A headcanon i have for why this boss music is very upbeat may be because, after fighting so many bosses in the past games, Mario & Luigi see the bosses more like an Average Tuesday at this point, so the boss theme is not the boss's theme, and rather, the Mario Bros's theme because a thing is for sure, nothing can stop the brothers at this point.
@@ReturnoftheNormalPerson I mean every boss theme in this series is upbeat lol. But the vibe I get from both this theme and the miniboss theme pretty much lines up with what you said. It overall sounds more triumphant because Mario and Luigi have been through this time and time again. They're going to win, it's just a given with veterans of battle like them. But you still have plenty of moments in the song giving those sinister vibes that remind you yeah this isn't anything new for the bros but you're still fighting a boss, more often than not one they've never faced before. They could still lose, but they're both together taking this on and when they are they're practically unstoppable. And of course, I LOVE THIS TRIUMPHANT BOSS THEME!!
@vladi3862 I don't have to play the game to like a soundtrack. Guess what? I've never played Dream Team myself either and I think it has the best boss track of all M&L games. People can have opinions yk. And soundtracks aren't something I have to experience first-hand to have one.
I choose to believe the decision to let someone other than yoko handle the music was deliberate, as a way to reflect how the game takes place in an entirely different world than the one we’ve come to know from past installments, and using the music to convey that is actually a pretty dang good way to do so without interfering with gameplay
i dont think theres another game that had their music grow on me so much. at the beggining this song was kinda mid for me, but now? imma be honest its up there with never let up or the marvelous duo and these are just P E A K
This one is so bizarre, but I love it. Would have never pegged it as a boss theme, which is why it somehow works. The closest thing that comes to mind is something in Miitopia
I feel like it’s supposed to represent the inseparable bond that Mario and Luigi have as they are taking down the biggest and baddest of enemies. I’d say it’s better than every other Mario and Luigi boss theme, ESPECIALLY Tough Guy Alert.
i’ve only played until rumbla island so don’t take what i say seriously but i think the game portrays the vibe as fun and adventurous whilst showing the bro synergy with mario and luigi meanwhile the previous games were portraying more of a vibe that they need to save the world otherwise it’s doomed and pressuring the bros to trouble thus making it more intense
At first i thought this was an odd choice for an boss theme. It lacks the seriousness the other boss themes of the series had. But after i heard it a few times and continued playing i think it really fits this game especially. I feel like brothership is a lot more wacky and whimsical than the other games (which could be pretty serious from time to time) and this Theme perfectly encapsulates the colorful Fun this new adventure in this new world has to offer. It wouldn't have worked as a Boss Theme in the other Games but for this game it's absolutely amazing.
I started with Superstar Saga on GBA, and played all the games on release since then, and this is slowly becoming one of my favorite Boss themes in the serie.
Idk what yall smoking saying this theme is decent at best, never in my life have i vibed so hard with a theme aside from "Never Let Up" Hideki Sakamoto commited ARSON in the kitchen.
this one seems pretty polarizing... i find myself in the "love it" crowd. something about it just perfectly suits the pace of this game's bosses. well, actually, it's pretty ill fitting for the last couple of bosses that use it, but i consider that a problem with the lack of other boss themes, not anything to do with this boss theme itself.

if only the fight against zokket had another ost than this one...
YES that’s exactly what I was thinking while fighting him. This doesn’t fit him at all, and it kind of gives it away that there’s more after that.
in fact I was expecting appropriate music like the old Mario and Luigi which is a little disappointing
@@darcciad look at me in the eye and tell me if Dark Star/Fawful's fights playing the goofy ahh tough guy alert in the original is anything close to appropriate
The song still really sounds upbeat and tense, which is perfect atmosphere for any M&L boss battle really
I just consider this to be the bros theme and not the bosses' theme
Luigi: Leave it to me!
Glohm Bowser: You sure about that?
This game was everything I had ever wanted, it has its flaws but nearly all of them feel like nitpicks to me (selecting luigi's options in the menu with A, luigi now jumping and traversing on his own, the timing being more generous) everything else about the game I just loved, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish, just like all the others. And of course, I LOVE THIS TRIUMPHANT BOSS THEME!!
