  • Come to work with me as I create a Festive Garden Budget Makeover. A Winter Garden can still be bold and colourful in my budget garden makeover. Find out about Barratt London Hayes Village Development as well as enjoy a full winter garden tour. I also take you on a tour of Ansell Garden Center.
Fantastic ideas like colourful planting and furnishings to bring some new life into your garden, I hope you get some ideas for your very own garden makeover.
Over the next few years, I'll be working with local authorities and developers to help improve greenspaces in our towns and cities.

Jason I love your humor! You have done a splendid job flipping that 750 pound budget into something magical. Bravo. Congratulations on being selected as local nature champions! #bonnetflip 😁😁

Let me know if you want to learn more about the sheep wool peat free compost as I went to the farm to see it being made 🥰

@@CloudGardenerUK 😂 DON'T TEMPT ME!! 😆 (Also, so cool you'll be on this side! Will you be doing garden-y things? I'm partial to the doings of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, cuz it's my home borough, but the NY Botanical Garden in BX has an amazing orchid show every year, depending on when you make your trip)

That budget is the total garden budget I've had for the last 3 years (combined!). 😂 😭

Not 3 years! Bahaha.. to be honest.. the containers, soil, furnishings were really expensive. If I was coming to do your garden.. we'd skip them and invest in what you need first.. like soil, seeds, storage etc and upcycle containers to keep the costs down.
      How's your garden been doing?

@@CloudGardenerUK Who you tellin! My biggest expense this year (aka dang near my entire budget) was for 5 yards of soil to fill my new-ish raised beds. Cost me a grip! Being a guerilla gardener (upcycling, scavenging, penny pinching, etc) is what saves me every year, despite the trials & tribulations. 💚

@@CloudGardenerUK We had a weird season here. Very much affected by the Canadian wildfire smoke. Summer was much cooler and rainier than ordinary and tomatoes I sowed in March didn't start producing until (late) September, for example. I'm grateful for what I was able to accomplish: it was my best year for biodiversity (total new species observed) and that's a win bc my urban plot was BARREN, you hear me??, when I started. Challenging year overall and will be another lean winter. But I'm trying to grow some food indoors this winter (on a shelving unit 😬) so we'll see! Hope springs eternal 😌😅

Also I wonder what your opinion is on private allotments? I’ve just joined up to roots allotments to try a little plot and see if I can grow some stuff, obviously it’s not a council allotment as the waiting lists are so long but you pay a fee each month, it’s definitely more costly however I guess it is a chance to get out into nature and start growing, I just wonder your thoughts and opinions on it x
