To all of those who endlessly debate escatology and the rapture and then go belittle their brethren in Christ because they have a different understanding of Revelation and the End of Days than yours, I have to say shame on you! To call this man a false teacher is a gross injustice because I know he has preached the truth with as clear accuracy as a human possibly can. He has preached every single verse of the Bible over the course of 50 years and has studied it daily without fail. He takes great care to ensure that his preaching is consistent with biblical truth. That being said, it is still possible to err, but if he is to err, it is not to lead others to deception and destruction, as John Macarthur is fully aware of the consequences of doing so. He has preached on these topics himself several times. Why would he risk eternal damnation, blaspheming God by knowingly misrepresenting God's Word? It doesn't make sense for a man who has faithfully preached time and time again. If you have a disagreement with him or anyone else for anything Theological, then provide Scripture to prove your point. The issue is the interpretation of Scripture and how it fits in the chronological timeline, but we often forget that the purpose of Revelation and Prophecy is to show God's glory in how He will restore the Earth to Obedience and to an intimate relationship with Him. It is not simply to tell the future of what is come. Our focus should be to continue to work of the Great Commission, not on the future of this world because it will one day return to nothing. If you believe and are truly saved, your Eternity is set to be with God forever, and on that, every true preacher of the Gospel agrees one hundred percent.
Though I agree with Mr. MaCarthur 99% of the time, I don’t see a pre-trib rapture. The Word of God teaches, He will keep His people from the day of His wrath!! Yes we will be taken up “at the Lord’s coming” “with the trumpet of God” 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17, but to make this as pre-trib rapture doesn’t fly! Again, 1 Corinthians 15:23 “at His (Jesus) coming” doesn’t teach me anything about a pre-tib rapture! It says at His Coming, when is that must be established “from scripture” not someone’s teaching. How Mr MaCArthur relates John 14 to the rapture is beyond me though? Can anyone show in the history of the Church, the doctrine of the rapture? The only thing I can find, started in the mid to late 1800’s, through a man named Darby. What we don’t see is the foot hold that Satan gets, when we take a simple passage in scripture, where the Apostle Paul is simply comforting the congregants of Thessalonicia, and turn it into a doctrine; and we in turn argue about it. Let’s take the advice of Paul Washer, when he say’s: you will know all you need to know about the second advent of Christ, when the second advent happens. Great advice for the Church! Are we as willing to go into all the world with the promulgation of the Glorious Gospel, as we are willing to argue over an event that will take place when He see’s fit? Do we argue about 2 Timothy 2:10 enduring all things for His elect? Or 1 Timothy 4:9-10 or what about 2 Corinthians 5:15? Don’t get me wrong, we must contend for The Faith, Jude 3; we are falling into a trap otherwise though. We contend for the faith, not for our version of it, it is God’s Gospel, so let’s seek His glory, and not our own!

Dr. Mc Arthur knows well of the written scripture, but antagonistic toward anything supernatural in the Bible. You are missing out if signs, wonders, and miracles of God in the book of Acts especially is ignored.

I just got into a few arguments about this with some church leaders. I was called "ridiculous" at the pulpit from a pastor, for suggesting No Judgement for the Marriage Supper of The Lamb. I had no chance to discuss this. It made me realize how dangerous a one way communication pulpit is. Also, The 10 virgins parable, I think is directly linked to this too.
I have been a Christian and a student and teacher of Eschatology (end-times) for 3 decades and I cannot believe how so much of the Church has abandoned this teaching. If you read the Trumpet judgments they are terrifying. I pray the Rapture is prior to Seal 1 but I also recognize that God's wrath doesn't come until Seal 6. So I try to prepare for both. Either way from my understanding it's still "pre-7 years" I just think the "Covenant with many" facilitated by the Antichrist comes after the Gog/Magog war where the whole world sees the God of Israel is alive and well. Jesus is not talking about the rapture in John 17, he is praying that the disciples should be in the world (not taken out) as the ones to share the gospel and asking for their protection from the evil one.

Two Phases of the Second Coming of Jesus: 1. At the rapture moment, Christ comes for His church. 2. At the Second Coming, Christ returns with His church.
Where in Scripture dose it say there is two phases to the resurrection of the righteous. The Scriptures defiantly says there is two resurrections for the righteous and the wicked but all Scripture passages dealing with the resurrection places it at Christ's return, singular event! No accredited Biblical historian would support that a Pretrib rapture was ever taught in the first 300 years of the early Church.

Well the only problem with the pre-trib Rapture is the fact that it mentions the Saints after chapter 2 . in the Book of Revelation chapter 13 it talks about the Beast of Revelation in verse 7 of chapter 13 it says, it was given unto him to make war with the Saints and to overcome them and power was given him over all kindreds and tongues and Nations.
@@MegaPaul1973 How? Supposedly the Holy Spirit in the Church will be taken from the earth at a pre-trib rapture. Jesus said that "No one comes to the Father except the Spirit draw them". If the Holy Spirit is gone, how will people come to Christ? Or maybe, since the Father is unwilling that any should perish, maybe the Father will use us, the believers full of the Holy Spirit to lead people to Christ during those perilous times.

