One thing to keep in mind about drinking during this era; when men came home from World War II they had PTSD just like every other generation. Unfortunately they weren't allowed to address it. The war is over! Let's move on and enjoy our lives!
They weren't allowed to acknowledge they were traumatized by war which is why they drank as much as they did.
As Roger said about his generation and drinking, "We drink because we deserve it"

That's a really insightful point! It's heartbreaking how societal pressures influenced their coping mechanisms. Roger's quote really captures that complex mix of denial and justification. Thanks for sharing this perspective!

28 views in four months? What? This video is too good for that.
This is exactly what I was looking for: an analysis of a TV show portraying sinful 1960s America, so I can learn about America without having to endure the pain of watching a TV show portraying so much sin.

I grew up in West Virginia in the 80’s and 90’s, I don’t think the surgeon general curbed any of their cig use😂

Remember when Betty demanded Don puck up the kids during the 1968 race riot. She cracked me up.

Yes we are still working on men respecting us in the workplace, but both genders can have double standards and unfair attitudes, but human being s will be human beings, but we can still try.

This affectation you're doing is off putting. I'm out after 70 seconds.

Hey! I appreciate the feedback. I'm experimenting with a few different styles on my channel to see what works best with everyone. I know it's not going to click for everyone, but it's super helpful to hear what resonates (or doesn't!).

Shoot your own series about your virtue signalling woke view of the 60s.
It’s not what the series was about.

What are you talking about, no one is bashing the series?😂 tell us you’re a boomer without telling us you’re a boomer.

Are we suddenly acting as if the 60's weren't "woke"?
