@@JoseOrquinMora I haven't played the game, only seen bits and clips, but from the look of it... I'd say not, he would've still been barely outlasted by a small margin, but he would've made it far, FAR easier for Mario and Luigi to get to Zokket and beat him. After all, it looked like Bowser didn't have his full army with him because it was an air battle, and a good chunk of his army is ground only. Like, I don't know how para- enemies work, but overall, it looks like his supply of those types of troops is more limited than the rest. Even if the battle was brought to the groud, I doubt that Bowser would bring many group troops to an air battle, it would only weight the airship down. Overall, he would've done some BIG damage, and potentially allowed a critical opening for the bros to use, but he wouldn't have solo-ed Zokket. Honestly though, it's not Bowser's fault, the plumbers are ground fighters, even in the air, they need some sort of platform to use, so it wouldn't make much sense for him to spend so much resources and time in air troops when he can just get more ground ones. That was a battle he wasn't fully prepared for... And he was still kicking ass before he decided to screw it up to attack Mario. Had ne not gotten distracted he MIGHT have won, but even then, it wasn't exactly an even fight. Bowser was still at a disadvantage. A small one, like, 45/55 type of deal, but still a disadvantage anyway. Or maybe he would've steamrolled everyone if he kept his head in the game. Unrelated, but from what I've seen, Bowser is more of a joke character this time around and... Yeah, I'm not sure I'm into that. We need a M&L entry where Bowser is a genuine threat the whole game, regardless of who he's fighting... (And possibly a port of Bowser's inside story, or a new game where you control Bowser... Heck. But in all honesty, we couldn't fault Bowser's logic in here, since most of the time, whenever the plumbers are involved with whatever his business is, it usually resulted in Bowser's plan being ruined, so by Bowser's logic, Zokket is a problem, yes; but Mario is an even bigger and worse problem.

[[Spoilers]] I really like Bowser's portrayal in this game. As much as I love Bowser in the other Mario RPGs, he often feels like too much of a goober idiot to be capable of some of the stuff Bowser has done in mainline (especially Galaxy) when he isn't the main villain (or protagonist in BIS's case). But this showing of the character feels like he's taken pretty seriously as a threat while still being silly, all while not even being the main villain. It's also nice to see his softer side given quite a bit of emphasis this time around with his minions, especially his son and surprisingly Starlow to an extent, though it makes sense after BIS. As funny and cool as it is when he quickly teams up with Mario in some of the other RPGs, I like that he never really feels like he's on anyone's side but his own while still being an active player, it gives the conflict of the story another layer besides Team Good Guy vs. Team Bad Guy. Also helps that he has 2 areas and a cool boss fight all to himself. Even when he gets tricked and used by Zokket, they needed 4 lighthouses worth of Glohm to corrupt him and I don't think I need to defend him getting bitchslapped by Weeping Reclusa, since he seems to be close to if not literally invincible on the outside and causes people to pass out just from his presence. All in all, this portrayal of Bowser feels like the perfect mixture of his serious and goofy portrayals, this feels like a main villain Bowser role in a game where he isn't the main villain and I really like that.