Pre trib and post trib caught up preachers both make valid point when they speak. Although when I read the bible I always see "elects going thru it", which I always understand as we going thru it, not escape, and will only be picked up at the moment the Son of God appears. But I'm still a baby and don't have much knowledge bout theology. These preachers contradicting each others makes me not want to listen to them about the end times anymore because of confusion. I'll prob just stick to reading the bible and just walk uprightly enduring til the end. Whether we go thru it or not.
That is exactly what I do. I read the Bible and make up my own mind and follow no one blindly. However, I'm also still a baby but because of these contradictions I decided to pray about it, and study it myself. I came to the same conclusion you did. Through the tribulation, we will go but will be spared when God pours out his wrath. The when in my opinion is not really important. What is important is to be ready whenever it happens. I would be happy if it is pretrib of course, but that is just not how I read it. What many people forget is that the Wrath of God, will be many times worse than any tribulation the antichrist brings on to throw our way. God loved his son, and he did not spare him. What makes us think that we should be better off than the son. Anyways I'm not looking for arguments with those who believe otherwise. We should all work out our own salvation with fear and trembling.

These people are probably the ones that are too confident about pre-trib that when they find themselves in the midst of the great tribulation, seeing their love ones killed and ripped open infront of them, they will start hating and questioning God... I have read some comments where people who are pretrib say what kind of God would make his bride suffer, and I just think the same God, who sacrificed his son for us. Somebody even said than what kind of Blessed Hope is he, if he allows us to suffer. Can you believe that someone would actually say that? So you are probably right, those turning away from God will probably be these pretribbers. Because how dare the Almighty God make his bride go through suffering? The Bible is clear that if we follow Him, we shall be persecuted. My 15 year old told me these people are so focused on God's love, that they forget to have the fear of God, which is the beginning of wisdom. He says they forget this loving God is the same one who flooded the earth. Never forget that God is not just love, he is just and cannot go against his nature. Just the fact that this pretrib is so popular even in Hollywood tells me that I need to flee from that. Sometimes people so exalt these preachers as if they are a modern day, Jesus. I think the best thing I did was to just read the bible myself, praying for wisdom and an understanding of the Word, and that the Lord will reveal his truth to me through his scriptures, so that I cannot be taken in by false preachers no matter how popular they are. Especially as I am a baby in Christ and if I listen only to men, could be easily deceived. I pray daily that I am not one of those who says Lord, but I have prophesied in your name and drove out demons in your name just to be told: Go away, I do not know you. It is very clear that verse is talking about Christians because who else will drive out demons in Jesus' name.

Yes. But our Interpretation on the implications of its timing and specifics aren’t. Dispensationalists cannot deal with any other eschatological interpretation on the rapture. It’s pure futurism.
310revelation people say there is no timing of the rapture when Jesus himself says "when you see", "when you hear", "AFTER the TRIBULATION" and "LOOKUP your reception draws near". To say there is no indication of timing is false.
True, the word 'rapture' is not in scripture, but 1 Thessalonians 4:17 says, 'Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.' The word 'rapture' has just been used to give a name to the event.

I’ve been rather troubled by the post-trib and post-Millennial views because while I know I’ll see some kind of persecution, I don’t want to starve because I won’t take the mark or die a thousand other deaths by the wrath of God. If the challenge is deny Christ or die, of course I pick the latter, but if the challenge is you have no hope because the world has gone nuts and you’ll die indiscriminately with the rest of unbelievers when 1/4 and 1/3 of the world dies in the judgments... then I’m terrified. I always believed in the Rapture but had shaken lately because I couldn’t find good teachers outside of WoF supporting the rapture. Thankful for JMAC.

One of the finest verses pointing to the catching away of the Church is found in Luke 21: 36 ... After warning of the judgments to come the Lord, Himself says there will be those who escape "all these things that shall come to pass."... The English word escape is translated from the Greek verb ekphugo which literally means "to flee by flight" "to vanish"..In that one verse the Lord states there will be those who escape (vanish), the means of that escape and where one will be at the moment of that escape..."to stand before the Son of Man."..Even so come, Lord Jesus !! I agree and think it has to be 2 events. In Matthew 24 37-41 the saved remain on earth. In 1 Thessalonians 4 16-7 all believers meet the Lord in the air. Thessalonians is the rapture. Matthew is the 2nd coming where those who come to faith during tribulation and live survive into millinial kingdom to procreate.

God saved Noah from the flood, snatched Lot out of Sodom, and Israel from the judgements upon Egypt. So why would He not rapture His saints before the tribulation?
If you are a "post tribber" you better pray the "pre trib" is correct.....we will not want to be here when God pours out his final wrath on this sinful world....it will be at a level never witnessed before. I guess some have a hard time with the "guilt" of getting the opportunity to miss out on the tribulation and not going through it with everyone else but pray you are spared by being taken out of it prior.
The “elect” clearly go through the tribulation per Mark 13:19-20 KJV. The word elect means “select” its root being “ek” in the Greek which is the same root for the word ekklesia (church).
At last! someone in these comments who is saying the truth! As difficult as it is to hear. It's similar to when Jesus said: "Father, if You are willing, remove this cup [of divine wrath] from Me; yet not My will, but [always] Yours be done.” None of us want to go through the tribulation but not our will but God's will. Pierre M The Roman historians Josephus and Tacitus both specific mentioned Jesus. Many parts of the Talmud discuss Jesus, mostly in a negative light. Only liberal scholars who are trying to discredit the Gospel use the timeframes that you quoted. There are fragments from Mark and John that date to the early 50s AD and The Revelation of Jesus Christ and John’s epistles were likely the last NT letters between 85 and 95 AD. There is so much that is contrary to consistent Holy Spirit inspired teaching on what Tribulation is. Go back to the Bible and read what the Lord and all His Apostles teach regarding the Christian life. The only guarantee you have as a Christian are trouble, persecution, Tribulation, call it what you will. However there is a greater guarantee that the Lord Jesus Christ in whom you have believed will deliver you through every one of these problems. Remember how Daniel and his friends were delivered, not by being"snatched away" when Nebuchadnezzar tried to burn them but to allow them to be put in the midst of the fire and be there with them, thus delivering them gloriously. Let no man teach the Church escapes problems, we are not appointed to God's wrath but we certainly go through enough problems in our Christian life, delivered only by faith in and of Christ. Read the Bible, prayerfully, beseeching God to reveal the Truth and you shall be saved from all doctrine contrary to God's. In Jesus precious name and for the sake of His Church. Amen.

