SPIRAL CUTTERHEAD CUTTER ROTATION for THICKNESS PLANER

When you thickness planer starts to have results of an uneven surface you need to consider rotating the cutter heads. These cutter heads are made of carbide and last a long time but eventually they will wear and by rotating them 90° you have a fresh new cutting surface. Be sure to clean the under the cutters as well as the machined cutter head to be sure that the carbide cutters fit perfectly onto the cutter head so the surface of the planed material will be even and smooth. A step-by-step demonstration is presented.
