I have an Australian version of this car (2021 model, assembled in Japan). It does not have any issues with panel alignment or leaking. It comes with Michelin Primacy tyres. After 45000 km it has more than half of the thread. The fuel consumption is 4,5L/100 km during Summer (when is it not too hot) and 4,7 - 4,8 km/L during winter, during the rain or strong wind. My only complaint is that some of the plastic panels inside are not 100% quiet and sometimes make minor rattling noises, which are noticeable as the car is quiet overall. The overall comfort level is good - the ride is very smooth.
Overall I like Camry, but quality of the latest cars made in United States reminds me some of Russian cars, like VAZ… 😬🙈 Honestly, without Toyota emblem I would think I drive Lada Samara… 😅 I posted a new short video about 2023 Toyota Tundra SR5 TRD quick quality check… 🙈 ruclips.net/video/1m5E1B_cpPU/видео.html
12:42 That loud noise is the parking brake actuator, and it is automatic in all the newer Toyotas. I have a 19 Honda civic and it also has the same high pitched motor noise when the parking brake engages. The sound is normal and not from the hybrid system.
I have a 2019 Camry SE. Mine didn't have any of the loose interior parts. My TPMS is on the dash and isn't under any subscription. I love it. Mine is the regular SE though. It may not be a hybrid. But, it gets close to 41 mpg long distance driving. 15.8 gal tank. 3/4 tank got me 549 miles.
@japekto , I also have a non-hybrid 2019 Camry SE (built in the USA) and like you haven't noticed most of the annoying things Guepard Motors did. (Maybe I will now? 😏) I have black SofTex seats that are comfortable and probably easier to clean than cloth seats in the LE. I get gas mileage like yours and after 4+ years am still pleased with my SE. Nothing has needed repaired so far, just normal maintenance. I did upgrade the dome light to LED to get more light, which was a complaint in the video. And installed XSE taillights because the SE/LE taillights are dim and bland. This generation Camry is a great car!
I was really surprised to see all the quality issues that you had. I have a 2020 Toyota Camry XLE and it has been excellent. No rattles, all the body parts fit nicely. When driving on the interstate it feels like you're sitting still as it is so quiet and comfortable.. No wind noise at all.. I would say all cars are not assembled equally and with the same care and quality minded employees. I always look for things wrong with mine and can never find any..
@@MinhNguyen-bz2pd .. They sure are comfortable and quiet.. You can get up to 100 MPH and you can't hear anything or hardly feel it moving.. My sister bought a new XSE. It is real smooth however you can tell a difference with those low-profile 19 inch tires..
@@eyezz0 The 19in rims are low profile. You feel more of the rough pavement as you don't have the cushion being closer to the pavement. You also need to be careful not to hit a pothole as the rims are easily bent or broken if you do. My sister has a new XSE.. Windchill Pearl White with the pano roof and JBL. She really likes it.
That’s why I would rather spend a little more on Lexus. You can buy a 4 years old Lexus ES hybrid and quality is great. My 2017 ES350 is quiet as a mouse and not a single problem after 5.3 years of ownership.
My friend had 2006 Lexus LS400 and drove it for 500,000 miles without any issues. 💪🏻😎 He sold it last year. Could you please tell what gas milage do you have on your Lexus hybrid? :)
@@Guepard_Motors my Lexus is not a hybrid. I have a co worker who has a 2018 ES300H hybrid and he said he is getting at least 43MPG. this is the SF Bay Area and we don’t get that cold here. BTW, we are on the waiting list on a new Lexus NX350H hybrid AWD and from reviews, it should get 38-40MPG
@@Guepard_Motors you won’t regret buying Lexus. My wife and I have been driving Lexuses for the last 15 years and we plan to keep it that way. As soon as my son goes to college and take my ES350, guess what I will buy another Lexus, this time probably a Hybrid sedan like the ES300H or if budget allows, a 3-4 year old low mileage LC500H
@@jml9550 Buying a used hybrid car, I’m a bit concerned about battery health…😬 It’s pretty expensive to change it… 🙈 That’s why pre-owned old Priuses are pretty cheap now…
I got the same exact car 2021 with 90k miles. I use it 6 days a week to deliver goods. I average 47mpg and as high as 50 mpg in the city. This car is amazing and my wife and I love it. Much more room then the Corolla. I'd buy it again
Camry Hybrid mileage is great! I agree! Acceleration and steering is also very good! But that's all... :( Here is my recent Toyota warranty dealership experience - some more WOW and OOOPS and WTH!? 🤣🫣 ruclips.net/video/ByZaZ8ws30w/видео.html
Wow! It's all in the details for sure. Can't tell you how much I appreciate your video. Absolutely loved the way you pointed things out showing the real usage issues. Vehicles are too expensive to put up with those kind of defects. Something I never thought of is the shiny black interior reflecting the sun. My wish list is a 4runner and the TRD off-road model has the shiny black. We keep our vehicles 20+ years and the next one will be the last one to purchase so financially I am terrified of making a wrong decision. Seems like everything is expensive junk these days. Again, this is the absolute best real world review I have ever seen. Thank you
was looking at camry and subaru legacy...you made up my mind...got the legacy...found none of the camry problems and more extras for less money. your review was super. thank you

