I don't think this would be the best environment for young children. Children should be socialising with their own age group. And taking part in activities that will stimulate there development. You can bet your bottom dollar children were forced to worship this statue of the virgin Mary. I think education is a big problem in this situation.
I do think If parents are religious have the right to bring children to church for Sunday worship. And teach them about there beliefs and the teachings of the church without forcing anything on them.
I do believe that If an adult does not attend Sunday Worship. They should not in later life then go and get married in a church. It just feels hypocritical. That last comment was just a thought that came to my head. But it makes alot of sense too.
