I remember a story where a tau came on a diplomatic mission with some humans and they were absolutely horrified by the servitors, but the human was confused because servitors are so normalized
14:47 word of advice, do not insult or attack a tech-priest unless you want to end up a servitor. Just smile, nod and keep your head down and mouth shut. In one story, an heir of an Imperial noble family ended up a servitor when he insulted the Machine God. Even his family were powerless to prevent his sad fate.
To clarify, Noctis was NOT saying that he went to a slaughterhouse and saw people being turned into chicken nuggets. He was saying that he's never eaten real meat before, but his father took him to a slaughterhouse when he was younger and he saw what happened there, which was eerily similar to how the Mechanicus of processes humans into Servitors. That being said, corpse starch IS a thing, but that's less 'you're eating people' and more 'This is recycled shit, trash, and sewage that has been rendered fit for human consumption and contains the bare minimum to keep you from falling over dead from starvation. It tastes worse than it sounds, and there may be dead bodies mixed in, possibly of the human variety, and some of them might be your deceased relatives. We don't know, we don't care. Eat it or give it to someone else and let yourself starve to death. Again, we don't care. NEXT!'
There is a planet that is legendary in the Imperial Guard as a Paradise for wounded and PTSD'D. This planet is the largest manufacturer of Combat Servitors.
If you want a change of pace, I recommend you start looking into Commisar Ciaphas Cain, the God-Emperor's greatest mortal champion and the one of the biggest sources of comedy in the 40k universe next to the Orks, Trazyn the Infinite, and the decades of memes. If you're interested, I recommend this video on Cain by one of the greatest sources of Warhammer lore for newcomers, PancreasNoWork: ruclips.net/video/qM_xieoou98/видео.htmlsi=kv_8uIMzpxHxmijd
