Now, I'm working with 2 different webtoon. This is work with Jhony Shiba and my position is as and artist. It already on 3 episode, please read it guys. www.webtoons.com/en/canvas/amagi-nightfall-isle-unknown/episode-3/viewer?title_no=987993&episode_no=3&serviceZone=GLOBAL I also work with studio on historical manhwa called "Lock Me Up Duke" And I work as a coloring assistant, but you can only read this in line webtoon japan.
I have to say I rather read webtoons with more text and more panels than huge gaps and barely panels. I don't want to scroll too much to read, rather all squished than huge gaps or suuuper huge panels
That's why I mention that on mobile screen, try to only show max 3 baloon dialog and max 2 panel. With that, the gap on each panel aren't too big or too small, which make the reader don't scroll too much or feeling too crowded with the text
What makes me always feel motivated when making a webtoon is i always remind myself, "what is the purpose that i'm doing this? ", i just want to tell my own story. I will always continue making as long as i still have a story to tell.
Heyyy, could someone pls tell me what each ballon means? And the square ones , like I have seen some that have darker outlines, some thinner and etc and I can’t tell if the character is thinking or talking 😅
Round baloon is usual talking dialog between character. The thicker the line mean the louder character speak. Square mean monologue. Thinking/inner thought flashy line. Dashed line for whispering. Jaggy line for screaming. Polygonal shape for machine dialog(like talking from phone/TV/etc).
Sometime to show the thinking dialogue, we can tell the difference by the baloon tail. Normal dialogue is usual pointy tail, but thinking baloon is like round tail
@@zaqareemalcolm well, if you make webtoon and you wanna make the printed version, you will follow the manga panelling format. So, both apply to each other. It's not that hard actually.
@@OkidsArtyoutube i mean the other direction, i had an old comic made prior to webtoons becoming popular (so ive never heard of it until after it was done), and it had a very wacky graphic style and non-standard paneling that really only worked in its original format. I tried editing it to vertical scroll but imo it really watered down the presentation
@zaqareemalcolm maybe you could read "Marry me!" Japanese manga/webtoon. It have 2 version, manga and webtoon, you can take it as a reference about the panelling.

@@OkidsArtyoutube yeah but the my page paneling is more like some gunnerkrigg court page (like beginning of chapter 50) or sandman overture
why do people think scrolling makes the comic move faster? while it takes all the fun away from reading the comic!!
Actually i worked on my new chapter a lot .. it took a lot of time to get finally only 3 likes mas and no comments what can i do ?😢
Share it to your social media like IG/tiktok/youtube/discord/etc
