Can you explain how tax plays in the whole investing scenario in Australia? Maybe a future video diving into the topic?

A con is that dividends are typically taxed higher (income) than a sale of a growth share (discounted capital gain). High dividend portfolios are great if you are retired and just want the cash.
Also, never rely on just dividends on a handful of holdings if retired. On a bad year, you'll find your dividends yeilds very sparse.

Why do so many dividend stocks get killed for share price? You would think dividend stocks would do a little better. Case in point: $3M.

Straight up, investing with the help of a financial advisor set me up for life with about $1.6m in stock portfolio roi. I max out my 401k and have few properties. I worked hard everyday as a teacher for 32 years, and my salary was over 100k annually. But if it wasn't for 2020 covid lockdown, I wouldn't have supplemented my income with stocks and alternative investments.

@@Marquis-9 I require precise market trajectory information at this point, the erosion of my reserves due to inflation seems to bother me, mind with the info of your advisor please?

Katherine Nance Dietz is my FA. Just google the name and you’d find necessary deets. To be honest, I almost didn't buy the idea of letting someone handle growing my finance, but so glad I did.

Thanks for the video. I just wanted to know why you focusing on growth investments more because you're "young" rather than dividend investments?
Earlier in the video you mentioned that dividend investments generally perform better in the long term.

Dividends received are taxed like any other income, so it can be more tax efficient to focus on growth investments rather than dividend focused if you're in a higher income bracket. Franking credits will offset this slightly, but not all dividend investments are 100% franked. Once you move into later parts of life + retirement, that's where dividend investments will shine.

@@raymondla I see thanks for your wise answer. I'm assuming that means depending on the bracket, the growth investments are still good despite capital gains tax
