There is no reason that 16" alloys of the same width as the steelies would hurt fuel mileage. Case in point: the Accord Hybrid EX-L's 17" alloy, vs their louder, less efficient 19's on the Hybrid Sport and Hybrid Touring.
Toyota is being way too cheap with the LE. I also hate that they have hubcaps on the LE. I drive a 2020 Honda Accord Hybrid with the 17 inch. It looks better than the Camry.

That’s a really difficult question for me to answer as torque in this output doesn’t mean very much. The engine peaks at 176 (or maybe it’s 163 lb-ft, It’s been a little since I’ve looked at the specs for the camry hybrid). Torque is a measure of twisting force but power is the total work able to be done (it factors in rpm and torque into the equation). You typically want more torque because that means more power at lower rpms, however this has electric assistance to make up down low for the engine’s lack of power in low rpms. In short, it doesn’t feel like a normal car but the thrust feels like it would be around the 200-220 mark at low (2500) rpms.

Tires are gonna wear faster when the car is heavier also.
Which bites into $ that you save with the hybrid.
Meh, not really. Just buy your tires at discount, free rotation there whenever you need it. I had a hybrid I used for Uber. Could get a year out of the tires easy
I own a xse hybrid you can still average 50 mpg which is better than what the paper suggested
It's the EPA, they do the same test for all of them (and the mileage is usually conservative), not my numbers.
you must drive super slow??
How is the acceleration compares to the Accord Hybrid?
By numbers, very similar. It also has direct drive so it should have better response too but I can’t confirm this because I have not driven one.
My friend has one and his trunk is so small, he can barely put a set of golf clubs inside it. Not good if taking a trip with luggage.
What would be estimate of combined torque equivalent?
@@Realistick thank you. I am coming from a 2.0t 250 hp 250 tq sonata and realize the camry wouldn't be as powerful but hoping i wouldnt notice huge difference.
Mpg is 52? Did you check? It shows 46 on Toyota site.
It’s both, as I said in this video, 52 is for the LE which has smaller wheels.
Anyone wants to talk about the map blinking? What’s with that?
Shutter speed on the camera, it changes automatically with the brightness of the situation and can sometimes cause that flickering!
@@Realistick ahh thank you
Does it come with breakfast?
Is it worth to get it or should I wait for Crown 2023?
Cant comment on the crown too much yet, but if you want to save some money, I can’t see you being disappointed with the Camry.
Camry > Crown especially considering the price points.
Cool man
The thick thighed homies😂
An esteemed title
Great review! I'm getting my LE Hybrid in a few days and looking forward to it! You'll pardon me if I take your critique of the bells and whistles with a grain of salt. I've never had any of these things. The youngest car I've had was an '05 and the car I'm hopping from is an '01. Not exactly the latest and greatest, in terms of the infotainment. I intend to keep this until the wheels fall off and I've heard nothing but good things about this car(This will be my first Toyota purchase), so I'm hoping to get 10-20 years out of the Camry!
Did you buy a brand new 2023 Camry LE Hybrid? How much did you pay including taxes? I am very interested and looking for one.
@@myytchannel6632 Yes, mine's brand new. My OTD price (MSRP + trans fee + ceramic coating + underbelly rustproof + Tax, Title, License tags & Doc fee) was 32k. No markups.
@@romansOneSixteen Wow. That is a VERY GOOD price. What dealership did you buy from? Let me call them and see if they can sell to someone out of state. Are you in Wyoming? I am in Texas. If I find one for that same out the door price, I will buy it today. Let me know what dealership you bought from.
@@myytchannel6632 I got mine from McGrath Toyota. They're in Iowa City, IA. It was a heckuva drive, but it was worth it.
@@myytchannel6632 @MyYTChannel I exaggerated the drive a bit. I'm from IA, I just had to drive from the other end of the state to get it. I don't believe sales are restricted to residents. I've seen ppl at dealerships that are from out of state. You shouldn't have an issue.
And yes, it was a good deal. I'm counting my blessings, given the current market. I was considering the Accord, but the Camry was available first.
Too bad, this thing cost like 40k in the current market.
No kidding. It costs even more when you go to sign papers and they trick you with warranties you do not need.
My 2020 XLE seemed like it never lost value
@@trainsandlocomotives I love mine as well.. I bought my 2020 Camry XLE and the Wind Chill Pearl right before things started getting crazy.
That driving position looks so awkward. Who sits like that? Did you have to visit a chiropractor after the test drive?
You can have your car built and delivered.
A bit ridiculous that this Sedan is being compared with SUV. I hate SUVs because they lean too much when taking a curve. The reason why I like Sedans and seating low.
Did you just play a sound clip from Carti? LOL
I can’t remember but that sounds right 😂
14:51 wrong.
Just give me the LE. Throwing a hybrid battery in a landfill won't help the environment.
Except cvt transmissions don’t last! 4:24
Do some research on Toyota e-cvts. Or just research on Toyota’s cvt, or Honda’s. Not everything is a Nissan.
@@Realistick my cousin is a mechanic at Toyota, I doubt he doesn’t know what he’s talking about!
@@tonyl1483 That's cool, ask him about e-cvts then. They are proven well beyond a single person's opinion.
The flashing screen is really annoying
Greetings from southern Ontario Canada I really enjoyed the video however I'm looking forward to seeing the crown as the camry is getting dated and boring
Thank you, I cant wait to drive one either, it's super funky and I want to find out if it is a good funky!
New camry lacking interior quality it's also too low and rough over bumps oh yea it defrost very slow i mean super slow i miss my old camry.
Hybrid batteries are high-maintenance and can be prone to failure. I wouldn’t touch a hybrid car.
There’s not really any maintenance outside probably needing to replace it in 12 to 15 years. Go in expecting that and you’ll be fine.
@@Realistick Batteries must be kept cool. One more unnecessary thing to worry about.
That's old school mentality, especially with Toyota's. Pretty maintenance free and designed to last a looooooongggg time (pretty much your lifetime)
@@bobbygargari1252 Hybrid batteries don’t like heat, which is why they have fans, with filters, which must be cleaned often. Owners are advised to use AC during the summer to cool the batteries. And, leaving the car parked anywhere on a hot day, without the benefit of the fan and AC, will deplete the battery over time.
@joelthorne7434 would love to see the data in your clearly scientific, non biased, experimentally proven opinion.
Really looks dated.
It is still very well sought after for its reliability.
So does your Chevy Cobalt
All new one is coming soon
The infotainment looks so backwards and unpleasant
Shoo fly
Does 2023 camry hybrid offer wireless apple CarPlay? Cant seem to find info anywhere
I think I mentioned this in the video but no. All of the old UI cars don’t have it wireless.
The 2024 Camry will offer wireless.
