How much yarn do we need to buy?
As I said in the video, it all depends on the size & length of your desirable skirt. Anyway, below are some references that may help you estimate how much yarn you’ll need to buy. The unit is in meters. You can find meter info on the yarn label, which is more reliable than grams, 'cuz different types of yarn weigh differently!
• Mini / Micro skirt (11-12 inches long)
S~310m; M~370m; L~430m and so on
• Knee-length skirt
S~650m; M~750m; L~850m and so on

Here is the measurements of a mini skirt
size s/xs 47 stitches
Size s/m 50 stitches (i did 10 tc and 40hdc)
Size L/xl 60-70 stitches

Your instructions are so easy to follow!!! Thank you 🥹 is there a way to add length to the top part after you’re done but before joining the first and last rows? I might’ve made mine a little too short 🤣
Hiii💞 absolutely, you can add Sc or Hdc rows on top of the waistline. It'll be crocheting in the round, by the end of end row you join the round with slip-st, C1, turn (have you crocheted in rounds before? If not I can give you some reference😉)
Also, you can actually add rows at the bottom to but it's a bit more tricky. If you'd like to try, it goes st like this: Attach between any 2 Tr-rows, C1, Hdc in same place, *C3, Hdc in the next place between 2 rows, repeat from * til end, join round in first Hdc w sl-st, C1 turn.

how long did this take to make ??
It depends on your crochet speed and which skirt's length, I think for beginner it would take about over 8-9hours for a mini skirt 🧶 for someone who is more familiar with crochet, it'd be about less than 5hours❤
What crochet hooks do you recommend? I always get hand cramps 🙈
I actually really love the Clover crochet hook (japanese brand) that you can see in this video. The grip is not soft material thou but it fits my hand real nice. The metal part is also really smooth so it's support your movement 🤩
I do need small breaks n fingers exercises, so I would recommend you do that to prevent hand cramps n our crocheters over well being ❤

@@pr1vately you can add more row on both line, on the waist you can do Hdc and the other do Tr😉

@@pr1vately okay, so you'll be working with the side of the sts which is a but lumpy and a bit different from how we do the top of the sts.