Great review. I have the 2021 Camry LE hybrid. Purchased it new. I don't seem to be having the issues you are having. Mine must be a Tuesday car. LOL. The only annoying issue I have is when it is cold outside I do have a rattle in the dash. Mine just turned 35 K miles. I would buy it again. Zero mechanical problems. You should find the time to get those items repaired before your warranty expires. Best Wishes with the car.
Sorry for the late reply. Mine started rattling in some new places 🙈 Here is my recent Toyota warranty dealership experience - some more WOW and OOOPS and WTH!? 🤣🫣 ruclips.net/video/ByZaZ8ws30w/видео.html
I have a 2020 Le with 178,000 on it. The same here no problems and currently no squeaks. I always follow maintenance schedule service intervals. On average i get 45mpg with 80% on the highway @80 mph. For the money solid car. Will trade in for 2025 xle to get better interior and more comfortable seats.
Wow, I can't believe the difference in build quality comparing to models intended for European market. I live in Europe and bought a Camry hybrid from new (built in Japan) and it has none of these problems. I think the reason between this discrepancy in quality comes from the fact that Toyota competes with VW in Europe, (so they need to have high standards to convince Europeans to buy it over VW, especially because Toyota doesn't sell as many diesel models as VW, and in general Europeans prefer diesel) where as in America from what I know they are segment leaders in the majority of cases (which may lead to these sorts of letdowns in build quality). In my opinion the Camry is a great car, and there shouldn't be such big build quality problems no matter the factory location, but unfortunately I think that the lack of such serious competition led to them to have lower proffesionalism levels in building these cars because they know people will still buy them. Please keep us updated on the mechanical reliability as well as I think we all are curious if there are differences there too.
For the noise in the ceiling. Check above your rear view mirror. There is a black thing up there that is to access the radar. Maybe it's the access panel vibrating
Regarding you having problems locking the car, I know a lot of modern cars are confusing with how to use their proximity keys so I’ll give some information on what I have learned with my ‘20 Camry hybrid. The car must be completely turned off for you to lock it. This is because if the car is on in any mode (whether it be the engine on or just accessory mode) it wants the key to be in the car. If the car is on and you take the key out of the car and close the door it’ll beep at you. I could tell that in those clips the car was still on because the screens were on. With the car completely off, if you press the start button once without depressing the brake pedal it goes into a degraded mode which I find to be useless because most of the systems are off in this mode, but I don’t think you can lock it from the outside in this mode. To turn the car off in this mode, press the power button two more times. When you press the power button two more times, you can either press it twice while depressing the brake pedal, twice without depressing the brake pedal, or once with first then once without. If you push the button without pressing brake then once with, you have to press it one more time. This is because when you press the power button while pressing brake the car will always turn completely on, whether in that degraded mode, accessory mode, or if it is completely off. With the car completely off, if you press the power button twice without depressing the brake pedal, it goes into accessory mode. Press the button one more time without depressing the brake to turn the car off. Obviously if you depress the brake pedal and push the power button once the car turns completely on. To turn it off from here only press the button once. In short, if you press the button three times, all without pressing the brake pedal, it will go into a degraded mode, then accessory, then off. If you depress the brake and press the button, it will always turn the engine on and it’ll be ready to drive. Only press the button one more time to turn it off after driving it. If the car is completely off and still doesn’t want to lock then there’s something wrong with it. Hope this helped. Lastly the sound you heard at 12:42 I think was the electronic parking brake. I found it annoying at first but got used to it.
Outrageous. I am a die hard Toyota fan, but this was a real eye opener. All I can say is stick with Japanese-assembled Toyotas. 4Runners are still built quite well. But this lack of fit is awful. I will need to check out competing models by Kia and Hyundai when shopping. One of the best real world auto critiques Thanks for the video,

