I absolutely love locs & agree with every pro you mentioned. I also don’t think that the cons are of any great significance or will make this journey not worth it. One thing I learned is that people are so negative towards locs (I don’t call them dreads, because there’s nothing dreadful about them). As soon as you mention that you want locs, they tell you, “Oh, I bet you won’t keep it for a year or two.” Like if I were processing my hair (and I have) no one looks at you and says you’re not gonna keep that style for long. But I don’t blame them, it’s the effect of colonialism.
On another note, you’re beautiful & your locs are gorgeous. Keep posting amazing, real content 😊🤗

I will say… my wash days as a loose natural were like 6hrs if not more. From washing, conditioning, deep conditioning, detangling, and the LOC method to braid… 😅
One year into my loc journey & my wash days are JUST washing 2x, oiling, and sitting under the dryer for 30 minutes. So… I’m only at 1 hour on wash days. And on retwist days… it’s about 3
When I go natural I plan on getting locs

So I'm thinking of starting my loc journey but I'm stuck on getting single coils or just doing instant locs
Can you please give me some advice I've had locs for like 7-8 months but I have straight white hair & even tho I wear a bonnet most nights my dreads are now shoulder length& some of my locs are bending up twisting up the ends curling can you recommend anything that will help ? Or tell me what I'm doing wrong
