Well......shit. I just found this guy yesterday on Spotify. I was pumped at learning of a great blues player......and he's dead. I'm almost a decade late to this party. Looks like has a lot of albums though. Happy Listening folks.
I saw him there, but it was during the day outside at the stage on Jax Beach. Maybe it was the 2008 or 2009 Springin' The Blues Festival. Anyways, Michael Burks sang, played guitar, played bass, played drums, and played keyboards in the same amazing set! I guess that's why they used to call him Michael " Ironman" Burks.
RIP to this great blues legend. Gone way too young.
