- We are adding in some new fields on our organic land to preserve the soil from erosion. We are also planning on doing different strips of crops plus some test plots to see what works best on our farm. Come along with us for an adventure as we learn what works best for our organic operation. #planting2024 #organicfarming #organic #pennsylvania #Pennsylvaniafarming
Field looking great. Been cold and snow in Illinois last 2 days.
I hope your inputs arent delayed from the Baltimore Port Bridge collapse. Have a great spring season.
Great job narrating Michelle, hope you all have a blessed rest of the week.
Great video good to see the whole family getting involved too 😊
Wow he lets you drive along in the tractor? See we always knew he is a great guy. Nice to see you guys doing good 👍
This was pretty awesome. Cheers, Eric! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️#FarmersFeedPeople
Being as our predominate grass is a Hybrid, to establish New Hay field, We have to use a method called "sprigging" or planting live parts of the living growing plants "dug" and loaded from established areas.... the Digging process does not harm the established areas... it comes right back... First year is not so great with production, but with proper care it never needs replanting,,,, and will spread Once established it never leaves!!!
Smart move . Strip farming work well on rolling hills. Looks like soybean farmer operation with ford tractor and jd grain drill lol!
Eric u need a bigger tractor for that drill lol
i thought you sold the john deere and turbo till?
No but it's for sale so we can upgrade or downgrade
Did all this rain wash the field?
I was out yesterday keeping an eye on it it did not look bad at all but I'll do an updated video shortly
