the fuel pumps have a plastic tag ,green or pink or grey .what is the meaning of each color?
depending on the date on mine is gray 2001 model, with green is 2001 second half to 2003.
I have a saxo who do not well, looks like the pump, normally it gets on pressure by run for some seconds after contact is on, now it does a fraction of
a second and sometimes I loos all power and the engine stops, restarting it does cure, and it run oke again, I hear this pump can do make things strange. after the test for pollution where the tester did let the motor run on higher rpm, I did get ride home and the engine has no power, nothing but did run, some later it stops, and I did restart and everything was well again. next day the same, running, then stops and restart cure. I also think about the gasoline filters can be glogged,.
If it was the pump it would have left you. Look at map sensor.
@@johnnyscarbon I have remove the fuel filter it was clogged, the fuel pump did turn on but just for 0.2 second (pressure did stay high on hose for filter), normally it is 3 a 4 seconds, needs new one. I will also look at map sensor, if the filter was not the cause. I had a car apk (roadworthness) where also excaust is measured, it was lean, I did drive away and it did have no power and engine did stall. After restartind it was normal again, this was after the test from apk station where the enge get pushed to 4000 rpm for measuring. The filter is never replaced, so it is 24 years old, I had for a longer time that on a highway I did have trouble to get past a car, special with wind on front, and it do use more fuel then normal.

@@johnnyscarbon Hi There, I have read about sensor, it,s symtoms are scary close when defective. I go check all, I have no option to diagnost the ecu, Can not read it, must go to garage for that. Yes it consumes, I thought 1 liter for every 11 km.
