Thanks for posting this! It's interesting to see how this skit has evolved through their career and it's great to see one if not their first time doing this skit on film.
@@youareababoonandiamnot4317 They did this skit once in a movie with Joe DiRita playing the part of the third stooge. DiRita, in my opinion, didn't bring the depth or the energy to the part that Curly did.
Curly: GIVE ME A FISH CAKE DADDYYYYYY!!!!!! ASTHROW KNIVES Moe: ASTHROW KNIVES? Curly: Yooks Moe: That's a knife which you gonna pitch it? Curly: That's a knife which I'm gonna chuck it!!!!! Moe: Oh, boy
This one is better because it was before he had his series of strokes starting in early 1945, so he was his old self and had his energy which he was missing in Three Little Pirates.
@@larryk1313 I don't know how you can say that, seeing as how Curly was very ill by this point, and would suffer his career ending stroke on the final day of filming their next short, Half Wits Holiday.
"The maha!"
"Ah ha."
"YAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
That part cracks me up.
I don't care how many times I've seen the Three Stooges -- and it's a lot now. They still crack me up EVERY time!!!
Me too! Now we're able to find lost treasures like that one. Sweeeeeeet!!!
Great to see Curly doing this kind of skit in full health!

Liked this version better than originally. Yes you can tell Curly was in good health simply by his voice.
wayne-brock-That's because Curly had started drinking heavily only the year before, so yes, he would have been in good health at the time.
@@kevinmiller6380 yes he didnt start slowing down until around idiots deluxe in 45

JUST ONE OF CURLY'S BEST, ALSO WHEN CURLY SHAVES SOME ICE!!! M.O'B

I just bought this movie on eBay! Basically, I can now say that my Three Stooges Collection is now officially complete.
Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk, nyuk. 😆😆😆😆😆😆
@@kevinmiller6380 Okay, back then, it wasn't FULLY complete, but with "Stop, Look and Laugh," the Columbia Collection is complete.
The peak of the Stooges career!
0:34 So that's a Maharajah 😂😂😂😂😂
Aha?
Even before Curly passed away, they still made this gag work!
I don't get it, how would they make it work after he passed away? Not being a smartass, but a lot of people know waaaay more about these guys than me

I've never seen this clip or this movie. This is fucking amazing. Curly was in his prime here.
he sounded like a ninja throwing those knifes!

love this skit
This is a much better version than Three Little Pirates.
I kinda miss Curly saying "I fall down!" and "Ah, shut up, I don't have to!", though.
Jeff Grossman I think each one is good. They're two different parts of the gag.

That's not curly's fault he was sick during that 3 little pirates It was very hard for him to be in character but he did his best
This scene cracks me up 😂😂😂
3 of the funniest F'ing guys ever.
New too me too.
I will be at the house is a good weekend too so I don't think I'll
Love this skit! BTW, it's spelled r-h-y-t-h-m.
The bathroom for a while now but I'll get back with you and seeing if you
Do I see Rudy Valle sitting there in this scene?
Yes. He also went on to play a villain in the old Batman TV series, Lord Marmaduke Fogg, who used his 'Pipe Of Fog' to escape capture.
I didn't know about this but they definitely copied this into one of their shorts
Ya ha

Curly: I fall down.
The original one is funnier but this was funny too
The version in " Three Little Pirates" was better, IMHO.
agree... partly because of the skit itself, and partly because of "over there by the wall...." "what wall" "put the glasses back on"
