As the author said, the 8 episode are still sneak peak of the whole series, and tho it has changed compared to the webtoon, but all of those changes really suit the anime. And It really depends on what animation company would animated the character, and studios mir can really animate an anime characters. Dota dragons blood, avatar and so on. Oh and imo, Samuels looks is kinda easy to animate, especially if world renowned studio is the one work for it like mappa, toe etc or Even in China. They can really make a proper fighting scene compared to the Koreans

I was in elementary school reading this comic and anxiously waiting every week for it to update and now I’m a high schooler, jumping for joy at it getting animated! I am in love with this webtoon. When I started, it was around 180 episodes, and I finished them all in 3 days. I am still following. I love everything about this webtoon. And I want to say thanks to Park Tae Jun-nim. He is also a very talented sweet person. I'm very excited for its anime!
I read the webtoon 5 years ago and I personally think the anime was really well done. I think it captured the essence of bullying, insecurity, justice, righteousness, beauty, family, love and dreams really well. The anime felt really nostalgic and personal, like we were directly involved in each characters' stories🥺❤. I also almost cried at episode 8 while listening to the song (Fly up). So yeah, we need a second season!! 🥺❤
Bullying part felt tryhard to me. I agree with insecurity but rest of it just sounds like nonsense. Justice part is debatable. From where you pulled righteousness? Which part was beauty? Last three i can't speak on.

Lookism is amazing. It introduces a lot of new characters along the way but man after chapter 400 its gettting hype, literally the best arc of the story can’t wait for the chapters to come out every week 😭😭

Yes!! I loved the latest chapters too 😍 But I'm a bit sad absolutely no one of his close friends reacted to his weight loss (besides Zoe for like 2 panels lol) when he has worked sooo hard on it. And when the new, new Daniel appears with Vasco and Zack, there's like no reaction as well 😅 Nothing, nada... So much build-up and only the readers care. It's kinda disappointing ToT I wanted some comic relief like with Vasco not recognising him. I mean, come on, it's Vasco. He didn't even recognise Jack with a hat on 😭
And what about Highschool??!!! Like Daniel has been missing for more than a month without any sort of explanation. What are the teachers doing? The police?? What is Jay up to lately? Heck, is he still even alive at this point 😅? Big Daniel was he's forever bromance and no reaction on his part. And how is Crystal? Plus, I miss Zoe and Mira...

I've always known about Lookism but never gave it a chance. When the anime was released on Netflix I got curious and found it had a very interesting story. So I decided to read the web comic. Damn the web comic is so good. The story is so deep and rich and so many characters have interesting backstories and development. There are quite of few plots and twists I did not see coming. As you get into later chapters it's so interesting to see how these many characters are connected and interact with each other. I also love how some of the enemies remain enemies despite working together. Highly recommend u read the web comic if u have not already.
Taejun parks webtoon is just too good with mixes of emotion, it's always when a villan is shown he will show their sad backstory which always makes me cry sometimes a lot of comedy and happiness

Lookism is already part of my childhood memories! My brother recommended it to me after caught him reading it. It was at the beginning at my “manga journey“ and I found it weird at first. Couple of years later: I re-started it and its seriously fun! I want to get to know all the characters immediately~~ And I’m so happy it got animated! Also ATEEZ made the opening? The way my jaw dropped 😭🤚🏽

Lookism was the webtoon that made me finally post my comics online 5 years ago :) I didnt really pay much attention to the creator, but seeing this interview makes me happy to see what kind of person made the comic that I love :DD I remember reading looking during my lunch breaks in junior high and getting excited to see the next episode. The story defenitely stuck in my head, and I was only reminded of it again when I saw my sister watching the anime adaptation- I ended up watching the whole thing with her in one sitting lolol It's actually a pretty good watch. They cut out a few things, but it's not bad at all.
I just saw the anime and cried . Sending love and strength for all the people who have been/are being harassed. Someday you will have your glow up and everything will be ok. Continue fighting, find allies, you deserve to live, you deserve to be love 🫶🫶🫶🫶 and please, for all the mean ppl, just stop and give the right example, be wise, shows respect not violence and hate. I don't think the anime will ever catch up to the webtoon in my lifetime 😁 but anyway the webtoon is awesome and I looooove it. Hopefully we get to see Daniel's adventure complete and a happy end for all the characters we love so much.

Lookism is the best WEBTOON I love to go back and reread the entire series! Now that the anime is out I loved it so much I rewatch it again and again so there could be a chance they could animate the other arcs :)
I really hope there will be a second season - and more! The backbone of the series really hits hard with me as someone who struggles with body dysphoria, low self-esteem and dealing with bullying during my childhood. It is inspiring! Despite it being a new series, it felt nostalgic. I'm starting to read the webtoon series now simply because the eight episodes just weren't enough! Thank you, Mr. Taejun Park, for creating something like this for so many of us as a watcher/readers can relate to.
i think the animation is great but the webtoon will always be my preferred choice!! i feel like a lot of details are sometimes blown over within the animation, so i definitely recommend anyone who has only seen the animation to read the webtoon!!!