Sadly it is not. Sounds comes from under the ceiling liner from the passenger side. Sunglasses box was empty, glasses were on my face. And there is already a soft material in there.
I had similar concerns with my 2021 Prius Prime, seemingly poor build quality and cheap feeling interior parts, rattles, etc. After one year the steering wheel started making a groaning noise when turning right and the rear suspension started creaking, left it with the dealer for a couple of days and they said it was normal. Sold the car after that. It was my first Toyota and I had very high hopes for the quality, I was not expecting such poor build quality since they have such a good reputation.
Made in japan vehicles are better made. Also the Toyota name is known for the vehicle still driving 20-50 years later. Not for the door squeaking or other minor cosmetic or vanity driven issue.
I own 2017 Camry it’s build in Kentucky like yours. Build quality is perfect. I have none of the issues you have. That’s why it’s smart to buy last year if production model not first year like you did
Get the middle trim for some of the better materials and doesn't feel like a rental car, like the soft tex seats. But I agree some of the complaints are valid. I also highly recommend you that don't charge any electronic from the car power outlets, use an extra portable power bank instead. Cause it might decrease or damage the car's hybrid battery. Lastly, it looks like you're more suitable for RAV4 hybrid...
Was your Camry made in North America or Japan ? Mine was made in Japan (delivered to Australia) and most of these problems I do not have - one example, my tires are Michelin and very good. My Camry still feels like new after 15 months old ! and looks great inside and out, all interior fitments solid, no rattles inside or outside. Engine runs like a dream !

The rubber floor mats are cheaper and thinner than previous 7th generation camry. Also the center console can develop a rattling sound. Just my experience. I don't have many or any of these issues on my 24 camry le..only the thin all weather floor liners AND the head resets tilted forward is very uncomfortable on long drives and the stock Firestone tires aren't very good in poor weather conditions. Thank you for letting me know. Now I know what to look for when buying a Toyata. 1. Make sure it was made in Japan and not in U.S or Canada. 2. Make sure you don't need bs like app to check car tire pressure or other info they show in dashboard for other Toyota models without any subscription like RAV4. 3. Make sure the car was never in an accident before. 4. Drive it and listen for noise both car and streer By the way the keyfob problem happens from time to time in most toyata models. Even changing the battery don't work.

Wow, this must have been built on a Friday before a long weekend! Those panel gaps are unacceptable and you should have Toyota fix that (but I get the hassle of taking it in to get fixed.) Same with the lousy plastic parts that rattle or squeak. I'm really surprised 😞