Am I the only one who actually likes this theme?
no
Nope. Second best boss theme in the series.
No, it's good. It just grows on most people. You watch.
@@thewolfgabe3656 Trust me, you're not. It's an awesome song and boss theme.
Although the midboss theme sounds more suitable for actual boss fight, I find this more catchy than midboss theme@@totallynormalclonewarsfan
Controvercial oppinion
This is the best boss theme in the entire series
It doesn't even sound like a Boss theme... worst theme imo.
@clipmaster6941you clearly haven't fought any boss in brothership
@vladi3862 well actually,i have finished the game
@mixtheyeast not you
@vladi3862 I don't have to play the game to like a soundtrack. Guess what? I've never played Dream Team myself either and I think it has the best boss track of all M&L games.
People can have opinions yk. And soundtracks aren't something I have to experience first-hand to have one.
In a first, series-composer Yoko Shimomura did not compose this song or any of this game's soundtrack. 😢
That's very disappointing to hear ngl....
So what? Sure, that's a little sad, but the soundtrack is still genuinely amazing. New isn't always bad.
@@profster_the_great definitely true, but man Yoko is just what does it for me, her music is just that good
I choose to believe the decision to let someone other than yoko handle the music was deliberate, as a way to reflect how the game takes place in an entirely different world than the one we’ve come to know from past installments, and using the music to convey that is actually a pretty dang good way to do so without interfering with gameplay
@@sonicgamer999- Personally, I think it's busyness for Yoko. She's probably very focused on KH4.
Shoutout to the fourth lighthouse boss for being one of the best and most unique bosses in the entire series! The fight was absolutely wild!
Yes…confuse the non believers…
A boss that hard before the final area of the game was criminal. Glad I had some 🍄
Ikr? Those Zokket minions really got the better of me!
I still can't believe Junker is back from Bowser's inside story 🙏🙏🙏😭
Oh my goodness, that boss was incredible! Definitely one of the greatest in the series!
i dont think theres another game that had their music grow on me so much. at the beggining this song was kinda mid for me, but now? imma be honest its up there with never let up or the marvelous duo and these are just P E A K
We are making the Brotherly Bond even stronger with this one!! 🔥❄️🗿🗿❤️💚
Luigi on his way to bypass gojo's infinity with luigi logic
Prob my favorite boss theme in the series. In love with the OST so far!
Its because its Mario and luigi's Boss theme
@@mobgabriel1767 I like that!
i’ve only played until rumbla island so don’t take what i say seriously but
i think the game portrays the vibe as fun and adventurous whilst showing the bro synergy with mario and luigi
meanwhile the previous games were portraying more of a vibe that they need to save the world otherwise it’s doomed and pressuring the bros to trouble thus making it more intense
Except when the Glohm residents start to take over…
Can’t count how many times ive heard this in the glohm fights, now its stuck in my head
I love this theme, its just so good.
Love this song so much! Can’t listen to it and not bop my head and smile
Luigi Logic be like: *"Legalize nuclear bombs"*
Anyone else hear the TTYD leitmotif around 0:58? Y'know, the three-note dooo doo-dooo you hear in that game's intro?
I do, actually. Though it might be a coincidence.
@almondjoy4938 it's definitely a coincidence but I thought it'd be cool to point out.
1:09 is the best part of this song
It’s a motif right? I feel like this part is in another one of this game’s songs
Yep it’s from “Island Connected!”, the one that plays when we connect an island to Shipshape Island
aka Leave it to Luigi and his logic theme
I started with Superstar Saga on GBA, and played all the games on release since then, and this is slowly becoming one of my favorite Boss themes in the serie.
Idk what yall smoking saying this theme is decent at best, never in my life have i vibed so hard with a theme aside from "Never Let Up"
Hideki Sakamoto commited ARSON in the kitchen.
this one seems pretty polarizing... i find myself in the "love it" crowd. something about it just perfectly suits the pace of this game's bosses. well, actually, it's pretty ill fitting for the last couple of bosses that use it, but i consider that a problem with the lack of other boss themes, not anything to do with this boss theme itself.