@@alexkelley385 You do not know Revelation or the timelines set by Daniel. The final week of that prophecy re: Christ began when Jesus said, "The time is at hand." Jesus preached to Judah for 3.5 years and after he ascended the Apostles preached another 3.5 years to Judah. That 7th week is completed. We have no more timelines presented in the Bible and not in the Revelation of Jesus Christ.

So if there is a rapture to go with Christ , why would there be a judgment? Those that were raptured would know they were heaven bound and those left in tribulation would obviously be doomed. That doesn’t make sense.
I don't think everyone in the tribulation is doomed. There are two witnesses plus the 144,000. There will be people preaching the word of God in those days I believe

It's as clear as daylight! AFTER THE TRIBULATION The son of man (JESUS) comes down from the clouds... Can't get much clearer and simpler than that to understand 🤔🤷
After watching this video 4 years ago, I have now read the Bible several times and it’s now clear to me that the rapture is synonymous to the second coming. (same event) Jesus said the Kingdom is here now. We are in the Kingdom now. For a deeper commentary on the book of revelation chapter 20. I found G .K Beale to be the most helpful, followed by the book “a case for a-millennialism” Kim riddlebarger. Although mc Arthur gets the rapture wrong, he is still clear on the gospel that teaches that God saves sinners through Christ.
Part 1/2 I am not here to attack anyone but one of the problems I see in the Church today is that very few Christians know the story of Scripture. If you don't understand the story, you'll never understand Eschatology. I'm going to post an excerpt of my comment above for you to consider. "I would also add that in Zechariah 14 we see the 2nd Coming especially in verses 16-17 16 And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. 17 And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, on them there will be no rain." This to me, shows me that John 14:1-6 is definitely a separate event and that Post-Tribulation is not logical. Acts 1:9 Now when He (Jesus) had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, 11 who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.” "...This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.” "in like manner" Did Jesus ascend to Heaven on a white horse? There's nothing in Rev 19 that could be construed as "like manner" in Acts 1. The problem with Amillennialism as I understand it, is that Zechariah 14 and like passages show a literal kingdom on earth which as far as I know Amills don't believe. If I'm wrong please correct me. Zechariah 14 also says in verse 9 And the Lord shall be King over all the earth. In that day it shall be-“The Lord is one,” And His name one. what is the story of Scripture? In Genesis 1 God created the Heavens and the Earth. In verse 28, the LORD willingly gave us His dominion over His creation of earth over to us. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” The LORD has always been Sovereign over all reality, but in Genesis, He gave the dominion of the earth to us. Our free will now dictated the direction humanity would go. We in turn gave that authority to the enemy. Leaders of nations gave their allegiance to the enemy. We see this at the Tower of Babel. This is why when Jesus was tempted by Satan and offered the "kingdoms of the earth" in exchange for worship, Jesus never disputed Satan's claim. Satan had that authority we were given to offer the kingdoms of the earth. Matthew 4 8 Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.” 2 Cor 4:3-4 (Post Resurrection) 3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. This is why the Disciples asked about the "end of the age" and the LORD"s return Matthew 24 3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” Why does Jesus tell us He's with us to the end of the age? Matthew 28 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. At the 2nd Coming that "age" of mankind, the end of the age of mankind and Satan's authority on earth ends. Now this next section doesn't prove that these views are correct, but one of the things that baffle me today is that many Christians think Dispensational Premillennialism is a couple of hundred years old when it's not. We have numerous early church fathers' writings showing what they believed and taught. Again, not proof it's correct. But if you have disciples of the Apostles writing in the first and second centuries of what they believed and taught I think that would at least be something we'd consider. (continued in part 2)
