In all honesty I predicted the release of an M&L RPG 6 for a while. Mostly due to Nintendo still owning the series and it's previous games like Superstar Saga getting Virtual Console releases even after the so called hiatus. Nintendo never lost the rights to M&L. I don't know why people though the series died in the first place. Also this is probably going to be the first M&L game to be able to be played on the big screen. It's good to remember the Switch isn't just the successor to the 3DS but the Wii-U as well. It's a hybrid console that can be played on the big screen. If you can play M&L 6 on the TV that would be making great history. So well here I am to say. I told you so. None of you believed me but M&L RPG 6 is now real. I called it.
This is literally the most beautiful way to end the Mario and Luigi series (excluding remakes) 1:20 is so freaking beautiful and definitely was the single best of this song and it's the climax while starting from 1:09 building the tension. Bowser and Paper Bowser combining forces to become Shiny RoboBowser is genius and while people do complain it's definitely the worst one in the series, it genuinely had a beautiful soundtrack!

That piano really sets the mood of this song. The deep low keys of it really shows that you're in the middle of an epic battle. This is why I love the Mario and Luigi 'Final Battle' Themes SO MUCH!

This game really went from light hearted boss themes even for Mario & Luigi to... 'I'm gonna end the entire story of paperboy over there just to make sure you three are dead for good!' and the song portrays the swerve perfectly.
I think its about enough time i keep on praising m&l bis because there is flaws with it but the theme is definitely more better in that game (not saying that this isnt a bop) just because of the emotions and the instrumentals conveying the true horror of the situation.
This series was so amazing, it's really sad it's gone. I hope Nintendo could hire a new studio and get it back, but let's be real, it'll never be the same, even if it happened. But I'm sure that the memories of this franchise will forever stay as one of the best video game franchises. R.I.P. AlphaDream
I actually dream one day that Kingdom Hearts will have some optional boss where Bowser is possessed by Xehanort because of this comment. And the reward is being able to use Bowser as a Summon. I would buy Kingdom Hearts 4 just for that. And it makes sense since Square Enix has published KH games in Nintendo systems before. It could work in the same way as Skylanders SuperChargers, as some sort of Nintendo exclusive.
I picture Mario and Luigi way up high in the dark cloudy sky fighting for their lives with all the mighty power they have to save the world as they go against the biggest threat yet. Two Bowsers! But fear not as they also have the combat experienced Paper Mario to join forces with the Mario Bros. The trio is ready to give their final blow.
If all of Bowser's forms over the course of the games fused altogether you'd probably get the strongest Mario antagonist there is. I would probably call him Apocalypse Bowser

A combination of two of my favorite Mario spin-offs? Well, it wasn't all too grand but holy heck, I still spent hours on this game and loved the heck outta it! Too bad we won't be getting another Mario and Luigi game unless another company takes it over but what are the possibilities of that happening? Oh well, all we can do is enjoy the games Alphadream has given us and cherish them.
ik they are so fun you get to see characters you wouldnt see in the normal games characters have depth and *most* of the times they have a good plot and how could you forget about the music and gameplay.
As music, yes but for the rest, no. This game isn't bad but is too much close to the plot of the main games contrary to the other ones who are better (especially the third ones).
The B button: “Have mercy, please!!!” Me who used the Drill attack on bowser: “There is no mercy.” *Mashes the B button with the same level of intensity as the Legendary Starfy meteor*
I see the mario and luigi series of games as a redemption arc for bowser for that universe because at the start in superstar saga and up until he saved the kingdom with the bros in inside story did he mainly get cast aside or possessed most of the time and looked pathetic but in dream team he finally seems like he's getting better at it while working with antasma then ends up getting betrayed by him right at the end and then finally realizes he can't work with any one of these guys anymore then proceeds to finally come into his own ending off the games with paper jam. That's atleast how I like to see it as my own head canon of him coming far in his journey and finally having the balls to take on the bros fully by paper jam and not giving a damn by then with how many times in the past he had been betrayed or seen as weak by the other villains. RIP ALPHADREAM YOU WILL BE MISSED!
When I was younger I sucked at multi tasking and couldn't beat the wiggler boss fight but ive decided to play it again and ive made it all the way to the end which certainly felt quite satisfying
I'm not really a fan of most of this game's soundtrack and kinda everything else about it as a whole but holy shit, this is one of the best final boss tracks I have ever heard! Right up there with In The Final from Bowser's Inside Story honestly.
This is basically the song of the final boss of all Mario y Luigi series because the other ones were remakes so basically this was the last story and the last boss of this series. So it mades this song even more epic
the first time I completed this game, I had no clue what was going on and decided to use the trio hammer when bowser had all the armor on and then I just got annihilated when he pulled out his hammer. such great times back in 2016 (that's when the game came out in USA)