just got a camry and corolla hybrid. love them both. the camry looks better and has more features. i still have and love my lc80 more than these new cars though. i take the hybrids when i know i will be going through lots of traffic and want to save gas.
We had a brand new 2nd gen Toyota RAV4. The most Reliable car we had. But quality was, cheap, cheap and cheap. TOYOTA knows the art of making reliable cars with old proven tech and with lowest possible cost making above average profit for the company. They say customers comes first but I think they just know how to make money.
I have had 6 camrys in my life, I still have a 2005, and had a 2018 and 2019, and never had a single issue you comment on. Thank you for the review! You have sold me on purchasing a different car in the future. I have known since the air bag problems that the quality of Toyota has gone downhill. I rented a Toyota Camry around 2010. I have been an owner of 2 Chevrolet Impala cars, and found the Camry not as comfortable to drive. I also did not like the winding gear shift for automatic. I purchased a Honda Ridgeline 3 years ago, and really like it. However, like your findings, I did have some issues with a rear door and panel behind that door, where they were not lined up well, and door would not always shut unless slammed shut. Honda dealer fixed the panel, but could not line up the door well enough. They blamed it on the rubber insulation around the door frame. Small issues, but would buy another Honda, as overall this has been my favorite vehicle for driving and utility. I hope that Toyota improves their production quality. I really like AWD. Honda does not have that option on the Accord, yet. However, with good all weather tires, my Impala drives pretty good with just front wheel drive in the snow.
Thank you for the info! What car brand and model would you buy now? I had 2000 Honda Accord Coupe front wheel drive and loved it (just transmission was not very reliable). Even in severe snow with Nokian Hakkapeliitta tyres it always handled great. To be honest as a former rally racing pilot and owner of AWD cars I think all wheel drive sedan cars are over rated. For the city use even in snowy and icy regions front wheel drive cars are good enough. AWD is mostly for off-road and needs more maintenance and more expensive to fix. If 4wd car looses traction it’s harder to “catch” it on the road, than front wheel or even rear wheel drive car, cause AWD behaves like both at the same time… 😅
With so many minor issues, it is worth visiting a Toyota dealer to fix them once and for all. Toyota cars are durable and can last for long time. Your car was probably manufactured in the US when there were COVID restrictions and labor shortage. Lemons were most likely produced at that time. My 2016 Camry still drives like a dream.
Philip, previous Camrys and other models were made much better quality: assembly and materials… I don’t think we could blame employees for bad plastic quality… 🤷🏼 How many miles do you have on your Camry?

We have had a number of toyota cars and the headrests in the new models along with the seat bolsters hurt my back after just an hour of driving. They curl my shoulders in and push my head forward. I wonder if I could just take the headrests out and turn them around. We just bought a 2023 corolla and the seat bolsters arent quite as prominent but they still curl my shoulders in. Its a car built for small people I guess. At 6 ft and 200 lbs its just not as comfortable as I would like. Was thinking a camry would fix those issues but looking at your video maybe not. I havent had any panel gap issues or been bothered by the plastics even though some may move and squeak. No water leaks either. I would hope toyota would fix that for you. Last thing is the corolla we have was 31k out the door with extended warranty gap and all that. Its not bad but still a small fortune for a car @ 500 a month
Many of your critiques are not new, in fact, my old 2011 shows some of these. I agree (and appreciate the review), but I would purchase Toyota again, but I have to remember, Toyota is trying to make the Camry good for everyone. The new mandates to make it more "hip &stylish" along with more power, more "sports" create the fact that the stiffer suspension, and scratches along the front bumper. I have been leary of jumping forward to a new model, as I know that as the Camry updates itself, it has in fact more computers on board managing every component fail more and more expensive to repair. I prefer to manage to diagnose and repair my older models. I also notice, that Toyota has selected not to go forward on the "All electric" bandwagon, preferring to stick to the hybrids it pioneered and has good execution on. I will watch the market and continue to wait for a model that I think I can leave my older Camry for, in the future.
This is why people buy SUVs... I'm in my 50s, had Sedans all my life, but switched to SUVs, and one of the reasons it's just easier to get in and out of without ducking, hitting your knees or your head when you get in and out of the vehicle. I'm never going back to Sedans... I think you need to reconsider your vehicle type at this point in your life.
I have a 2018 Se hybrid and love it. Also I’m not OCD so maybe I just don’t notice. Did you buy a used car? This isn’t my first Camry and they’ve always come with Michelin tires.

Mine too. What a ride with Mich…. I own a 2012 Hybrid with 103.000 miles. I travel twice a year from Texas to NJ and back. His glasses make that noise on the top. There is a definite workmanship problem with that car. Specially hitting his rear on the ground .I also enjoy the size of the trunk. The competition all have smaller trunks.

