤷♀️