Part 2/2 Church father Irenaeus wrote about 180AD. He was taught under Polycarp, the disciple of the Apostle John, and occasionally saw the Apostle John. Irenaeus wrote a five-volume work entitled “Against Heresies” against the cults of his day. “When in the end that church will suddenly be caught up from this, then it is said, ‘There will be tribulation such as not been since the beginning, nor will be.’” Irenaeus “Against Heresies 5.29 Ephraim 373 AD “…because all saints and the elect of the LORD are gathered together before the Tribulation which is about to commence be taken to the LORD…” On the Last Times 2-Ephraim the Syrian 373 AD. Lactantius in 304AD in his commentary of the Apocalypse that Rev 6:14 is when "the Church shall be taken away” Irenaeus writes about dispensational premillennialism. As I showed he wrote about 180AD and was a disciple of Polycarp who was a direct disciple of the Apostle John. “In 2 Thessalonians, the ‘falling away’ is an apostasy and there will be a literal rebuilt temple. In Matthew [chapter 24], the ‘abomination spoken by Daniel’ is the Antichrist sitting in the temple as if he were Christ. The abomination will start in the middle of Daniel’s 70th week and last for a literal three years and six months. The little horn [11th] is the Antichrist. Against Heresies 5.25 Many early church fathers' also had a certain view on when the 2nd Coming would be. These excerpts are from Ken Johnson's book "The end times by Ancient Church Fathers" where he documents what the early church fathers believed. Again it doesn't mean it's correct but I find it interesting how many early church fathers wrote on the topic and described their understanding in detail and it was what we'd call dispensational premillennialism today. Barnabas, AD First Century “Therefore, children, in six days, or in six thousand years, all the prophecies will be fulfilled. Then it says, ‘He rested on the seventh day.’ This signifies at the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus, He will destroy the Antichrist, judge the ungodly, and change the sun, moon, and stars. Then He will truly rest during the Millennial reign, which is the seventh day.” Epistle of Barnabas 15:7-9 Commodianus, AD 240 “We will be immortal when the six thousand years are completed.” Against the Gods of the Heathens 35 “Resurrection of the body will be when six thousand years are completed, and after the one thousand years [millennial reign], the world will come to an end.” Against the Gods of the Heathens 80 Victorinus, AD 240 “Satan will be bound until the thousand years are finished; that is, after the sixth day.” Commentary on Revelation 20.1-3 Methodius, AD 290 “In the seventh millennium we will be immortal and truly celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.” Ten Virgins 9.1 Johnson, Ken. The End-Times by the Ancient Church Fathers (p. 11-12). Again, you're free to believe what you want and you're right this in no way impacts our salvation but we are to test every teaching, and I as what many would call a dispensational premill, I have to examine every teaching from Pastors and books like the "Left Behind" series which to me is very inaccurate and Americanized. In John 13:19 Jesus says 19 "Now I tell you before it comes, that when it does come to pass, you may believe that I am." The number 1 purpose of Bible prophecy is to lead unbelievers to believe in the LORD, the I AM, and be saved. This means that Bible prophecy is literal just as Jesus, literally fulfilled over 100 OT prophecies, just as Noah's ark was built exactly to the size that Scientists today have verified it would have floated and held the required species and cargo needed. Just as Daniel 9 tells us that between the "command to restore and rebuild Jerusalem" which happened in Nisan 445BC (the month of Passover) that there would be 173,880 days until the Messiah the Prince suffered the death penalty, but not for Himself (Nisan Passover 32AD). Not everything in the Bible is literal, but Bible prophecy is. Predictions about what is to come whether it was the Flood, or the Messiah, or the 2nd Coming is ALWAYS literal. Jesus confirms this in John 13:19. Paul also tells us this in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, "according to the Scriptures" in other words as it is written. The tribulation is before the rapture if so why the chip. All those who are left will not refuse the chip they wont be christians anyway. The Lord will help us.
First of all, it is not a SECRET rapture, as all eyes will see or observe the results (people missing). Second, the tribulation is for unbelievers and jews, and those surviving will enter the milenial kingdom. We who are with Him will come to rule with Him. At th end of the millenium, it is He, his angels and us that will fight the resurgent dragon. I was not a pre tribber until recently, int hese last few months, and the Lord has opened spiritual eyes to comprehend His mercy. I pray that God will do likewise with you. God bless you.

