Hey guys and welcome to todays video - I would love to know what your own thoughts are on face oils and which you use so let me know in the comments below.. Love you all x
👍 I loved The Ordinary B Oil.Now I use the Stratia Fortify Oil. Before finding your channel I'd avoided oils on my face. Now I love them including MAS Anti-Aging Oil. Please bring out a high retinal dose version. ❤
Hi Lesley.. you read my mind as we are working on a high dose option which should be out later in the year :) - I forgot about the stratia one which is a personal favourite too so thank you for the reminder. love x
@@MadAboutSkinHi Rob. I'm so excited. Put me on that wait list. Have you ever considered creating a version without retinal. Maybe with bakuchiol instead. I'd love to have all three and use my skintuition to choose which one I use in any given day. ❤
Watching this with my face freshly drenched in castor oil. Dunno about specific face oils (I only used grapeseed oil before) but I find it really helps keeping the moisture in the skin and feels soothing and nice.
Hey Rob! I just used up my 10ml haruharu wonder black rice facial oil and my god this is great! After the first aplication all the hidration is locked, skin is protected and the feeleng on the skin is to die for! It is light and fast apsorbing. I'm an oily folk too but now in (not so cold) winter I am using that one in the morning and evening and I know my skin will be soft as babys peach 😊 Sometimes when I have time I like gua sha and for that at the end of my skincare routine I'm using MAS oil and it is phenomenal! I've stock up on that one for sure, loving it ❤ Love the video tnx 🌸
I started using facial oils a few years back and it was an absolute game changer for my dry skin. I felt like I had to keep using very thick moisturisers to stop my skin feeling dry. Now I can use any moisturiser and a few drops of facial oil on top makes my skin feel amazing. TO squalane oil is my go to, as well as MAS Retinal Oil
I use the MAS facial oil every night, I put 2-3 drops mixed with the MAS moisturiser... best combo ever!! Yet I never thought of using the oil for the body! I need to try to mix some with my body lotion tomorrow. Thank you so much Rob!! 💓
I love facial oils and use them every day. My top 3 are Antipodes Rose Hip Seed and Avocado Oil. Bionoble Jojoba Oil and Biossance Vit C Rose Oil with Squaline. But i will give your oil a try as its a great idea to add retinal to oil. Great vid as always Rob 💚
❤ I use facial oils for 30 years. Started with Rosehip oil then. Now I use the Rosehip fermented oil after I asked you fermented it not fermented. Yes I had Shakespeare in my secondary school. And I just received your oil and will treat my décolleté and arms with it. ❤
I am now convinced that you can read minds! Just last week I thought oh maybe I could incorporate an oil into my winter routine but which one? 🤔 thank youuuu ❤
👍🏽 face oil is a staple in my skincare routine. I have dry sensitive skin so I use hempseed oil mixed in my moisturizer am and pm. No issues with make up, probably because of my dry skin.
I love the MAS Anti Aging oil. I first tried it because of your body/moisturizer mixing tip, I use it nightly on my whole body now. I’ve started to use it on my face on my 'no retinal' evening ( when I use a copper peptide serum instead). I leave quite a big gap of time between moisturizing and then I apply the oil- I suppose it’s technically not a ’no retinal’ evening anymore😁.Thanks for all your insights and tips, they’re so valued! Tina💓
👍Hi from Caledonia Ontario use oils daily especially rosehip and manjish glow elixir which is a combination of oils from India. Use both morning and evening with my gua sha routine. Also have just incorporated beef tallow moisturizer in my evening routine as well. Love it and my skin feels amazing. No problems in the morning with following up with my tinted sunscreen. No need for foundation skin looks nice and fresh. Enjoying the gua sha routine daily gets me ready for the day. Keep the tools in the freezer! ❤😘
👍🏼 I use a bunch of different ones. Namely a liquorice root extract oil soluble and at night a mix with castor oil, jojoba and others. Rose hip and almond I think. Now that I’m off oral isotretinoin my skin is getting oiler again so may need to rethink. 🧐
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Castor oil is my HG . I use it mixing with aloe vera gel every routine . I also like sea buckthorn oil as a mask once in a while . I have dry & aging skin .
I love oil la la and experiment's buffer jelly. I use oil lala as a serum step, and I use buffer jelly or any other oil I am trying to use up mixed in with my moisturizer. I wish someone had told me to do that years ago!
@MadAboutSkin I recommend experiment beauty as a brand, I love every single one of their products (there is 5, reusuable silicone mask, super saturated a glycerin based hydrating serum, buffer jelly, an innovative oil with a jelly texture intended for micro slugging or boosting your moisturizer, softwear, the best lip balm I've ever tried, it has water in it, and actually gets absorbed rather than just being emollient, and a plasma wash, which is a gentle yet surprisingly effective moisture depositing cleanse intended to be a single wash instead of double cleaning. The brand is founded by chemists and they are fun and remind me of krave beauty in their sustainability and innovation. I hope you check them out!
I use the Allies of Skin bakuchiol face oil as you recommended in your previous videos. Surprised you didn't include it here as a "treat yourself" option, it's got such a lovely texture on the skin and is so worth the investment! Thank you Rob🎀✨
I love love love the bakuchiol oil but the reason I didnt mention it here is I said I would keep these recommendations affordable but you are right for a treat yourself option you cant go wrong with the allies one.. love x
I just added face oils to my night regimen currently using Ordinary 100% Cold Process Rose Hip Seed Oil. I try to let it sit about 30 minutes before going to bed ❤
👍 I love face oils and I use basic 100% squalane oil which I ordered in bulk from Amazon very affordably. I use it on my face, hair, and the rest of my body also. I love love love Biossance Squalane+Vit C Rose Oil - it’s a splurge but it feels wonderful and the rose scent is delightful. I also have the Ordinary rose hip seed oil and when I run out I am definitely replacing with the fermented version.
Before Covid hit and skincare became a hobby, my routine was super simple and included oils. In the morning I used Argirilene, Kheils facial oil and sunscreen, in the evening Tret and Trilogy Rosehip oil (because I read Kate Middleton used it and let’s face it she’s GORGEOUS!). To be honest my skin looked good. These days I only use MAS retinal oil on rest nights from Tret. Have a lovely weekend ❤x
HOW did I Not know about their fermented oil?! Thank you. I Loved The Ordinary“B” oil. And if u haven’t, may I suggest ’Botanics 100 Organic Restoring Overnight Facial Oil (with rosehip & lavender)- I believe u will LOVE it! These & ofc your MAS retinal is my face & body’s Favorite.
I have just received my mad about skin order and when I have used up my other skin care, I can't wait to try your products. I have lots of oils but I never end up being consistent with them. I am bad at consistency with products anyway as I have adhd and get distracted by new products lol 😆
Yay I am so so glad it arrived and I cant wait to hear what you think to the products when you try them.. Thank you so much for your support which means so much to me. love x
👍🏽Hello 👋🏽 my friend Rob, I swear by Balancing Oil by Clove by Clover (formally Clove & Hallow). Your complexion is flawless 😍. Thank you 😊 for a great wealth of information. Cheers 😉🌷
I always use watermelon seed oil it is great for face and I also use it as treatment for my hair - leave in overnight in a cap then wash out next day…leaves hai soft and shiny.
Hello there darling! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my oils! Rosehip oil smells soooo good! A great tip to not have to wear a sunscreen: carrot oil mixed with rasberry seed oil!! I heard it from a good friend! It’s basically an ALL NATURAL SPF !!!!!!! Sooo AMAZING! I used castor oil on my face and as liver packs. Oils are sooo great - they feel oily at first on the skin and hands and then they just disappear and feel luxurious, silky and baby bottom soft afterwards. I used Squalene too from a company in Germany called Junglück. Love oils 🩷🩷🩷🩷Thanks for your great advice videos! Love to watch Bis hug Carola

