Good Morning Renea. Thank you for sharing. How to freeze your squash. Without blanching them. This little hydrator is really helping you out. Still so glad you received it. You deserved it. You have a wonderful day.
I've got a bunch of crooked neck squash to freeze. Love your "twins". :)
Great idea! Thanks for the demo! They don't freeze well when you blanch them....too watery!
Thank you , this is great . I have learned so much from you.👍🏻
Hi Renea!!! Its August already!!! I enjoyed the video today. Good way to do the squashs. Have a wonderful day. A fan&friend. DiDi
Awesome, Renea! Thanks! You are a walking, talking wealth of homestead knowledge!
Food vac bags are really great i have seen them on qvc but so much better when Rene's demonstrates. Its more to what today's people want. The. Real show no actors just the mum over the road. The food vac bags are so practical for freezing batches of mashed potatoes and left overs. And homemade pies well done renea hope you get more gadget's to test.🍱🍜🍘🍲🍪👩🌹
Oh good! I'm glad I'm not the only one who freezes without blanching every time. I've never had any issues doing it this way as long as I use them up in a reasonable time. That's one heck of a vacuum sealer! BTW, congrats on the sub count! Wow! Well deserved!
Thank you.
Awesome tip! I've never frozen THEN did the food saver. I'm going to try this! Looks like it will work much better than the blobs I have!! Blessings from NE Missouri and thank you for the apron tie! LOL!
Thank you! We just had squash given to us, now we know what to do!
I just love those !!!!
Thank you!!!
I have a food saver love it . Will do this
Thank you. Great information. Greg Chaney in coastal N.C

Another great video. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, I will be doing it this way.
Great tips! Thank you! ☺️
You are a great teacher! Thanks to you, I’m going to start dehydrating my fruits and veggies. Would you mind telling me the name of the song that’s played in your intro? That music moves me.
Awesome ... wonderful tips. I have some now that I need to preserved ... gonna be using your way. tfs
Hi Renea, I have always found frozen squash to be mushy, too soft after defrosting and not able to use it like I would it had not been frozen. Your thoughts on this?
I'll have to try that.
I love your channel. You are very sweet! Tfs
Thanks for the great video! I've been slicing and blanching my zucchini and yellow squash for years and it's always too watery when thawed for cooking. Can you tell me what the texture is like after using this method?
They do loose some of the firm texture but they are not too mushy.
@@LittleVillageHomestead Thank you!
Hi Renea, I'm wondering why the squash needs to be blanched if you're going to freeze it for longer than 3-4 months?
Same question here! 🙂
It kills the enzymes that start to deteriorate the food.
You have been so awesome
Do you thaw them when you cook them later, or just cook from frozen? I've tried to thaw zucchini and it just turns to mush.
Question : By 'flash freeze' do you mean just put them in the regular freezer until frozen or is there another device for that?
What do they look like when you thaw them out
What seasonings do you use for grilling them?
How long do u flash freeze then
Put in water and freeze
How do you grill them?do you grill them frozen?
Do you cook frozen foods?
And I've got Patty Pan squash coming out of my ears. I've about run out of "friends".
What brand of plastic bags do you use?
Zip Lock