I have heard this in the dispensationalism.The problem I have is who are the Saints in Rev 13:7 /Dan 7:8 And 14:12 The patience of the Saints; 8:3-4; Rev 11:18; If Noah and his family was protected from the wrath of God while in the Ark, Cannot God protect the saints in the tribulation to the 7th trumpet? Surely Rev 11:11-15 sounds like the rapture, because verse 18 sounds like the bema seat! Even during the Plagues in Exodus, while the Egyptians were getting judged, it say's that the Children of Israel and their property were protected.

One of these contradictions which I would like you to explain, concerns your declaring that the Rapture will ONLY take place, after the "Times of the GENTILES be fulfilled", ( Rom.11:25 ) which I agree is Correct ! But then you go on to say about the Timing of the RAPTURE, that you believe it takes place BEFORE the coming TRIBULATION !! ( and THAT, After you have declared that the RAPTURE CANNOT happen UNTIL the "TIMES of the GENTILES come in", and your citing of Rom.11:25 as proof ) So What do you do with Luke 21:24, that declares that;..."and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled." @@Salvation-Damnation the pre tribulation rapture is mostly taught in america and safe western countries with no persecution. Those in China dont think they will escape the persecution that Jesus promised because....they arent escaping it currently. Pre tribulation is a very western idea. I always ask pre trib people this one question. If in 1 thess 4 Paul says "we will not preceede the dead in christ" and "at the last(not seventh so it's not confused)trumpet the dead in christ will rise" and in revelation 20 the last trumpet is at the end of the tribulation where in verse five the "dead in christ are risen, this is the first ressurrection" then how can the rapture preceede the dead in christ be risen at the end of the tribulation? I never get a answer other than "you dont understand what you are reading". No one can ever tell me a verse or prove it biblically that saints or the elect are ever clearly to be taken before the end. And if they are taken at the end then that makes Paul a liar doesnt it? I dont understand how people can read Jesus' timeline in Mark 13 and Matthew 24 where he mentions nothing but persecution for the saints until jesus gathers his elect sometime after the man of sin or the abomination that makes desolation is revealed standing in the holy place. I feel like the great falling away will be because the Pre-trib rapture doesnt happen although I will say that's just my speculation and I cant support it clearly with biblical or scriptural proof. The lack of pre-trib I feel is very clear biblically though.
@@scottwall8419 I would not say that pretrib is “safe.” It means many who aren’t ready would be caught off guard. Either scenario requires readiness and anticipation. Many who don’t believe in pretrib (or who don’t seem to care), are assuming they will have time to prepare themselves. But once the world enters into this time, assuming the Word is literal and a trib is coming… it will be like a great shock to humanity. Ps. Don’t forget about the days of Noah. To all of those who endlessly debate escatology and the rapture and then go belittle their brethren in Christ because they have a different understanding of Revelation and the End of Days than yours, I have to say shame on you! To call this man a false teacher is a gross injustice because I know he has preached the truth with as clear accuracy as a human possibly can. He has preached every single verse of the Bible over the course of 50 years and has studied it daily without fail. He takes great care to ensure that his preaching is consistent with biblical truth. That being said, it is still possible to err, but if he is to err, it is not to lead others to deception and destruction, as John Macarthur is fully aware of the consequences of doing so. He has preached on these topics himself several times. Why would he risk eternal damnation, blaspheming God by knowingly misrepresenting God's Word? It doesn't make sense for a man who has faithfully preached time and time again.
If you have a disagreement with him or anyone else for anything Theological, then provide Scripture to prove your point. The issue is the interpretation of Scripture and how it fits in the chronological timeline, but we often forget that the purpose of Revelation and Prophecy is to show God's glory in how He will restore the Earth to Obedience and to an intimate relationship with Him. It is not simply to tell the future of what is come. Our focus should be to continue to work of the Great Commission, not on the future of this world because it will one day return to nothing. If you believe and are truly saved, your Eternity is set to be with God forever, and on that, every true preacher of the Gospel agrees one hundred percent.
Though I agree with Mr. MaCarthur 99% of the time, I don’t see a pre-trib rapture. The Word of God teaches, He will keep His people from the day of His wrath!! Yes we will be taken up “at the Lord’s coming” “with the trumpet of God” 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17, but to make this as pre-trib rapture doesn’t fly! Again, 1 Corinthians 15:23 “at His (Jesus) coming” doesn’t teach me anything about a pre-tib rapture! It says at His Coming, when is that must be established “from scripture” not someone’s teaching. How Mr MaCArthur relates John 14 to the rapture is beyond me though?
Can anyone show in the history of the Church, the doctrine of the rapture? The only thing I can find, started in the mid to late 1800’s, through a man named Darby.
What we don’t see is the foot hold that Satan gets, when we take a simple passage in scripture, where the Apostle Paul is simply comforting the congregants of Thessalonicia, and turn it into a doctrine; and we in turn argue about it. Let’s take the advice of Paul Washer, when he say’s: you will know all you need to know about the second advent of Christ, when the second advent happens. Great advice for the Church! Are we as willing to go into all the world with the promulgation of the Glorious Gospel, as we are willing to argue over an event that will take place when He see’s fit? Do we argue about 2 Timothy 2:10 enduring all things for His elect? Or 1 Timothy 4:9-10 or what about 2 Corinthians 5:15? Don’t get me wrong, we must contend for The Faith, Jude 3; we are falling into a trap otherwise though. We contend for the faith, not for our version of it, it is God’s Gospel, so let’s seek His glory, and not our own!

This to me, shows me that John 14:1-6 is definitely a separate event and that Post-Tribulation is not logical.

There's nothing in Rev 19 that could be construed as "like manner" in Acts 1.
Where I think many Christians get confused in the timeline is when do the 7 years start?

I believe that Seal 1 is NOT the start of the 7 years but the revealing of the false Messiah (aka the Antichrist) a declaration by the Jews their long-awaited "Messiah" has come. He has no power or influence just a title.

The 7 years begin in Rev 11 (10 actually but 11 is easier to define)
In John 3:36 Jesus says

Because of Jesus, we're not destined for God's Wrath. In Rev 6:15-17 it says
15 And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, 16 and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! 17 For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”
This Seal as I understand it is an event allowed by the LORD. In my videos I show how Seal 6 is the Gog/Magog war of Ezekiel 38-39.
I am also convinced that Trumpets 1-6 are the LORD's response to the Gog/Magog invasion which are prior to Rev 11 the 7 years.
If you read the Trumpet judgments they are terrifying.
I pray the Rapture is prior to Seal 1 but I also recognize that God's wrath doesn't come until Seal 6. So I try to prepare for both. Either way from my understanding it's still "pre-7 years" I just think the "Covenant with many" facilitated by the Antichrist comes after the Gog/Magog war where the whole world sees the God of Israel is alive and well.

Two Phases of the Second Coming of Jesus:
1. At the rapture moment, Christ comes for His church.
2. At the Second Coming, Christ returns with His church.
Where in Scripture dose it say there is two phases to the resurrection of the righteous. The Scriptures defiantly says there is two resurrections for the righteous and the wicked but all Scripture passages dealing with the resurrection places it at Christ's return, singular event!

