Minor misconception, but Ragnar Lothbrok wasn't directly killed by the king of northumbria. He was captured and then thrown into a pit of snakes to die in agony. His treatment, along with the fact that he died outside of battle, thus no valhalla, was undoubtly insulting to his sons. Hence the immediate mass invasion.
actually is's a misconception that you had to die in battle to go to Valhalla as long as you had a figthing spirit you were good. and even if you didn't go to Valhalla it wasn't that big of a deal it wasn't like the christian faith where there was a good place and a bad place.
Make a tips and tricks video on how you handle succession, cheese out certain things, etc. I'm fairly new to the game but I have done quite a few playthroughs so far and I am not sure how to get around things like succession without losing lands without having to expand endlessly, how to handle catholic holy wars against you, tribal v feudal, etc.

in my game, he took over part of scotland and wad elected king of alba, converted culture to pictish forming pictland