When I saw the news of the new Mario and Luigi this music played in my mind.
I love how one second is enough to tell if something has been composed by Yoko Shimomura. The intensity is unmistakable.

Although this was the weakest in term of character and plot, I still had a blast playing this game.
That part at the beginning immediately took me back to fighting Xemnas in KH2. That’s Yoko for you

For what I'm guessing is Yoko's last original Mario & Luigi composition, it was a pretty good one to go out with.
Bowser's inside story DX had quite a few original pieces composed by Yoko.
A combination of two of my favorite Mario spin-offs? Well, it wasn't all too grand but holy heck, I still spent hours on this game and loved the heck outta it! Too bad we won't be getting another Mario and Luigi game unless another company takes it over but what are the possibilities of that happening? Oh well, all we can do is enjoy the games Alphadream has given us and cherish them.
Yeah they pulled to much from sticker star like of they had characters from BIS dream team and TTYD it would have been absolutely AMAZING

I can literally hear some of “Darkness of the unknown” at the beginning. I think Yoko forgot it was a Mario & Luigi game.
I’m actually convinced that this was originally meant for Kingdom Hearts, but it never got used, so Shimomura used it in Paper Jam
The piano definitely gives off similar vibes to Darkness of the Unknown. Maybe it got altered slightly for the repurposing?

I think these games are better then the platformers .
ik they are so fun you get to see characters you wouldnt see in the normal games characters have depth and *most* of the times they have a good plot and how could you forget about the music and gameplay.

As music, yes but for the rest, no. This game isn't bad but is too much close to the plot of the main games contrary to the other ones who are better (especially the third ones).
If you listen hard enough, you'll accidentally think you're listening to a song from Kingdom Hearts

I see the mario and luigi series of games as a redemption arc for bowser for that universe because at the start in superstar saga and up until he saved the kingdom with the bros in inside story did he mainly get cast aside or possessed most of the time and looked pathetic but in dream team he finally seems like he's getting better at it while working with antasma then ends up getting betrayed by him right at the end and then finally realizes he can't work with any one of these guys anymore then proceeds to finally come into his own ending off the games with paper jam. That's atleast how I like to see it as my own head canon of him coming far in his journey and finally having the balls to take on the bros fully by paper jam and not giving a damn by then with how many times in the past he had been betrayed or seen as weak by the other villains.
RIP ALPHADREAM YOU WILL BE MISSED!

When I was younger I sucked at multi tasking and couldn't beat the wiggler boss fight but ive decided to play it again and ive made it all the way to the end which certainly felt quite satisfying
I'm not really a fan of most of this game's soundtrack and kinda everything else about it as a whole but holy shit, this is one of the best final boss tracks I have ever heard! Right up there with In The Final from Bowser's Inside Story honestly.
This is basically the song of the final boss of all Mario y Luigi series because the other ones were remakes so basically this was the last story and the last boss of this series. So it mades this song even more epic

the first time I completed this game, I had no clue what was going on and decided to use the trio hammer when bowser had all the armor on and then I just got annihilated when he pulled out his hammer. such great times back in 2016 (that's when the game came out in USA)

Paper jam may of been the worst ending you could have given a series but this music is so good
Dream Team's Ending was anticlimactic as well. Also, Bowser's betrayal came out of nowhere in my opinion.

Nintendo literally stripped any unique character for paper mario, I feel like what they had to work with was, "it's the paper characters with their real life counterpart" instead of what the devs would have most likely wanted it to be , "it's this series unique characters with this other series unique characters"