Well the only problem with the pre-trib Rapture is the fact that it mentions the Saints after chapter 2 . in the Book of Revelation chapter 13 it talks about the Beast of Revelation in verse 7 of chapter 13 it says, it was given unto him to make war with the Saints and to overcome them and power was given him over all kindreds and tongues and Nations.
During the tribulation people will accept Christ therefore, they will be the saints that are being referred to.

If the Holy Spirit is gone, how will people come to Christ? Pre trib and post trib caught up preachers both make valid point when they speak. Although when I read the bible I always see "elects going thru it", which I always understand as we going thru it, not escape, and will only be picked up at the moment the Son of God appears. But I'm still a baby and don't have much knowledge bout theology. These preachers contradicting each others makes me not want to listen to them about the end times anymore because of confusion.
I'll prob just stick to reading the bible and just walk uprightly enduring til the end. Whether we go thru it or not.
That is exactly what I do. I read the Bible and make up my own mind and follow no one blindly. However, I'm also still a baby but because of these contradictions I decided to pray about it, and study it myself. I came to the same conclusion you did. Through the tribulation, we will go but will be spared when God pours out his wrath. The when in my opinion is not really important. What is important is to be ready whenever it happens. I would be happy if it is pretrib of course, but that is just not how I read it. What many people forget is that the Wrath of God, will be many times worse than any tribulation the antichrist brings on to throw our way. God loved his son, and he did not spare him. What makes us think that we should be better off than the son. Anyways I'm not looking for arguments with those who believe otherwise. We should all work out our own salvation with fear and trembling.

yes! The great wrath of God is what we will surely escape... It's also important to note that many elects will fall from faith during great tribulation. These people are probably the ones that are too confident about pre-trib that when they find themselves in the midst of the great tribulation, seeing their love ones killed and ripped open infront of them, they will start hating and questioning God... But conditioning ourselves to prepare for the worse will give us better fighting chance to persevere and keep our Faith high til the end. *Church of Philadelphia*

I have read some comments where people who are pretrib say what kind of God would make his bride suffer, and I just think the same God, who sacrificed his son for us. Somebody even said than what kind of Blessed Hope is he, if he allows us to suffer. Can you believe that someone would actually say that? So you are probably right, those turning away from God will probably be these pretribbers. Because how dare the Almighty God make his bride go through suffering? The Bible is clear that if we follow Him, we shall be persecuted. My 15 year old told me these people are so focused on God's love, that they forget to have the fear of God, which is the beginning of wisdom. He says they forget this loving God is the same one who flooded the earth. Never forget that God is not just love, he is just and cannot go against his nature. Just the fact that this pretrib is so popular even in Hollywood tells me that I need to flee from that. Sometimes people so exalt these preachers as if they are a modern day, Jesus. I think the best thing I did was to just read the bible myself, praying for wisdom and an understanding of the Word, and that the Lord will reveal his truth to me through his scriptures, so that I cannot be taken in by false preachers no matter how popular they are. Especially as I am a baby in Christ and if I listen only to men, could be easily deceived. I pray daily that I am not one of those who says Lord, but I have prophesied in your name and drove out demons in your name just to be told: Go away, I do not know you. It is very clear that verse is talking about Christians because who else will drive out demons in Jesus' name.

I’ve been rather troubled by the post-trib and post-Millennial views because while I know I’ll see some kind of persecution, I don’t want to starve because I won’t take the mark or die a thousand other deaths by the wrath of God. If the challenge is deny Christ or die, of course I pick the latter, but if the challenge is you have no hope because the world has gone nuts and you’ll die indiscriminately with the rest of unbelievers when 1/4 and 1/3 of the world dies in the judgments... then I’m terrified. I agree and think it has to be 2 events. In Matthew 24 37-41 the saved remain on earth. In 1 Thessalonians 4 16-7 all believers meet the Lord in the air. Thessalonians is the rapture. Where does it mention the rapture in John 14 or 1 Corinthians? I can’t find it.
God saved Noah from the flood, snatched Lot out of Sodom, and Israel from the judgements upon Egypt. So why would He not rapture His saints before the tribulation?

If you are a "post tribber" you better pray the "pre trib" is correct.....we will not want to be here when God pours out his final wrath on this sinful world....it will be at a level never witnessed before. I guess some have a hard time with the "guilt" of getting the opportunity to miss out on the tribulation and not going through it with everyone else but pray you are spared by being taken out of it prior.
The “elect” clearly go through the tribulation per Mark 13:19-20 KJV. The word elect means “select” its root being “ek” in the Greek which is the same root for the word ekklesia (church).

There is so much that is contrary to consistent Holy Spirit inspired teaching on what Tribulation is. However there is a greater guarantee that the Lord Jesus Christ in whom you have believed will deliver you through every one of these problems. Remember how Daniel and his friends were delivered, not by being"snatched away" when Nebuchadnezzar tried to burn them but to allow them to be put in the midst of the fire and be there with them, thus delivering them gloriously.
Let no man teach the Church escapes problems, we are not appointed to God's wrath but we certainly go through enough problems in our Christian life, delivered only by faith in and of Christ.
Read the Bible, prayerfully, beseeching God to reveal the Truth and you shall be saved from all doctrine contrary to God's.