2019 Camry Hybrid here and you NAILED all the issues. Mine is worse though the engine is very rough especially at idle. ANSWER: Trash American Manufacturing. When these were built in Japan, they had MUCH higher quality.
Thanks for video. I think you got a lemon. On my 22 SE, I haven’t had any of these quality issues. If I start, back to my dealer I go. Esp if I got water leaking inside or I couldn’t properly lock my car. Unacceptable.
The build in Canada ones are terrible. I have one. Front right quarter panel have gap. Trunk rattles when you close it. Hate piano black due to dust and oil from fingerprints. Rubbery texture degraded over time, maybe UV. Quality gone down, but engine and transmission still good quality. Seems to be compromise, not perfect.
I did have a test drive, but they gave me a different car. I was a bit excited and could not imagine I would have issues I mentioned, so I did not even check the one I got. Just signed the papers and drove off. Plus some flaws showed up after a few months of using this Camry.
@@jpdoc5722 I leased this one and have one more year. The only thing I love about it - is that it’s hybrid… I love the gas milage and torque… Really. I would maybe consider next a Honda Accord My family has had many Accords and they all have lasted a VERY long time and none of these quality issues after way more miles and years!
Lot of those issues can be taken back to the dealer and fixed plus you bought a base model so you can’t expect Lexus quality and as far as the headrests they are like there for it safety and that noise when you put it in park Is the parking brake activating you can turn that feature off if you want better quality go with a higher trim and with the pre-collision system idk why is doing that could be your driving because I have the same system in my Corolla and had no issues
I will take it back to dealer, but the issues I’m talking about have nothing to do with “Lexus quality”. So if I’m asking for not leaking window, trunk not hitting bumper, better paint job and etc - I’m asking for “Lexus quality”?! 😅 It is lack of quality at all. I’ve owned many different Toyota’s in my life and this one is the worst in the matter of quality. Plus check my 2023 Toyota Tundra TRD video for the price of Lexus… What can you say about that? ✌🏻😬
"why should I remember to turn something off?"...?!? This guy simply pushed for more Issues by all means... No, you shouldn't turn things off, just leave the Car with Engine runnin and go to Work, FFS..?!!? He needs a Driver and a Nurse, everything hurts when he's in a Car.
I'm comparing apples to oranges but I have a limited Subaru legacy and while the XLE Camry trim would be more comparable, there is a huge difference in fit and finish. The cars are comparable in dimensions but the cosmetic and finish are far superior. Tire pressure should be a standard display with TPMS. Paying extra for it??? The automatic braking is quite smooth in the Subaru too. While Toyota's are in general more reliable than Subarus for sure, i found your video very informative and very surprising. That being said, the windshield wipers in the Subaru didn't last for more than a year either 😁
I've owned a few Toyotas and have never encountered build quality issues like those you've mentioned. Not even after putting 180k plus km on them. Where was yours put together...?
@Alvin Simba Hey Alvin, what country are you in? I don't think we are all that lucky in that respect here in the States. There really seems to be very low moral amongst auto workers here in the US . Workers often take little pride in the work that they do, substance abuse is rampant and as a nation we currently are in the midst of a severe labor shortage. Employees are bitter and intentional sabotage by employees in the industry isn't unheard of. I would happily pay the import taxes on a vehicle assembled in Japan if given the option at least under current conditions.
yeah yeah its TOYOTA CAMRY. Poor quality but everybody loves it,everybody wants it. Thats a realism. I will have it in two days CAMRY SE NON HYBRID. Thank you for your experience, I will definitely take all this moments shown here into consideration.

