- How to run Diablo 2 in fullscreen on windows 10. I was tired when I made this. Also, on the "renderer" tab of glide-init.exe I have "keep desktop composition" checked. This didn't make any difference but just a side note I forgot to add

Omg, thank you, you have no idea how long i've been searching, since the Direct3D wasn't working, so i couldn't play it on full screen and i couldn't figure out how to use glide wrapper, but this little tutorial is quick and simple. :3

Thank you! Worked perfectly! Personally I like having the Keep Aspect Ratio ON so it doesn't stretch the game out horizontally, since the game was originally made with a 4:3 ratio :D

This stretches the screen to fit horizontally. You can simply leave "keep aspect ratio" checked and it will still work, and without stretching.
I prefer playing without stretch,too. Thank you for mentioning this pal
I can't fathom why someone would be bothered more by the black bars than the stretching deformation... original aspect ratio always!!!

I was looking at a looong week before my new D2R gaming computer comes in, and now I can truly enjoy my wait with some FULL screen D2 Classic once again... :D
Problem update:
After doing all this and then Saving & Exiting the game it will not load up again until I go into Properties and delete that -3dfx addition to the shortcut.
Anyone else having this problem and know how TO fix it..?

The solution is stupidly simple: in gpu management app (not in system settings) choose "stretched" or "maintain display scaling" instead of "maintain aspect ratio" and any non-widescreen game will run fullscreen.
Thank you soooo much!!!! It's been years since I couldn't play diablo II because the CD didn't work in modern pcs, then a few months ago I download it from Blizzard and it only run in windowed mode. Now I have a fullscreen with the real aspect ratio.
Works for me and now I can see the movies thank you.

Well, thank you, again. This process does work with 1.12 and I am now able to play Diablo II again. This time, it will be at 1.12 without Lord of Destruction installed. It has been a long time since I played Diablo II in this way.

For anyone still having issues, if you have a G-SYNC or Freesync monitor, try disabling that and see if it works. Mine worked after I disabled GSYNC in nvidia settings.