This is for Israel during the 7 years of tribulation. The Synoptics mention these times reflected in Rev. 4-19
@@alexkelley385 You do not know Revelation or the timelines set by Daniel. The final week of that prophecy re: Christ began when Jesus said, "The time is at hand." Jesus preached to Judah for 3.5 years and after he ascended the Apostles preached another 3.5 years to Judah. That 7th week is completed. We have no more timelines presented in the Bible and not in the Revelation of Jesus Christ.

So if there is a rapture to go with Christ , why would there be a judgment? Those that were raptured would know they were heaven bound and those left in tribulation would obviously be doomed. That doesn’t make sense.
I don't think everyone in the tribulation is doomed. There are two witnesses plus the 144,000. There will be people preaching the word of God in those days I believe

After watching this video 4 years ago, I have now read the Bible several times and it’s now clear to me that the rapture is synonymous to the second coming. (same event) Jesus said the Kingdom is here now. We are in the Kingdom now. For a deeper commentary on the book of revelation chapter 20. I found G .K Beale to be the most helpful, followed by the book “a case for a-millennialism” Kim riddlebarger. Although mc Arthur gets the rapture wrong, he is still clear on the gospel that teaches that God saves sinners through Christ.

I am not here to attack anyone but one of the problems I see in the Church today is that very few Christians know the story of Scripture. If you don't understand the story, you'll never understand Eschatology.
I'm going to post an excerpt of my comment above for you to consider.

This to me, shows me that John 14:1-6 is definitely a separate event and that Post-Tribulation is not logical.

There's nothing in Rev 19 that could be construed as "like manner" in Acts 1.
The problem with Amillennialism as I understand it, is that Zechariah 14 and like passages show a literal kingdom on earth which as far as I know Amills don't believe. If I'm wrong please correct me.
Zechariah 14 also says in verse 9 And the Lord shall be King over all the earth. In that day it shall be-“The Lord is one,” And His name one.
what is the story of Scripture? In Genesis 1 God created the Heavens and the Earth. In verse 28, the LORD willingly gave us His dominion over His creation of earth over to us.
28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
The LORD has always been Sovereign over all reality, but in Genesis, He gave the dominion of the earth to us. Our free will now dictated the direction humanity would go. We in turn gave that authority to the enemy. Leaders of nations gave their allegiance to the enemy. We see this at the Tower of Babel.
This is why when Jesus was tempted by Satan and offered the "kingdoms of the earth" in exchange for worship, Jesus never disputed Satan's claim. Satan had that authority we were given to offer the kingdoms of the earth.
Matthew 4
8 Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.”

Why does Jesus tell us He's with us to the end of the age?

19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
At the 2nd Coming that "age" of mankind, the end of the age of mankind and Satan's authority on earth ends.
Now this next section doesn't prove that these views are correct, but one of the things that baffle me today is that many Christians think Dispensational Premillennialism is a couple of hundred years old when it's not.
We have numerous early church fathers' writings showing what they believed and taught. Again, not proof it's correct. But if you have disciples of the Apostles writing in the first and second centuries of what they believed and taught I think that would at least be something we'd consider.

Church father Irenaeus wrote about 180AD. He was taught under Polycarp, the disciple of the Apostle John, and occasionally saw the Apostle John. Irenaeus wrote a five-volume work entitled “Against Heresies” against the cults of his day. “When in the end that church will suddenly be caught up from this, then it is said, ‘There will be tribulation such as not been since the beginning, nor will be.’” Irenaeus “Against Heresies 5.29
Ephraim 373 AD “…because all saints and the elect of the LORD are gathered together before the Tribulation which is about to commence be taken to the LORD…” On the Last Times 2-Ephraim the Syrian 373 AD.
Lactantius in 304AD in his commentary of the Apocalypse that Rev 6:14 is when "the Church shall be taken away”
Irenaeus writes about dispensational premillennialism. As I showed he wrote about 180AD and was a disciple of Polycarp who was a direct disciple of the Apostle John.
“In 2 Thessalonians, the ‘falling away’ is an apostasy and there will be a literal rebuilt temple. In Matthew [chapter 24], the ‘abomination spoken by Daniel’ is the Antichrist sitting in the temple as if he were Christ. The abomination will start in the middle of Daniel’s 70th week and last for a literal three years and six months. The little horn [11th] is the Antichrist. Against Heresies 5.25
Many early church fathers' also had a certain view on when the 2nd Coming would be. These excerpts are from Ken Johnson's book "The end times by Ancient Church Fathers" where he documents what the early church fathers believed. Again it doesn't mean it's correct but I find it interesting how many early church fathers wrote on the topic and described their understanding in detail and it was what we'd call dispensational premillennialism today.