Loved the anime. I used to be 240lbs all through high school. Nobody knew me except a few people and I definitely couldn't ge6 a girlfriend. The summer before senior year I started running and lifting and got down to 190lbs. Stipple felt the same, but I'll never forget the first day of senior year. All eyes were on me and I didn't know why, until someone said I looked so different. Girls started talking to me and the bullying stopped. Can't wait for season 2
i am already skinny, but my body doesn't have any redeeming quality. i am below average. if i was taller that could help but that isn't enough. i will just go to the gym and do skin care and try to boost my status to help myself and my social circle and relationships.

Lookism is really hard to get through but that’s the point. I like the lessons it tries to teach. I enjoyed the creativity of this series, it had me wanting more episodes and wishing the episodes were longer. It’s very well done. I loved it. ❤ Park Taejun is a genius.
I watched the anime in these last two days and its such a great work, it deserves a full 24 episodes. The only thing i would complain about is that a lot is left out that adds more context to some situations. For example, Zach Lee in the anime, all of the sudden he stops being a bully and its only appears that it happened just to like Mira but in the comic, the whole library situation happens and that's why he stops being an idiot.
I was so satisfied with the adaptation as a long time fan of Lookism, I really appreciated all the details they added in it. I hope they make many more seasons
The webtoon was soo guudd. But honestly the anime adaptation was mid. The story was good but i wasn't completely sure about the art style. At times it looked funny, and sometimes characters looked weird. It would be amazing if this got a kdrama adaptation, I mean true beauty (which in a sense similar) got one which was adapted from a webtoon too. Obviously there's also GOW and TOG. But emphasis on it having a Kdrama, i feel like it would work so well!

I remember reading looking during my lunch breaks in junior high and getting excited to see the next episode. The story defenitely stuck in my head, and I was only reminded of it again when I saw my sister watching the anime adaptation-
I ended up watching the whole thing with her in one sitting lolol It's actually a pretty good watch. They cut out a few things, but it's not bad at all.
I used to have a folder just for Park Taejun ulzzang era pictures back in 2011, sooo happy for his achievements!
I have just finished watching Lookism and I wish everyone had BASCO like character in their life to stand with whenever someone trying to bully.

I don't think the anime will ever catch up to the webtoon in my lifetime 😁 but anyway the webtoon is awesome and I looooove it. Hopefully we get to see Daniel's adventure complete and a happy end for all the characters we love so much.

Lookism is the best WEBTOON I love to go back and reread the entire series! Now that the anime is out I loved it so much I rewatch it again and again so there could be a chance they could animate the other arcs :)
I really hope there will be a second season - and more! The backbone of the series really hits hard with me as someone who struggles with body dysphoria, low self-esteem and dealing with bullying during my childhood. It is inspiring! Despite it being a new series, it felt nostalgic. I'm starting to read the webtoon series now simply because the eight episodes just weren't enough! Thank you, Mr. Taejun Park, for creating something like this for so many of us as a watcher/readers can relate to.

i think the animation is great but the webtoon will always be my preferred choice!! i feel like a lot of details are sometimes blown over within the animation, so i definitely recommend anyone who has only seen the animation to read the webtoon!!!

i really really appreciate creator park tae-jun for creating lookism because i am literally obessed with the webtoon now. i love how i get to learn new styles, forms and techniques of each characters whether they are minor characters or main protagonist daniel, i am just in love with the webtoon.

Loved the anime. I used to be 240lbs all through high school. Nobody knew me except a few people and I definitely couldn't ge6 a girlfriend. The summer before senior year I started running and lifting and got down to 190lbs. Stipple felt the same, but I'll never forget the first day of senior year. All eyes were on me and I didn't know why, until someone said I looked so different. Girls started talking to me and the bullying stopped. Can't wait for season 2
i am already skinny, but my body doesn't have any redeeming quality. i am below average. if i was taller that could help but that isn't enough. i will just go to the gym and do skin care and try to boost my status to help myself and my social circle and relationships.

Lookism is really hard to get through but that’s the point. I like the lessons it tries to teach. I enjoyed the creativity of this series, it had me wanting more episodes and wishing the episodes were longer. It’s very well done. I loved it. ❤

I watched the anime in these last two days and its such a great work, it deserves a full 24 episodes.
The only thing i would complain about is that a lot is left out that adds more context to some situations. For example, Zach Lee in the anime, all of the sudden he stops being a bully and its only appears that it happened just to like Mira but in the comic, the whole library situation happens and that's why he stops being an idiot.

I was so satisfied with the adaptation as a long time fan of Lookism, I really appreciated all the details they added in it. I hope they make many more seasons
The webtoon was soo guudd. But honestly the anime adaptation was mid. The story was good but i wasn't completely sure about the art style. At times it looked funny, and sometimes characters looked weird. It would be amazing if this got a kdrama adaptation, I mean true beauty (which in a sense similar) got one which was adapted from a webtoon too. Obviously there's also GOW and TOG.
But emphasis on it having a Kdrama, i feel like it would work so well!
