Micro gen Xennials, born in 1981 are 43 Millennials, born 1982 are 42 So, the oldest Millennial is 42. As between every major generation, there's a year gap where the micro-gens come into existence.

It all depends on who is defining the bounds of the generations. One of the more popular definitions of GenX is 1965 (i'm 1/65, so I guess that makes me a fossil?) to 1985. If we start millennials at 1980, and generations are typically in 20 year spans, that would put X from 1960-1980. Which from every definition I have seen '64 is still considered a boomer. I think that's because WW2 ended in 45, so there is the 5 year offset.