i love how bowser wants to take over a world he just arrived into, in the middle of a battle and then tries killing mario and luigi at the same time. bowser sure can be crazy! i also like how bowser immediately was causing chaos again at the ending XD he needs to chill, but bowser is bowser. a loveable villain to me
(Spoiler-Filled Comment Warning, though I don't know why you're here if you cared about Spoilers) (Second Spoilers, part of this is just me geeking out over how cool Bowser is in this game, and I just ramble on basically just explaining the cutscenes) (Third Spoiler, LONG COMMENT WARNING) I love how much of a nuisance Bowser is to the game's primary antagonists, not just to Mario and Luigi. He appears in Concordia, alongside at the very least a large portion of the invading force he had during the beginning cutscene, the rest being scattered across the Brrrning and Gulchrock Seas. Immediately he establishes a base, as well as dominance over the latter mentioned ocean. Eventually, he happens across Zokket. Stick two Big Villains in one world, pretty soon there'll only be one. Zokket's largely been steamrolling the world by this point, Concordia having little to no defenses against his abilities. He faced no resistance. Then the Great Conductor brought Mario and Luigi, plus everyone else to Concordia, and suddenly there was resistance. Suddenly Zokket's plans met a roadblock. A common occurrence with Zokket is his staunch refusal to remember anyone's names, shown repeatedly with the Extension Corps and a few times with Mario and Luigi, and made clear with his statement at 5:59. So the fact that Zokket, literally 14 seconds later, at 6:13, mentions Bowser by name, correctly... Bowser's been a pretty big problem for his plans, a "Constant Thorn in his side" as he puts it. It's not even a slip up on his part, considering he immediately messes up on Mario and Luigi's names just seconds later. Not only that, but the Extension Corps had been trying to beat Mario and Luigi for a lot of the game at this point, or at the very least impede their efforts enough so they wouldn't interfere with Zokket's plan, only to fail every step of the way. Bowser on the other hand, after spotting them on accident in the middle of a skirmish between his army and Zokket's, proceeded to do more to sabotage them in like half a minute than the Extension Corps DO over the course of the entire game up until this point. The Extension Corps themselves, in an attempt to get stop Bowser from being a problem, decided to kidnap Junior as leverage to keep Bowser away. They had to wait until Mario and Luigi had beaten Bowser to even attempt at kidnapping, which means that despite being confident in their own abilities (Ten does at least), they were well aware that in a straight fight they would be destroyed by Bowser. And in the end the leverage didn't even work, Bowser immediately went rampaging after them, all the way to the top of Zokket's fortress and effortlessly stomping Zokket's forces to do so. If he hadn't been blasted by the combined forces of four Glohm powered Lighthouses (Zokket himself refused to use the Glohm ray, calling it a half measure and saying it wouldn't work), Zokket may have had a serious problem, and major beef with the Extension Corps for not only bringing his biggest problem right to his doorstep but making him very angry. Moving on from Zokket to the game's actual Big Bag, Reclusa. Reclusa doesn't have much interaction with Bowser up until the end, which is unfortunate because I would've loved to see them talking to one another. Reclusa has Mario and Luigi on the ropes, steadily overwhelming them until attempting to finally finish them off, nearly doing so until BAM. Bowser appears and completely destroys the small army Reclusa summoned. It's not as grand as what he does to Zokket's forces, but it's cool nonetheless. I'd also like to take this time to point out the construction and capability of that dang Airship that came with Bowser, that thing outright TANKED a blast from Zokket's fortress (4:24 to 4:34) and was completely fine, given that it appeared seconds later to shoot cannonballs at Shipshape. It took Reclusa-Controlled Solitree hitting it with Glohm energy to begin to take it down and a backhand to send it and Bowser flying, a GIANT, MAGICAL TREE. And finally I want to bring up, as a kind of honorary mention. On OffandOn Island, once you're able to go into the area with people in it, a few people have interesting things to say regarding Bowser. The Koopa Troop obviously have praise for their King, and the Concordians of this island speak of being left in awe by his presence, but there's one curious elderly folk in the back who has quite the truth to tell. OffandOn Island is a difficult place to live, the actual area itself probably relying on outside influences to make life easier while Concordia was still connected, but on it's own, it's a difficult place to live. The island can barely support life, not many plants can grow, and most of the natural creatures there are stone. The only sign of "edible" food there are the turnips. All this hardship of course is made much more difficult once Concordia was split and Zokket's forces invaded, they were in a pretty rough spot. Then Bowser's army show up and chased off Zokket's, and one of the first things they did was start distributing food to them, which is pretty heartwarming. And while they do have a guy locked up, it's because he was stealing some of that food. I love Bowser in this game.
