An Interview with Pastor Gary Hamrick

Pastor Gary Hamrick has been in full-time ministry since 1987 as a youth pastor. In 1991, he began pastoring Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg, VA when all 18 charter members asked him to become the first pastor of this new, start-up church. Today, Cornerstone is the church home to several thousand weekly worshipers, and it is Pastor Gary’s desire to equip them through the teaching of God’s Word, relating the truth of the Bible to everyday life in practical, relevant, and often humorous ways. Pastor Gary completed a Bachelor of Biblical Studies, and was ordained by Pastor Chuck Smith and the Calvary Chapel Association. He is on the Advisory Board for The Museum of the Bible in Washington D.C. He also serves as the Chief Chaplain for the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. His radio broadcast “Cornerstone Connection” can be heard weekdays across the country in 27 states and the District of Columbia.

your right as you grow older you get worn down from the pressure and trials of this life, i am 63 and have had enough of everything, nowadays everything takes effort and i have grown very weary including my ministry at a local university i have noticed that it takes more effort then it once did but God gives us strength to go on until he returns for us in the rapture, God bless all and push on a little longer for Christ

I totally agree with Gary Hamrick's comments. Not all Churches but some, are just Not preaching about the return of Christ Jesus.The Church I go to hasn't mentioned it, I learn more by Watching the teachings of Pastor Gary and other Preachers. Truly grateful for these teachings ...Thank you.....

I really like this pastor I listen to his sermons before going to sleep he has a soft voice and he is clear concise and he is informative and he is blessed with truth in Gods Word and in prophecy! 👍I’m ready to go home even though I’m in a new chapter of life but I’ve wanted to go home for 15 yrs and now I cry to be able to go home to be with my Lord Jesus! Pastor Gary is my Pastor. Wish he had a physical church here in Allen TX, but until then I will listen to him online. He’s one of the best Bible teachers I listen to, and his teachings have blessed my life and drawn me closer to the Lord! 🙏

I've had the privilege of attending his church for the last 6 months or so. Thus far I have found him to be incredibly biblically sound and appreciate his expository preaching style. On Sundays we go chapter by chapter through the Bible and Wednesdays we go verse by verse. He does not shy away from difficult passages. Cornerstone Chapel thus far has been a huge blessing in my life.

Love this! Can't wait to be Raptured but sometimes I wonder if I'm depressed wishing our Lord would take me out of here? I'm healthy and feel guilty for praying for this to happen soon and I'm embarrassed to mention how I feel to non believers who will think I'm nuts? I find it hard to make long term plans cause I assume I'll be gone soon.

The biggest problem in the church today is most churches teach replacement theology and works salvation. Every post tribber pre wrather seventh day Adventist preterist and amillenniast follow replacement theology and works salvation.

But all churches don't teach replacement theology and works salvation yours doesn't. I break it down to if you put the church in any part of daniels 70th week you are following replacement theology
Pre wrathers will tell you they don't follow replacement theology yet they put the church through 3/4 of daniels 70th week
Post tribbers seventh day Adventist and amillenniast put the church through the seals and trumpets but say the seventh trumpet is the second coming problem with that is the seventh trumpet sounds at mid trib rev 11 15 and jesus doesn't return to earth till all 21 judgments have been cast down
Now this is what fascinates me pre wrathers say the 6th seal is mathew 24 29 31 and they will quote the sun is turned to darkness and moon not give its light. But when the 6th seal is broken it says the sun becomes black as sack cloth and moon blood red. This can only happen with volcanos and earthquakes
But at the second coming there is no need for the sun cause jesus is the light of the world and if the sun is darkened the moon con not reflect the suns light where in rev 6 the sun is still giving its light and the moon is still reflecting the suns light so the 6th seal and mathew 24 29 31 cant be the same event

But they also dont descern the difference between israel and the church. They don't descern the difference between church saints tribulation saints.
And they don't understand the purpose of daniels 70th week because they follow replacement theology
If I were to ask you how the earth gets repopulated during the millennial kingdom if the rapture occurs before daniels 70th week begins. What would you say?
Do unsaved people enter into the millennial kingdom?
Can people who have glorified bodies be given in marriage and bare children?

The church I attend belongs to a larger ministry. In that ministry, Biblical end-time prophesy is hardly ever taught. The doctrine of ‘The Rapture’ is most certainly never mentioned. Indeed this subject has in the past been explained away by the ‘belief’ that the ‘end-time’ prophesies of Daniel refer to the fall of Jerusalem and the desecration of the temple in AD 70, and the words of Jesus also refer to this event; and not a ‘removal’ from the Earth of all believers. I am confused, to say the least, by this as there is in my opinion compelling evidence for a ‘Rapture’; this being taught by so many legitimate and well respected ministries throughout the world. Our church’s overwhelming focus is upon evangelism and that of local social action. Nothing wrong with that; however should there not be a balance of prophetic teaching, particularly in light of the fact that so many Christians are experiencing considerable anxiety over recent global events? Myself included.
I know I should approach our pastor over this matter, but I am sure he is so ‘marinaded’ in the teachings of the highly respected founder(s) of the church movement (who have recently become quite old have stepped down from active participation, handing over the ‘mantle’ as it were to younger colleagues), that he will merely mirror that teaching.

I think you should think of the present and not worry about the future. I have been hearing about the rapture for over 30 years and it has not happened and it probably will not happen for another 50 years.

Only those who die for their witness to Jesus and God's Word, will make the first resurrection. The rest of the dead do not come back to life, including borderline Christians, until after the 1000-yeas of kingdom rule, as Revelation 20 says, and Revelation 22 says we cannot change a single thing in Revelation without receiving the plagues of Revelation. The church is in apostacy and cannot learn the truth because no truth originates from a lie.
Thanks Ricky, Revelation says the first resurrection and the second death. The First resurrection has several section Christ, The Rapture, and The Resurrection of Tribulation saints, every one who is part of the second death will be Judged. This will not include any christians. Why do you think "Only those who die for their witness to Jesus and God's Word, will make the first resurrection."? Any Scriptures?
My personal opinion, the sounds of trumpet will only be heard by the faithful believers, it is trumpet heaven, wicked people wont hear it. And the deads in Christ will be waking up and changed into new glorify body and us the bride will be changed into glorify body too and raptured in a twinkle of an eye. Come O Lord Jesus. Amen.

It’s everyone’s free will to accept Christ and escape what’s coming
God wants everyone to come to Christ. He even sends an angel to preach the gospel During the tribulation and people will still reject Jesus.