There are things that you should have noticed right away before purchasing. The trunk gap, the rattles, steering wheel issues. Those should have been a red flag.
The problem is that I bought it through a trustworthy sales person (I thought so) and I could not even think that brand new Toyota would be so bad, so I just totally relaxed and did not pay attention to all of that... If it would be used I would definitely walk around for an hour... Here is my update: ruclips.net/video/Mybxgq3qHyc/видео.html
Why do people with bad backs think lumber support on cars is what's need. Lumber support is a con. As some one who been through numerous spinal operations I can tell you lumber support is the last thing you want . It's uncomfortable and in the wrong place
Toyota quality isn’t the same like it was in the 90’s thru the early 2000’s. I’ve owned older Lexus and Toyota vehicles from way back then, and I will tell you that the interiors of the older Toyota vehicles were much higher quality. Everything from the plastic parts, to the vinyl and leather trim, which were way more durable and tough, to the paint quality, it was much better back in the days even if their interiors were a bit bland and basic looking. For instance the door panels of a 2003 Lexus ES330 and an RX300 are extremely solid feeling with high touches. Both vehicles have durable interiors that don’t creak or rattle after hundreds of thousands of miles unlike the new Toyotas that feel like they’re made from cheap Fisher-Price toy plastic and metals. The poor quality of materials of the new Camry was shocking to me to say the least. I don’t know why all the mainstream car reviewers never pointed this out, as even the most non car person out there could easily tell how cheaply made the new Camry is put together.
@@k2229 I had multiple Toyotas in my life: 1991 Toyota Celica GT Four ST185, 1998 Toyota Celica ST200, Toyota Vista AWD, etc. We’ve built multiple projects based on Toyotas like Celica ZZT231, Supra, Mark II, etc and etc and quality was absolutely different comparing to these days… I was always a Toyota fan and I’m personally really sadden with what’s happening to their cars now…
I wonder if the lower trims like LE, and Hybrid LE get lower grade materials. I have a '21 Camry SE Nightshade and the fit and finish is excellent nothing creaks or leaks. I love mine! Perhaps the quality control team didn't do a great job of inspecting the quality of your car when it was made. :(
Sadly, the quality problem is not only with cheapest Toyota trims… I few days ago I was at Toyota dealership and was able to have a look at Toyota Tundra TRD for $73,000… I took some pictures. 🙈 Will post a short video soon…
The SE is a lower grade.. you can add options to an LE or SE to make them more premium.. There are a lot of stripped SE's as well. The two premium well-equipped Camry's are the XSE and XLE. They are as different as night and day between the LE and SE.. You get premium LED lighting as well as the upgraded premium daytime running lights. Heated Leather seating and dual power seats.. and too much more to mention.
@@joeappaya I think only 4Runner is made in Japan. Just checked on Tacoma TRD and it has 10% parts from Japan, 50% from US and Canada, other 40% they don’t tell and assembled in Mexico…
The problem is that the Camry is built in Toyota's second worst plant, TMMK. Assembly quality is horrible. The only plant worse is TMMTX in San Antonio, the build quality is bad. The best time to buy a Camry is on their first model year of the Redesign, those are built in Japan, and the quality is excellent.
This guy is so much thorough and observant to the point of having OCD !!
He should be a quality Control Inspector for every car manufacturer !!

Overall I like Camry, but quality of the latest cars made in United States reminds me some of Russian cars, like VAZ… 😬🙈 Honestly, without Toyota emblem I would think I drive Lada Samara… 😅 I posted a new short video about 2023 Toyota Tundra SR5 TRD quick quality check… 🙈

12:42 That loud noise is the parking brake actuator, and it is automatic in all the newer Toyotas. I have a 19 Honda civic and it also has the same high pitched motor noise when the parking brake engages. The sound is normal and not from the hybrid system.
Good points to check out if considering a 2025 Camry LE.
Same experience with my XLE. Very comfortable car for long trip.
@@charlesjackson1700I’m thinking of getting the XSE. What difference is there with 19 inch tires?
@@eyezz0 The 19in rims are low profile. You feel more of the rough pavement as you don't have the cushion being closer to the pavement. @@charlesjackson1700 Oh alright thanks man and congrats to your sister.

That's why I got a Lexus ES300h, Camry was actually small, I liked the Avalon but the ES was even better. "Only" 37mpg but I'll live
Where is the car made in? Mexico?
Nope. United States… Kentucky.
Check this out, also assembled by Toyota USA… ruclips.net/video/QgZuR5KJJ0E/видео.html

That sound from the ceiling is from your sunglasses.. I have it in my car too. Adding a microfiber clothe inside helps👍
Was your prius made in Japan what country did it specify on the VIN number to indicate where it was built. ?
4. Drive it and listen for noise both car and streer
By the way the keyfob problem happens from time to time in most toyata models. Even changing the battery don't work.

Maybe I missed it but do you know where the car was manufactured; in the US or Japan? I have heard that the US assembly is below par.

Will Toyota fix the seal under warranty
We will know soon! Going to ask Toyota dealer next week. 😎
Sorry. My Camry is of 2015 and not 2016. Present mileage is just over 80,000 kms.
Yep! 2015 - 2017 Camry rated the best! Which what I have! 🎉
Too many issues for a Toyota. Thank you for sharing. Was thinking of 2024 Camry in mid 2023 but will look more at Honda.

For lot of people this is very good car , best selling car in USA . You’ll be surprised to see orher car brends quality….
Are you sure that toyota wasn't in an accident.

Sorry for the late reply. We got our Camry brand new from the Toyota dealership.

