But the vending machines in the salt mines do not take nickles. They take Vietnamese dong. And for those who say the salt mines would not have vending machines, what part of evil overlord do you not get?
It isn’t always about being great, and Jingles does always pint that out, eventually. Not every ship can be the fastest, or the most accurate, or have the fastest firing guns. I always found the mid tiers the most fun because the ships, even the premiums, were flawed in one way or another.
He later apologized for sinking them as the French navy kept to their promise to rather destroy their ships than let the Germans use them in WW II. Too many French sailors died for literally nothing. They had prepared sabotage on their ships from the moment on they had to capitulate. I think it was in Marseille where the Germans tried to outsmart the French and storm the ships in harbour to surprise the command there but ... nope.
I kinda like the Dunkerque. I admit that it trolls you incessantly with shocking dispersion but, every once in a while, the planets align and it gives you a perfect salvo and puts a massive smile on your face. Much love to Eddie.

I actually love mine. I feel like I am having 100K+ battles very regularly in it, but that's probably helped by the fact that it's tier 6 and the level isn't very high generally. I just love the penetration, if you catch someone out you probably smash them with these guns.
Man, that Iron Duke was trying so hard. I have to imagine right at the end there he was thinking "Okay, this looks bad, one against three, but I have this Cachalot dead to rights, that Dunkerque doesn't have much health left either, I am absolutely still in this fight OH GOD NO THE TORPEDOES SWEET BABY NIMITZ I DON'T DESERVE THIS."
Good to see the Iron Duke doing well on the opposition. I have to say the Iron Duke was my favourite ship in WoWS. If played correctly it was a monster of a ship easily taking on ships of higher tiers.
Jingles: due to the replay bug i don't know what's in the enemy team. Right after the friendly CV revealed all BBs and CLs on the minimap. Good job Jingles :)
4:50 - Anybody else notice the Dunkerque is about twice the size of the "skyscraper" in the town, and the "boats" at the docks are smaller than the secondary turrets?
All of this ship AA talk reminds me of why I took a very long ongoing break from WoWs. I was in my Alaska doing Alaska things when a T8 carrier decided he wanted me strike me. I thought to myself I got this I am in a ship famous for its AAA defence as it was designed to do this sort of thing, I pop my AAA boost consumable do the focus fire on the correct side and watch as I fail to shoot down any planes for the next 3 minutes as the carrier just rolls his face on his keyboard and kills me.
So here is another thing about WoW that bugs me: dispersion in naval gunnery tends to be greater in range than azimuth, so a salvo splash patter will tend to look like a line running along the line of fire. That's why gunnery officers used laddering and bracketing to derive target range (before radar). It's also why battleships tended to form lines parallel to each other when slugging it out, and why the sought to avoid having their T capped: when facing broadside, they not only could bring all guns to bear, but the odds of any enemy salvo getting more than a single hit were low, because the target area was only about 100 feet wide (take an eight-gun salvo: a typical pattern would be short-short-short-hit-long-long-long-long). But when enfilading or raking the target from the bow or stern, the target area is now roughly 600 feet long by 100 feet wide, and a typical salvo pattern might be short-short-hit-hit-hit-long-long. So the mechanics of WoWs make player adopt tactics diametrically opposed to those that would be adopted by actual ship's captains in the real world. The fix would be simple: make dispersion greater in range than in azimuth, as it should be. Note: When ships did have excessive lateral dispersion, it was usually the result of the gun tubes being too close together, so that the shock waves generated by the shells interfered with each other (as was the case on Italian battleships and the first generation of U.S. Treaty Cruisers). The usual--and simple--fix was installing a delay switch, so the outer guns would fire a split second before the center gun.
Add that to the LONG list of choices WG has made to make this a game and not a simulation. Radar that sees through islands, hydro that doesn't work correctly, Steel ships that burn like magnesium. The list is endless.
The DamperVan does seem to have a baked-in "Someone-Else's-Problem" field as other BBs do often ignore it. I do like it even though its guns are frustrating, but the fairly quick reload does mean it uses the patented "throw enough sh*t at the wall until something sticks" method.
And then it is the French translation of the original Dutch name of the place, when it was still Dutch, Duinkerke which changed in 1646 when the French took it from the Dutch to loose it in 1652 to the Spanish.
Talking a bit off topic. I heard a song that would certainly fit System Shock. The song is "Welcome to the machine" by Pink Floyd. That song so reminds me of that old game. Can't wait for the next video of System Shock.

The fact that the New Mexico just parked smack in the middle of a cap and then continued making questionable choices, makes me think it was a bot.
