  • Here's a quick and very easy tutorial on how to crochet a basic bucket hat! This pattern can be adjusted to fit any size head by using a different size crochet hook and by working fewer or more rows than I do in the video. This is a perfect beginner's first project because it utilizes the most basic stitches and concepts, while at the same time is a great tutorial for intermediate and advanced crocheters who want to gift themselves or others a bucket hat. Enjoy!

    How to Crochet a Bucket Hat (Quick & Easy Tutorial for Beginners)
    Even though the Atreyu Crochet channel is for beginners, I think it's necessary to build upon the basics. The great thing about crocheting is that even the most complicated of patterns can still be broken down to the very basics of crocheting.
    Don't ever approach a crochet pattern with doubt. Simply break down the pattern and approach it one stitch at a time. If a stitch is foreign to you, then find a RUclips tutorial on it, learn the stitch, and resume with the pattern. Although our starting point is that of a beginner, it is also true that that is not our destination.
    Happy Crocheting! :)

    Your instructions are precise and clear! Thanks. I just finished making this hat and it is not what I expected. So my disclaimer is as follows: I may have misunderstood which hat you were teaching. I wanted the bucket hat. (Middle) because my hat looks like the blue one without the brim. I really wanted the brim. Did I do something wrong? Please advise

    • @AtreyuCrochet
      @AtreyuCrochet  9 месяцев назад

      Sorry for the confusion. The middle hat in the thumbnail is a little bit larger. I made a 7th round in the beginning circle instead of 6. You can also try to use a slightly larger hook. I hope that helps.

    • @jessicadawn5290
      @jessicadawn5290 9 месяцев назад

      Thank you for responding. So based upon the 2 suggestions, I will have a brim if I do one of those?

      Not sure. You definitely should use the method prescribed in the video though. Make the initial circle big enough to fit the crown of his head.