Toyota quality is crap. The 2024 camry Hybrid also has similar quality issues.
Wow, when I purchased my SE Camry it came with Michelin all season tires they lasted for about 80,000 miles.
Which Michelins, I’m looking to get a set for my SE

2019 Camry Hybrid here and you NAILED all the issues. Mine is worse though the engine is very rough especially at idle.
ANSWER: Trash American Manufacturing. When these were built in Japan, they had MUCH higher quality.
I feel you. I got 18 Camry xle hybrid
Thanks for video. I think you got a lemon. On my 22 SE, I haven’t had any of these quality issues. If I start, back to my dealer I go. Esp if I got water leaking inside or I couldn’t properly lock my car. Unacceptable.
all camerys like that?
The build in Canada ones are terrible. I have one. Front right quarter panel have gap. Trunk rattles when you close it. Hate piano black due to dust and oil from fingerprints. Rubbery texture degraded over time, maybe UV. Quality gone down, but engine and transmission still good quality. Seems to be compromise, not perfect.
Sad to hear that... :( I've also checked out 2023 Toyota Tundra Platinum - there is even more "fun"! 🙈 ruclips.net/video/QgZuR5KJJ0E/видео.html
did you have a good look on the car or even did a test drive before you bought?
I did have a test drive, but they gave me a different car. I was a bit excited and could not imagine I would have issues I mentioned, so I did not even check the one I got. Just signed the papers and drove off. Plus some flaws showed up after a few months of using this Camry.
@@Guepard_Motors 😞, I’d sell the car if I’m you while the car is still worth a lot & get a Japanese made one👍
@@jpdoc5722 I leased this one and have one more year. The only thing I love about it - is that it’s hybrid… I love the gas milage and torque… Really. Plus it’s really hard to find hybrid cars in stock now and prices and loan rates are much higher, than 1-2 years ago… I will wait till next year and hopefully prices would drop because of the coming financial crisis in US… 😬
@@Guepard_Motors Then the problem is solved already 😃 One year passes like nothing from my experience. Just use your car and enjoy its shortcomings. You will miss them 😌

Nothing can't beat Japan made products
I have a 2010 Civic and it no were near the quality of the 1989 Civic that I owned. I can't imagine how much cheaper they are now.
I've checked Nissan Titan and it's much better made, but can't compare to old ones cause I had my last Nissan Terrano like 20 years ago. ruclips.net/video/WjW6TSEgui0/видео.html

You have a lot of issues with your Camry compared to mine. I would think that the dealership should have to rectify a lot of these problems.

I am guessing that rattling sound from the ceiling is from the SOS button cover
Thank you for the input. 🙏🏻 I tried to check it again and I don’t think so. It’s not coming from the front… I will take it to dealer soon.
you should try the 2023 model of camry, a tall man can not sit in drivers seat looks good thouh just not practical
I've tried Toyota Mirai - OMG, with the front seat all the way back I could not get in!!! 🤣 They have like $17,000 discount on it now.
Haha.Your are funny! Thank you! You made my day :)))
That door latch cover assembly is droken that why
Kentucky probably, but that doesn't mean it was bad quality. You guys are luck to buy vehicles manufactured from home.

Very nice review
Thank you, Mike! 🙏🏻😎
The Camrys of old, are not built the same as today. Old Toyotas came from Japan. If a car is not built in Japan......don't buy.
Where was your camry built? Usa or canada?
Have no idea, will try to figure out, but more than sure this Camry was built in USA.
@@Guepard_Motors it says it by the driver’s door

@@k2229 I had multiple Toyotas in my life: 1991 Toyota Celica GT Four ST185, 1998 Toyota Celica ST200, Toyota Vista AWD, etc. We’ve built multiple projects based on Toyotas like Celica ZZT231, Supra, Mark II, etc and etc and quality was absolutely different comparing to these days… I was always a Toyota fan and I’m personally really sadden with what’s happening to their cars now…
Dont forget its assembled in Kentucky

Toyota need to make station wagon Camry
The problem is that the Camry is built in Toyota's second worst plant, TMMK. Assembly quality is horrible. The only plant worse is TMMTX in San Antonio, the build quality is bad. The best time to buy a Camry is on their first model year of the Redesign, those are built in Japan, and the quality is excellent.
