im a writer, been writing novels for years. now, im reigniting my love for comics and manga--the biggest blockage is definitely my drawing skills. im a true 100% beginner noob and it sucks that every time I open a canvas on medibang paint to start drawing, I close it cuz im scared. but thanks, I really needed this motivation :') artists have to start somewhere
I'M IN THE SAME PAGE YOU ARE PAL. Don't give up, ugly drawings might come out but that's a need, you can never be good if you never try in the first place. As a writer I despise my first stories, but I know that now I like how I write because those silly little badly put together stories existed. No one was born knowing how to, so just try it! Also, it doesn't need to look perfect. Araki-sensei made it to the Louvre but his artstyle back in Jojo's Part I was nowhere near his current style c:
There's nothing wrong with collabing with an artist to make your story a reality. There are plenty of artists that are good at drawing but lack writing skills to make a manga or a comic.
@@UltimatePerfection oh I know this but I have 0 money and haven't found someone willing to do it for the love of it :(( So that means I gotta cultivate the skill and do it myself! Which of course is a lesson in overcoming frustration lol

You guys should stop saying "I can't" and start saying "i will" i will make manga i will storyboard i will make a anime adaptation i will never give up!
Yeah! Our actions depends on our mind, if it works negatively, no wonder you act negatively, same with thinking positively that creates positive actions. (You can still be realistic with this though, lol!)
3:45 - As someone who struggles daily with my age, and with the very real thought that it might be too late for me, this hits so close to home. However, the sheer cliff of insecurity also prevents me from truly getting going, so these days its more of a slog, forcing myself to do it, and to just suffer through the mental stress of the insecurity in the same of the story...sigh...its pure suffering, but if I stop fighting, the story will never happen...So, figuratively bleeding and battered, i keep moving forwards, one, step, at, a, time.... of course, it doesnt help that I keep insisting on drawign stuff i don't actually know how to draw, but because its the right thing for the story XD
Thats the spirit!😃 Of course I have no idea what struggles you have to deal with, but with this mindset you are definitely on the right path. One step at a time, like you said👍

I always keep on self doubting myself I told this to my siblings who are in their 30s and I'm 19 and I told them this and they are fully supportive on the idea my brother who got me into anime and manga is very supportive the same with my sister except she's not into what me and my brother are into but we all have atleast one thing we love they both always seem to know what I like and what I don't like and they always say if that's what you want then go for it out of all of my family members including my cousins I was always different from the rest they always like sports music you know the regular stuff that Polynesians love but for me I just love anime, mangas, cartoons all that stuff
I have never storyboard before thats something that I've like never did but I've storyboarded now and its so fun the process was kinda painful on how bad the characters were presented but that didn't stop me i kept drawing and drawing nothing has gotten in my mind no heart breaks just drawing i like character designs i can go above and beyond. I will come outta my comfort zone i will make manga and make my manga a actual anime even though I'm 11 years old.
I feel a little called out on that last one, but I do want to keep improving, but when should I start sharing? I'm not that good, but I have ideas, lots of them. Should I just do it anyway?