👋 Use MAS face oil & every now & then I use some Vitamin E oil, not quite sure why, use for my fingers, so just pop some on my face too 🤗 xx ps. My Tik Tok MAS order came really quickly! 🤩
Hello hun, I know the tiktok shipping service they use seems really quick which is great lol but I am so happy it got there :) sending you so so much love xx
Hi Rob, I usually don't like oils, but MAS Ultimate Anti-aging Oil is so light and nice and I love it on my face, neck and body 👍🏻 And about GF, have you seen the new Medik8 Peptides Advanced MP? ❤Ciao! 😊
Yay thank you so so much hun and I am so happy its working for you.. I am actually going to the medik8 launch event next week and I cant wait to see it :) love xx
Hi, I have tried a facial oil now and again but I always seem to get some spots so I give up. I do have your one as part of the full collection but as I use A game every night is this still ok to use as well or is this retinal overdosing x
Hi Fiona, I hope all is wonderful with you :) yes you can use them together and you should be fine.. otherwise you can use the MAS on the body in a moisturiser of on more sensitive areas like the neck.. sending love x
Hi hun, it is available on the website www.madaboutskincare.com and you should be able to see the link in the description box too :) sending you lots of love xx
You need try Rio trading Rosa Mosqueta oil it’s amazing. I’ve used in and off over the years, but preferred taking the capsules which were brilliant but they stop doing them.
I have used the MaS retinal, however the MaS multi active serum seems to have oil as well? Or am I wrong and its something else that gives it that wonderful hydration
Hi hun, it does have some hydrating components but because of the formulation its not really the same as an oil though your right it gives a lot of the same results which is great :) love xx
Hey Hun.. thank you so much for your kind words and you can use it with the ordinary so long as you don't have sensitive skin as a complimentary facial oil.. love x
I can't anymore without oil during day and night. It seals my whole korean skincare and it is my last step: 3-4 drops of facial oil with 8-10 drops of hyaluron Acid. Oil like wird Rose facial oil. Or grapeseed facial oil. Or just plane almond oil what I use only few drops in my palm mixed with water and than apply it in wet hair before hairdrayer
Ahaha… I use oil in an entirely different way… I use tret so I put oil on first thing in the morning and massage in for a minute.. I read once that is the best form of gentle exfoliation for any peeling skin… and you can actually feel it removing the dead layer of skin… I then feed the cat, make tea, do all the morning things 😊 and rinse it off in the shower using a cloth. I used to use the b-oil … trying the marafula… but the fermented rose seed is in my sights now…
I love oils, my favourite is squalane for my face plus sweet almond around my eyes and castor oil on my neck. I haven’t tried your oil yet but it sounds fabulous, I use g & g aGame20 every night, would adding your oil that also contains retinal be too much retinal? xx
Hi hun, I hope all is wonderful with you.. no I think it would be fine to use alongside the G&G as one as you dont have sensitive skin :) I also love the ordinary one too.. sending love xx
Healed a breakout from skin 1004 centella products with castor oil it has been the only thing that stops everything and anything. When my skin cries from all the stuff im trying on castor oil is the best.

So informative and helpful! Thank you. You, sir, are the Professor of Skincare! 😊

I have tried many, but I always stop out of fear of Acne 😢.
I know what you mean and I have had that fear too for sure.. love x
Also don’t use it as a moisturizer. I see and hear so many do that oils lock in moisture not moisturiing
Oh gosh yes I have heard that too.. use it to elevate your moisturiser or lock things in but its not a moisturiser substitute... love x
