I had a test ride on one of these this week. Great round town but on rural B roads I felt that the suspension and brakes were lacking.

Congrats on 450k subs man, that XSR sounded fantastic. How hard is it these days staying anonymous?
You mentioned it to the guy when the dude took pictures across the street (which I think is rude anyway), just go up and ask if you want a picture.
Getting harder and harder. I started to avoid certain areas where a lot of photographers congregate.
It must suck man having to avoid areas that you might enjoy normally or get good footage from. One day do you think it'll become totally unavoidable the bigger you inevitably get, and if it does happen what do you think you'd do?
That would be the day I quit YT.

That definitely is a great looking and great sounding bike.
It just has that certain character and appeal to it that certain bikes have and that is hard to explain.

I visited that shop about 2 weeks ago and had a good look at his XSR outside. The lady in The shop was very helpful, I only went in for a look and came out with a scala headset, whoops.

Your helmet is AGV AX-8, right? Such a good helmet for urban riding and gives a very wide angle of view.
surprised you noticed all that going on. And the back peddle to get out of the way and create some distance was brilliant. Most people would have just gotten jacked.

Owning an MT-09, I had this bike for a few hours when my bike was at the dealer for maintenance. Must say, the sound, the engine it was spot on. I just didn't like the leaning forward on it but other then that, great bike!
This bike is on my list of bikes to look at now that I am back in the market for a new bike :D Thanks RJ for the vid, love that akra sound :)
what is your co2 setting for each cyclinder. Mine with the baffles remove setting to 25
I love you RJ and I am a big fan but I don't agree with the bit you said about the 125's, I have a Yamaha YZF R125 and I put a scorpion exhaust on it because the stock was too quiet, I took the baffle out and I've loved it ever since! Yes it can be noisy if your riding late at night but otherwise the sound is lovely. Everyone has to start somewhere and has their own taste with exhaust sounds etc.

About the tyres, I was going to fit those Diablo III's to my bike, but they are very difficult to find and get hold of in Sout Africa.
Ended up fitting a set of Angel GT's!

RoyalJordanian RJ do you know any good exhaust for a Yamaha YZF R-125 ? Or if you could give me some tips about the exhausts...I don't know which exhaust could be a good one , a lot of people told me that Akrapovic are very good , but some told me that Scorpion is good too...
Akro, Scorpian, arrow, remus all well known brands that make nice exhausts. Its different for every bike. Use youtube see what you like the sound of and go for that.

be proud of me RJ i ride a yamaha YBR125 (cafe style) with a full leo vince corsa GP system, not an open pipe and baffle in as with out it, its fun but extremely obnoxious
I think that sounds so much better than a Bmw 9T with same type of exhaust system, just a beautiful sound
Lovely honest video RJ. Nice and quick on the visor. It's sad to see how fame can damage the fun a bit and that you always have to be on your guard. To me half the mystery of you is not knowing your identity and that's what makes you interesting. To me RJ you will always be made of solid Schuberth and Rukka; don't change and think a face reveal is required, stay the way you are. Lovely bike by the way!

I have this bike. Is that the Carbon akrapovic on it rj? I had the xsr700 before the 900 and had the carbon sounded amazing! Did he have the baffle in or out?

I am still loving my Husqvarna 650 Strada but would love to spend £1000-£1500 on a used road legal bike that I can take offroad that won't need too much maintenance. Can anyone offer some advice on some models to look at? Thanks :)

the xsr is exactly the same engine as the MT and the exhaust is the same.
I have the mt09 with the carbon akra on it just like this. sounds fantastic with the baffle out!

I don't know what you meant by the MT09 not sounding good because they are exactly the same engine RJ? And you get the same exhaust systems for them?
I meant the ones I heard, not the same exhaust system.
Also do you run de-cat systems on your bikes? That's why the S1000R spits flames?
All my bikes are de-cat'd.

i agree with RJ about the 125 being loud and annoying theres a regular bike that comes threw my turning at 7.30 am every morning snd its so loud it makes my windows vibrate

Not sure why you think this sounds better than the mt-09 because they are identical, just the body that's different. Maybe it's this particular exhaust that you prefer to the more common akra titanium with baffle out. Just like on the mt-07 everyone rides with it with the baffle out but it's so loud that it masks some of the character, modified the baffle on mine to what I personally think is the perfect sound.