“Therefore, children, in six days, or in six thousand years, all the prophecies will be fulfilled. Then it says, ‘He rested on the seventh day.’ This signifies at the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus, He will destroy the Antichrist, judge the ungodly, and change the sun, moon, and stars. Again, you're free to believe what you want and you're right this in no way impacts our salvation but we are to test every teaching, and I as what many would call a dispensational premill, I have to examine every teaching from Pastors and books like the "Left Behind" series which to me is very inaccurate and Americanized.
In John 13:19 Jesus says 19 "Now I tell you before it comes, that when it does come to pass, you may believe that I am." The number 1 purpose of Bible prophecy is to lead unbelievers to believe in the LORD, the I AM, and be saved.
This means that Bible prophecy is literal just as Jesus, literally fulfilled over 100 OT prophecies, just as Noah's ark was built exactly to the size that Scientists today have verified it would have floated and held the required species and cargo needed. Just as Daniel 9 tells us that between the "command to restore and rebuild Jerusalem" which happened in Nisan 445BC (the month of Passover) that there would be 173,880 days until the Messiah the Prince suffered the death penalty, but not for Himself (Nisan Passover 32AD).
Not everything in the Bible is literal, but Bible prophecy is. Predictions about what is to come whether it was the Flood, or the Messiah, or the 2nd Coming is ALWAYS literal. Jesus confirms this in John 13:19. Paul also tells us this in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,
"according to the Scriptures" in other words as it is written.

I know Jesus doesn't come 3 times and he doesnt come till the 7th Trumpet. The 'rapture' occurs at the 6th.
The tribulation is before the rapture if so why the chip. All those who are left will not refuse the chip they wont be christians anyway. The Lord will help us.
First of all, it is not a SECRET rapture, as all eyes will see or observe the results (people missing). Second, the tribulation is for unbelievers and jews, and those surviving will enter the milenial kingdom. We who are with Him will come to rule with Him. At th end of the millenium, it is He, his angels and us that will fight the resurgent dragon. I was not a pre tribber until recently, int hese last few months, and the Lord has opened spiritual eyes to comprehend His mercy. I pray that God will do likewise with you. God bless you.

I have heard this in the dispensationalism.The problem I have is who are the Saints in Rev 13:7 /Dan 7:8 And 14:12 The patience of the Saints; 8:3-4; Rev 11:18; If Noah and his family was protected from the wrath of God while in the Ark, Cannot God protect the saints in the tribulation to the 7th trumpet? Surely Rev 11:11-15 sounds like the rapture, because verse 18 sounds like the bema seat! Even during the Plagues in Exodus, while the Egyptians were getting judged, it say's that the Children of Israel and their property were protected.
Dr. MacArthur, In this You Tube video, you make several contradictions !! One of these contradictions which I would like you to explain, concerns your declaring that the Rapture will ONLY take place, after the "Times of the GENTILES be fulfilled", ( Rom.11:25 ) which I agree is Correct !
But then you go on to say about the Timing of the RAPTURE, that you believe it takes place BEFORE the coming TRIBULATION !! ( and THAT, After you have declared that the RAPTURE CANNOT happen UNTIL the "TIMES of the GENTILES come in", and your citing of Rom.11:25 as proof )
So What do you do with Luke 21:24, that declares that;..."and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled."

Your apparent contradiction is in my understanding REFUTED by these TWO PASSAGES, which declare that the TIMES Of the GENTILES, does NOT END, until the LAST DAY of the coming TRIBULATION !!! ( which incidentally, is the DAY that JESUS said He would "Raise-Up", those that the Father had Given Him on "the LAST DAY". Jn.6:40 )

@@Salvation-Damnation the pre tribulation rapture is mostly taught in america and safe western countries with no persecution. Those in China dont think they will escape the persecution that Jesus promised because....they arent escaping it currently. Pre tribulation is a very western idea.
I always ask pre trib people this one question. If in 1 thess 4 Paul says "we will not preceede the dead in christ" and "at the last(not seventh so it's not confused)trumpet the dead in christ will rise" and in revelation 20 the last trumpet is at the end of the tribulation where in verse five the "dead in christ are risen, this is the first ressurrection" then how can the rapture preceede the dead in christ be risen at the end of the tribulation? I never get a answer other than "you dont understand what you are reading". No one can ever tell me a verse or prove it biblically that saints or the elect are ever clearly to be taken before the end. And if they are taken at the end then that makes Paul a liar doesnt it?
I dont understand how people can read Jesus' timeline in Mark 13 and Matthew 24 where he mentions nothing but persecution for the saints until jesus gathers his elect sometime after the man of sin or the abomination that makes desolation is revealed standing in the holy place. I feel like the great falling away will be because the Pre-trib rapture doesnt happen although I will say that's just my speculation and I cant support it clearly with biblical or scriptural proof. The lack of pre-trib I feel is very clear biblically though.
@@scottwall8419 I would not say that pretrib is “safe.” It means many who aren’t ready would be caught off guard. Either scenario requires readiness and anticipation. Many who don’t believe in pretrib (or who don’t seem to care), are assuming they will have time to prepare themselves. But once the world enters into this time, assuming the Word is literal and a trib is coming… it will be like a great shock to humanity.
Ps. Don’t forget about the days of Noah. And don’t forget about the churches in first chapters of Rev.

Respectively, many believers will be upset and their hearts will be troubled when those signs come upon them. Many pre-tribulation teachers have to manage and many manipulate and bring out of context those passages. I know many love McArthur’s teaching also is beloved but he is still human. The events in the book of revelation are not in chronological order. The seals, the trumpets, and the bowls are but not the entire vision.

While it is a pleasant thought that the church would be removed and would not have to go through the tribulation, I think that it is wise to expect to do so. If not, well great, but we need to prepare for the expectation that we are. Get in the word, draw close to Jesus. Think about what you will have to do/what it will cost to not take the mark. What if the mark is like an I.D card and you can't bank/own property/shop without it. Are you prepared to live off the land or do what it takes to stay in the faith? Food for thought.
